Hello everyone!
Welcome to the WC 2010 Beta. We are excited to be getting near the release of the new WinCustomize, but we still have many things to be worked out, and your help in finding issues and other feedback will be appreciated. Remember, this is a beta and problems can be expected.
You can access the beta site at:
www.wincustomizetest.com
This forum will serve as the place to give your feedback whether it's a site issue, or general feedback about the site. To make this organized and efficient, there are a few guidelines to follow in this area.
Tag posts with the titles. Example: [Bug] Page Not Working
[Bug] Use this if you find a site bug. [Feature] Obviously, if you want to give feedback on a specific feature. [Request] If you are requesting something. [Question] If you have a general question not pertaining to other tags.
[Bug] Use this if you find a site bug.
[Feature] Obviously, if you want to give feedback on a specific feature.
[Request] If you are requesting something.
[Question] If you have a general question not pertaining to other tags.
If your post is something other than those examples, just tag the post appropriately so we can view them with some type of order.
The forums are not part of this beta, with the possible exception of a new theme. Feedback for the forums doesn't need to be posted here. If you run across a forum issue, please use the existing thread here.
Thanks for your help!

In IE for WB it open it and loads it right in to WB the old site WC you could at lest right click an save link as
but if it is in a zip then you would not have to do that it would give you the opption to save just WB out of a zip
that's why I do most of all my downloading here (WC) with FF cuase of 2 resons 1 well said alreadly 2 it will all ways open the last folder I was in
and I useally OPEN 10 to 20 tabs at a time EXAMPLE WB then click on the pic. then right click to save pic then do the WB
in IE .wba open can't save inless you right click and click on save link as ... and it wants to put the pic in your pictures or zips in some other folder don't remember right know but I put all WB skins and the pic that gos with it in a Folder for WB skins and so forth with all other Object desktop / OD / CFX / CXP/ and FF rembers the last folder i was in IE is just stupid LOL
Again.....I don't know what browser your using but I can click on anything...meaning the download button...on the old or new site and I'm given the option to either directly install it with the appropriate software or save it to a folder of my choosing. I've never had to to right click and "save as" on anything.
Just click on it and a window opens and YOU choose to open or to SAVE. When you choose SAVE you'll be given a choice where.
[Bug] Clicking on the blue BootSkins XP link in Featured Galleries takes you to the BootSkins XP Gallery. Clicking on Download Software takes you to BootSkin Vista. These two should not be confused with each other.
[Bug] Doc's karma didn't roll over to zero at 1000.
Good luck. You might as well try kicking Chuck Norris in the tenders as wish for Dock/Icons separation.
What's wrong with the Dock Icons filter? Works for me.
If you created docks you'd understand.
Chuck's on his way...
Chuck's stumped on this one.
IE = Intenet Explorer

EDIT:
Fixed it this is how I did it In Internet Explorer 8 with Win 7
click on TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS then PROGRAMS under internet Progtams Click on SET PROGRAMS new window opens then click on
Associate a file type or protocol with a program then look for .wba then click on Change program then click on the drop down arrow for other programs then look for INTERNET EXPLORER click on it then click OK NOW my .wba open with the save option Damn I'm good for what the world may never know lol
DisturbedComputer...I stand corrected. Just tried downloading in IE which I hardly use and you are correct. And I could find no settings to change the way IE handles downloads. I use Firefox and don't have that problem.
WebGizmos I fixed it read my post abover your last post but for Win 7 will look in XP
Ok great! Yeah...I looked all over in IE to find a way to change that download problem but couldn't find anything. One more reason for me to not use IE.
Update: How to change the downloads in IE. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177976
That looks like it only applies up to IE 5 Giz.
I'm using IE7 Bebi and it worked.
dose not work for Win 7 but thats ok cuase I alrealy fixed it and posted how to do it for win 7 SEE my post 111 at bottum
[Request] Could "Recent Forum Posts" on the home page be linked to https://forums.wincustomizetest.com/recent like the old site?
I love the new site! Much more responsive! Easier Navigation! And more Vibrant Appearance! Superb!!!!
Still having problems with this, I am sorry to say.
Just like to say I appreciate how quickly these problems are being sorted, I also am very impressed with the new site layout, definately easier to navigate than the old one.
Ok...how much did someonme pay you to say that? I could use the extra money!
[questions] I know that some of this may have been discussed but....
clicking on my moniker and clicking on "my site" comes up with the same page, and this only shows the most nine recent skins with no direct access to the others from there.
typing in gmc2 in the search in the combo box on brings up "gmc2" skins and not the others that were made under AKA "wimpy". (should I resubmit the others lol)
how do I change my personal information in the new settings.
where is "my skins"? I use this to monitor comments for the submission.
Just my opinion, WebGizmos, sure it is all different but it did not take long to find my way around, & I find it better than the present website, but there are a lot of sites out there that are very awkward to navigate. I also think that we have not seen the finished article yet, eg personal sites.
I know CY...just kidding!
