First off, just want to say Hello to the local Elemental community. I am extremely pleased and exctatic to join all of you in the upcoming release! Also, I would like to thank Brad Wardell for the time and commitment to a "spiritual successor to Master of Magic". I am one of those people who used to love the original Simtex game. I still play it over DOSbox.
I understand(through the WWW) that you offered at least $1mil(US Dol) for the rights to that game and that they turned you down. What a tragedy that is!(since your the only game developer I know who has tried to make a sequel of MoM) Master of Magic is in my top 5 pc games of all time!(the playable version of course:) So too Stardock and Mr. Wardell I thank you again. I have also read Mr. Wardell's Gamer "Bill of Rights" and agree fully with the sentiment. I will buy my future PC Games mostly through Impulse to support your vision.(Obviously I have been playing PC games for some time and have spent a lot of time, energy and money on this hobby) If you remember the Pit on BBS's you know what I mean(or Telengard and text games). I play many genre's in pc gaming. I like rts's, rpg's, fps's, tbs, and various offshoots, etc, etc. Currently the only game I have of yours is Gal Civ 2(Gold Edition). I will remedy this when Elemental comes out. I apologize to all for not making into your Beta program(my fault). Again, thank you and Hi all!

You need not appologize for not being part of the beta. Its hell right now, and the devs still kid that this game will be the cause of your hard drive breaking, the leaking of your banking information to the net, securom, psychological truama, live scorpians... etc. Read the dev posts cause my memory seems to be a bit fuzzy on the horrors that the elemental beta causes (side effect?).
Now if you don't mind me, I have a few doctor appointments today. There have been rumours about people, who have played the betas, developing a tendency to twitch whenever someone says "Elemental", or "War of Magic". I want to make sure I don't develop similiar symptoms, or new ones.
There will be a 'second beta enrollment period' for folks who missed Beta 1 but place pre-orders before Beta 2 is released. You should be able to pre-order now and expect to find the Elemental beta available to you on Impulse in not too long...

I think that Stardock developing their own title instad of a sequel for MoM is (seeing what we are seeing) better. And with the moddability capabilities, MoM mods will be started as soon as modding is possible. That said, an updated MoM (as in addition to Elemental) would be sweet. Specially for it being Windows based and better screen resolution.

Welcome to the collective, young (or old?) one! I am the great Scoutdog, Lord Of The Internet (pay no attention to those few subversives who deny my power ). Hawawaa is exxagerating only slightly when he says the beta's pretty crude right now, but supposedly B2 is going to be better (dispite the same thing having been said about B1B, B1, and the alpha...). If you have any 3D modeling skills, MagicWillNZ and I would appreciate it if you could mozy over to the Dark Republic mod at some point in the future......... did I mention we have avatars for "sale"?
