THE YEAR IS 2543, nine years before the end of the Human-Covenant war. Humanity and the Covenant are in the thick of their conflict. The UNSC is constantly being pushed back deeper into their own territory.
For now, the flood sleeps, the sentinels continue their age old work, and the genocide continues.
Will you defend the remaining UNSC colonies to the death or guide the Covenant to certain victory?

Sorry, none yet. The first version will be for Entrenchment only, with versions coming out for the different versions of Sins as well.

i love the forerunner ship
Definitely been a while since I made a serious post here in the Sins forums or cleaned up the topic. Updated the gallery as well, it had a bunch of dreadful pictures from a year ago.
Anyways, this is the Thanatos-class Destroyer, meant to replace the aging Gorgon-class. The Thanatos is more of your 'actual' destroyer role-type, as its predecessor fulfills the meat-shield role quite well. It's armed to the teeth and more than a match for Covenant ships, but, like all good things in life, it has to be researched.
Did you make the mesh and do the texturing?
Very nice.
We're looking for a particle effects guy...
Several problems:
I've decided that I'm far too inconsistent to do that kind of job.
I don't have a modding comp. My old one died.
I gave Fredled a plasma torpedo effect that looked really good. Go ask him for it, unless he's been gone for far too long.
If you like, you may salvage whatever you like from Totaleffects.
That would be brilliant, I've had my eye on your missile particle for some time now...
You'll be credited accordingly, of course.
finally putting that ship huh? armoured to the teeth, sweet. will it be as strong if not stronger than a marathon or will it be a bit weaker than the cap ships in place now?
o btw its me jrspartan, the only reason that im halopedian is because i cant change my name for some reason...
I've been lurking and following this mod, it looks very promising. Any new information since its been almost two months?
You'll want to check the moddb page for the most updated information.

Yeah, I usually forget to update here.
I just looked at some of your implementations of Totaleffects, and viewing the feedback from some people...
I think that you should move the Tactical Targeting buff effect to "below" attachment.
Having it inside the ship makes it look weird... (no offense, just a constructive suggestion...)
Ive been waiting for this mod for sooooo long!!! I can't wait! don't make the mod crappy, but please release it sometime in the near future.
So, the last official update was quite a long time ago and with all this talk of a beta and a release and what not I am going to clarify what will or won't be happening, what could happen, and what has happened.
I know I usually tend to forget the official SoaSE forums when I update the mod for the public, but I'm here to rectify that. Don't want you thinking we had died by any means. Behind the curtains there has been much gameplay work as we get closer to the next big step in developing the mod: Finalizing the research trees. While the UNSC are nearing this milestone, the Covenant still have work to be done but are still not far behind.
Also, it would be a disservice to not mention the fantastic young texturer who joined SotP, Annihilator102. He's finally giving our units and modules a unified texture style, as opposed to be a hodge-podge mix of different styles by different people. Development speed has increased greatly because of him. Hat's off to you, sir.
Now this brings us to our next topic about a possible beta and the future development of the mod. Many things still have to be worked on, such as the Covenant corvette featured in Halo: Reach, a UNSC starbase, and (of course) the technology trees. Now, the best part of any mod is the community and I am sure many of you have excellent ideas (aside from the occasional "U SHUD MAKE TEH FLOOD B ABLE TO CAPTURE SHIPS") so come sign up at the official forums of Halo: Sins of the Prophets and contribute your good ideas for the mod. If it's good enough, you may end up having your idea be a part of Sins of the Prophets. Most importantly though, there are also a few major bugs that, while may not be game breaking, are annoying as hell. These are being hammered at and having the kinks worked out.

Now, here is the part that most of you will be on the edge of your armchairs for: A possible beta. Indeed, you all have heard correct. The mod is at "that point" where it's not quite done but almost far enough along for a nice beta. But yeah, there will be a beta. And sometime in the near future. How near? Well, that can change at any time, depending on my own life and others.
You'll have your UNSC/Covenant beta. Eventually.

Also, as both a special mission for the Dawn of Victory Junior Friend Cadets and the Sins of the Prophets Grunts do yourself a favor and join the Dawn of Victory Hosted Battlefield 3 server oriented for the SoaSE community.
I'm sure that this was implied, but it is an Open Beta 'tis it not?
Yeah, once it comes out, it'll be open.
Excellent
And sorry for my obvious question, jus had to be sure
Activating TRD*!

...did it work?

The mod is alive and kicking, just the thread isn't very popular apparently. Check the moddb profile page for more up to date info.
I'm sorry, but is this mod still for Ent?
Yes.
Yeah, for some reason people don't give two craps about whats going on over here on these forums. Or maybe because I don't update too often over here. I'll call it a healthy mix of both.
You mean this mods still alive
Personally I think moddb's a better sharing device than the forums here. If this site allowed for a mod dedicated category it might be better. Think drop "Sins Clans/General" and add "Sins Mods/Sins of the Prophets" where CanadaMan777 is a moderator of the sub-category and can pin important stuff under Sins of the Prophets. But then do you really want to be updating two sites?
I personally get more action here than moddb. Plus the interaction here is more intelligent than what I've typically seen on moddb which is probably due to their odd comment system.
Very true. The best stuff we get from our fans has been at our personal forum over at danmangames, moddb is more about PR than anything else.
