Simply stated, the ladder is generally not the best depiction of skill, imho. It GENERALLY tracks who plays the game the most and/or who acts like a jerk by cheating instead of who the most talented players are. That's not to say that everyone high up in the ladder falls into this category. So, if I were to put together my own ladder that indicated skill, I wonder how things would shake out. Obvious hurdles being that many highly skilled individuals don't play each other. So, this requires either the people that don't play together to play more together (my personal choice) or I have to rely from feedback from other players.

Who do you guys think are the best players in demigod today? I understand that its a team game, but individual players do tend to stand out (and I also know that one great player can't guarantee a win if he has weak teammates, etc). I'm happy to have everyone's feedback. I'm not looking for people to jump in and flame. Just call out who you think is great or who you'd like to see fight. Perhaps we'll get games going. You want to flame and talk crap, your post will probably end up deleted.
You can nominate anyone you want. To keep this from being a list of who likes who, several individuals that are generally considered excellent at the game will moderate the list. If those individuals generally agree, a player can be removed or promoted in the list.
I've decided on 4 categories of players and have provided descriptions of each. Please recommend players along with the category you feel they fit in.
Tier 1 Demigod Players:
Realistically, its my belief that there are 10-30 players in this game that are tier 1 DG players (the best). Those players shine as individuals, generally with a wide variety of characters and do not depend on a specific team or teammate to do well. They can play exceptionally in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. These are players that do not cheat or desync games. These are the people that you want on your team or you want to play against because you know you will get a good game. Any player in this list or any other should currently be an active player.
Tier 2 Demigod Players:
These are players that don't quite currently fit into highest level of players, but are good players all the same. Perhaps they require a specific team or can only do well in specific types of games (1v1, 2v2). The bottom line is that they aren't quite as polished or versatile as the highest level players.
Tier 3 Demigod Players:
A third group (or list) would be everyone else. No need to list individuals...
Demigod Players that Should Be Avoided:
These would be specific individuals that clearly (and I mean clearly) cheat. You don't get on this list unless I (pacov) am VERY convinced that you belong here.

Well.... there is nothing much to say, this is just a lie. I never ever desynch a game. I dont know how this works and i dont want to know it. Cheating is for loosers.

Anyone here looked at his list of games and seen all the N/As and incompletes?
Did you see that EVERY NA or incomplete game end after 2 minutes. So your desynch blup blup make no sense. Also, did you see that nearly 50% of NA games are ai games??? Everytime the enemy gots ai in his team, I told everyone to concede because ai-games are boring like hell. Maybe you never played pantheon so you dont know this thing....
If a incomplete game takes more then 20 minutes some bad looser desynch the game because I was winning. But most of the time i dont start a hate campain in forum because cheaters dont deserve response.

I remember this game, after a few secounds (so i dont know what happens after 3 minutes, maybe the noobs play with ai and you dont told them to concede because you want the win. thats really stats whore like) my game crashed and i saw my wonderful desktop with this wonderful "unhandle exblupblup" whatever window. This happens from time to time, if you dont want this, dont play demigod!!!

Yeah, this make sense. I "play" a game to see a nice winning score in a buggy ladderrank. I have nothing more in my life then the ladder rank in Demigod, a buggy game thats played by a few guys worldwide.
How could somebody believe someone played a game to see a number?!?!?! This is for fun, this is a videogame, I dont care about numbers that written in a buggy list. I played this game because the gameplay is fun, I dont play for numbers. Without a ladder i would do nothing diffrent.

I didn't watch that replay but just from the fact you use BotS I can derive that you're probably better than some people who are on the list right now. As mentioned previously though, I do not agree with the list at all.
Auroson is a very good player. Although he lacks some teamplay he was able to absolutly dominate his side with Bots. Although yes Havoc isn't that good and winning against a erebus with BotS UB means he didn't take mist which is basically a crime.

This thread is as childish and ridiculous as videogames players can get. All this "lists" stuff is so embarrasing i can't even think why it hasn't been locked yet.

Edit - anyway, perhaps another way to look at this. Hopefully this will get more of us playing together. I'm out actively seeking games now as a PUG and have been hosting nighly pug games in the hopes of getting more people to play together. Especially all of the top level folks. People hated premades, I'm trying to get more high level pugs going. If things go well, we end up with a list of who's great, who's up and coming, and who to avoid. Do we need it? ah... probably not. I understand the sheer annoyance with someone calling an individual out and saying, you aren't good enough for tier 1, etc. And if I ended up in tier 2, it would simply push me to become a better player or wonder why someone thought I belonged there.
edit2 - ...and if my peers think i belong there, then either they are crazy or my game could use some improvement. Anyway, I love demigod and love playing competitively. There is no effective measure of talent, IMO, other than my peers. If you disagree, I could host infinite 1v1 games and win or choose to host disconnect if I lose... eventually I'll rise to ladder rank number 1. Not because I'm great, but because I'd be abusing the system. And seeing as I despise people who cheat, sounds like feedback from my peers is where its at.

Prizmsurf should be on the To Be Avoided list.
Synnworld should be on all lists.

Hemp_boy ---> host desync
Prussian Havoc ---> exploiter
Py4eek ----> exploiter
I've never know prussian to exploit (with the exception of his fighting AI for EXP back when that was possible). Is that what you are referring to?
though i dont think that this should be a list about the "best" players i like the idea of a list of good players you can rely on not playing badly.
so just a general list of players that dont suck and are open for "suggestions" and play in a _team_ not just with some random mates.

ok. I loaded lifekatana's list from a few pages back. All are loaded at the tier 2 level. Elevate who... add who... etc.
I'm really serious about me being very hesitant to put anyone in the players to avoid column. I know we've discussed some of these people before, but back up why you want whoever added. Some sort of proof is required. Even if its links to other posts, etc.
