Why create this thread?
Simply stated, the ladder is generally not the best depiction of skill, imho. It GENERALLY tracks who plays the game the most and/or who acts like a jerk by cheating instead of who the most talented players are. That's not to say that everyone high up in the ladder falls into this category. So, if I were to put together my own ladder that indicated skill, I wonder how things would shake out. Obvious hurdles being that many highly skilled individuals don't play each other. So, this requires either the people that don't play together to play more together (my personal choice) or I have to rely from feedback from other players.
Your part if you want to participate
Who do you guys think are the best players in demigod today? I understand that its a team game, but individual players do tend to stand out (and I also know that one great player can't guarantee a win if he has weak teammates, etc). I'm happy to have everyone's feedback. I'm not looking for people to jump in and flame. Just call out who you think is great or who you'd like to see fight. Perhaps we'll get games going. You want to flame and talk crap, your post will probably end up deleted.
You can nominate anyone you want. To keep this from being a list of who likes who, several individuals that are generally considered excellent at the game will moderate the list. If those individuals generally agree, a player can be removed or promoted in the list.
I've decided on 4 categories of players and have provided descriptions of each. Please recommend players along with the category you feel they fit in.
Tier 1 Demigod Players:
Realistically, its my belief that there are 10-30 players in this game that are tier 1 DG players (the best). Those players shine as individuals, generally with a wide variety of characters and do not depend on a specific team or teammate to do well. They can play exceptionally in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. These are players that do not cheat or desync games. These are the people that you want on your team or you want to play against because you know you will get a good game. Any player in this list or any other should currently be an active player.
Tier 2 Demigod Players:
These are players that don't quite currently fit into highest level of players, but are good players all the same. Perhaps they require a specific team or can only do well in specific types of games (1v1, 2v2). The bottom line is that they aren't quite as polished or versatile as the highest level players.
Tier 3 Demigod Players:
A third group (or list) would be everyone else. No need to list individuals...
Demigod Players that Should Be Avoided:
These would be specific individuals that clearly (and I mean clearly) cheat. You don't get on this list unless I (pacov) am VERY convinced that you belong here.
I can piss further then all yall.
Man, I've explained that getting 2 level's of mulch 5 times, if you ain't able to comprehend my reasoning, it makes a lot of sense.
MULCH WOULD OF BEEN USELESS TILL 13, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT ORDER I GOT THE SKILLS IN. if you don't know why it is useless till 13 then I can't really help you further then that, yet you accuse me being the one lacking any common sense. I can't blame Ninki for not knowing, the guy can barely play any God that can't lane control and nothing else.

There you go Ninki, the replay you were 100% sure would prove me wrong and 100% pin all blame on Heros-Temp. That is the reason why you annoyed me so bad in the first place, you took a guy I like, played poorly and was like "We lost solely because of him". Feel free to justify your lack of purchasing no Hp items even though you had 5k at most occasions while standing at the item shop. I can't stand you putting 2nana beneath yourself (Another friend of mine) and claiming he is not versatile, you claiming that of all people.
lol @ mulch without shamblers.
lol @ who cares what talents you pick after lvl 10 if you do a max shield / ground spike build. I'll often just go entourage to get to tribute @ 15... SUP.
lol @ that
Wow mcshane I wish I saved all the games you lost against me, but wait. I am not that petty....
The bigger issue is, not only did you not get shamblers before mulch, Renz barely touched you that entire game. I've played with him long enough to know that's not what he would have done in a real game. In every single gank he went for Oak when clearly the easier choice would've been to aim for QoT, but thankfully he's a good friend.
And then you plauded yourself as a QoT that never dies. I gotta say that's pretty ridiculous.
Your argument for why you get mulch before shamblers is just god awful and the fact that you'd even try to defend your choice pretty much speaks for itself. Oh but you are right that it would've made no difference, but it makes no difference to you because you barely even use mulch properly.
I also love how you consider 2nana a friend, when he can barely communicate with anyone that doesn't speak Korean.
Nominating Zudoteteka for Tier 2
He had an understanding of how to split monks and monks / clerics, had a proper build / items, knew when to port and how / when to fake port, general map strategy, he talked often enough to listen to whatever advice I gave him / which cit upgrades to get, and the deciding factor for me was he knew how to use mass charm / mist very effectively.
He also has decent stats and doesn't play noob games.
Haha, this is how I now know you are trolling me, you slipped up. YOUR ARGUMENT IS GOD AWFUL BUT YOU ARE RIGHT. Hahahahaha. Good one, I lol'd.
Am I missing something?
I see no reason, at ALL to spend points on something for NO reason. Why the HELL would you deny yourself use of something?
I'm sorry, that's RETARDED.
Well, if I have a point in Shamblers but not Mulch then I just summon them at the crystal and use 'em til they die. Might as well use the free dps.
Well, seeing as its two points...you could have both.
I'm gonna have to take it nice and slowly for you specially Teseer. For Mulch to become feasible you need both levels, for the heal to become pretty good. Therefore for it to even be used, I need to be level 13, 2 level's of mulch/1 shambler. Now let us see, say I got 1 level of shamblers, and 1 level of mulch, what difference does it do (level 12)? In a game where I spend so much time spamming my attacking spells, I don't really have the time to individually take out 1 shambler and recieve 750 health or whatever it is, when I could be using better skills/better use of my time. So what that basically means is, I won't touch shamblers untill 13, so who the hell cares if I get Mulch, mulch, shamblers or shamblers, mulch, mulch? MAKES NO DIFFERENCE, now do you understand, or do I have to break it down even further, actually screw that, if you don't understand that, you won't ever understand.
lmfao, your an idiot. You're going to deny yourself a 750 heal to have two points taken up for no reason. If you don't understand that, then you'll never understand (I can say it too! See?!)
Take it slow all you like and go back to the boom-boom classes.
Edit: LOL! Poor you, you can't click a shambler.
Yeah I'm not even going to reply cause everyone else is doing all the talking for me. It's just a waste of words.
QoT is thorns, shield, spike wave till 10, concede at 11. thanks.
(p.s. I'm joking.)
(p.p.s. your bed is a car.)

Well it's under a different name.
There is that one then one more when you had Orcun and my team had some scrub Oak. But actually you had Ninki too so never mind I guess it was a pretty impressive win, good job!
Yeah, but its a fuckin sweet car.
Herp derp I spend the game healing myself for 750 instead of switching out into spikes. Herp derp for that is the smart thing to do, for 750 basically means you will live herp derp, everyone knows when fighting 3 v 3 healing yourself is priority one, who needs DPS? Herp derp.
Tesser you are like the only guy on this forum who has watched more replays then played games.
I have a replay fetish, sue me.
I'm going to reply a little less aggressively this time:
I understand different playstyles have different builds. This might be how you feel most comfortable.
That being said, even if you won the next 1,000 games in a row, it still doesn't make this the best way to go skill selection wise. Denying yourself an ability, regardless of what it is, is not the most effective way to skill.
In summation: It might be how your most comfortable, that doesn't make it any more efficient.
Edit: So the forums fucked up the last 8 times I tried to reply, ugh.
technically bugger's comment is valid lol.. and the only reason I'd think to side with everyone against koush. But.. in reality.. the extra dps before it does to a tower or the other person in lane. However, you still have to wait to summon it at the crystal (ya it might be an extra 3-4 seconds to change forms /summon and wait for the mana back!), which might not seem like a lot of time, but put it in comparison to what the shambler will actually do for you at that point (a couple attacks ftw), and it still doesn't really seem worth it.
you change forms as you walk to the crystal, you summon them right before you shop, you buy what you want, then you shield yourself, then you summon the second one, then you leave. It costs maybe 1-2 seconds of time at most. Even then, you can always leave them at the crystal so they don't run around and die in the AoE fest of level 10+ engagements and you don't have to madly search for them when you DO level up and get a few points in mulch.
Also, Mulch does damage~ moar DPS for the win. Plus, what do you do if your GS is on cool down? Everyone knows the skill cycle: Close, Shield yourself, Open, Ground Spikes, Spike Wave, Close, Shield yourself or someone else, mulch if necessary, Open, Ground Spikes.
Plus, I'm not really saying that Mulch I is going to be efficient or keep anyone alive level 12. But, it's still the much more efficient way of going about it.
port back out of form and it's a lot longer. But yes.. 2-3 seconds to summon / get mana back.
They also don't do dmg if you leave them @ the crystal so then it's still doesn't matter which skill you get @ 11
