Why create this thread?
Simply stated, the ladder is generally not the best depiction of skill, imho. It GENERALLY tracks who plays the game the most and/or who acts like a jerk by cheating instead of who the most talented players are. That's not to say that everyone high up in the ladder falls into this category. So, if I were to put together my own ladder that indicated skill, I wonder how things would shake out. Obvious hurdles being that many highly skilled individuals don't play each other. So, this requires either the people that don't play together to play more together (my personal choice) or I have to rely from feedback from other players.
Your part if you want to participate
Who do you guys think are the best players in demigod today? I understand that its a team game, but individual players do tend to stand out (and I also know that one great player can't guarantee a win if he has weak teammates, etc). I'm happy to have everyone's feedback. I'm not looking for people to jump in and flame. Just call out who you think is great or who you'd like to see fight. Perhaps we'll get games going. You want to flame and talk crap, your post will probably end up deleted.
You can nominate anyone you want. To keep this from being a list of who likes who, several individuals that are generally considered excellent at the game will moderate the list. If those individuals generally agree, a player can be removed or promoted in the list.
I've decided on 4 categories of players and have provided descriptions of each. Please recommend players along with the category you feel they fit in.
Tier 1 Demigod Players:
Realistically, its my belief that there are 10-30 players in this game that are tier 1 DG players (the best). Those players shine as individuals, generally with a wide variety of characters and do not depend on a specific team or teammate to do well. They can play exceptionally in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5. These are players that do not cheat or desync games. These are the people that you want on your team or you want to play against because you know you will get a good game. Any player in this list or any other should currently be an active player.
Tier 2 Demigod Players:
These are players that don't quite currently fit into highest level of players, but are good players all the same. Perhaps they require a specific team or can only do well in specific types of games (1v1, 2v2). The bottom line is that they aren't quite as polished or versatile as the highest level players.
Tier 3 Demigod Players:
A third group (or list) would be everyone else. No need to list individuals...
Demigod Players that Should Be Avoided:
These would be specific individuals that clearly (and I mean clearly) cheat. You don't get on this list unless I (pacov) am VERY convinced that you belong here.
Yeppp... they would go 4 generals, all minion-builds on Levi summon minions, hit F4 occasionally.
that's right... ppl who premade ARE BAD. Ppl with friends ARE STUPID. Video game friends? really? Get a life, am I right? I don't have near enough time to add someone to the built in friends list and play with them when we're both on.

there are a LOT of ppl who's name can fit into those blanks.. being able to beat bad ppl doesn't qualify someone as omfgwtfbbq best player evar. (and there were clearly bad ppl in your example.. all good players = no single person carries the team, dont often get first blood in first 3 min, and never 7 kills to 0 at 10 min)
Damn look what this turned into while i was gone for the holidays . Only thing i want to comment on is never add pyeek, he is horrible only way he gets so much ladder exp is by cheating and playing stacked 1v1's.
Id like to add my sedna, oak and reg , i don't get to play them much but just as good with them as with UB. And Heros-Temp- should def be green.
None of us have played since early july. I haven't seen Shadow/Rogdan in like 4 months and Dustbin's been MIA like a month, so no possibility of anything even if we wanted to do so.

Yeah I used to get free kills off the break all the time with awful Mard's Hammer angel dps reg.
Also srsly how hard is UB to play? You stack HP, Ooze Spit and Grasp. The hardest decision is knowing when to pop your sigil.
One thing I do give Orcun credit for is he does play against 'known' good players pretty consistently. So at least he's not content with spanking horrible players all day.

His account is a joke. When he is up against a good team he invalid gamestates. That's the only reason he has the record he has.
Stardock should delete his account. His position as no.1 looks retarded .

We should still track people that have been removed, imo, somewhere.
If they really are good, someone is bound to resuggest them. For now however you should make a list of the players that actually are available to play.
Otherwise write them down somewhere else.

He never invalidated against me when I beat him, I've also played him to the end whe he had a really bad partner and he didn't invalidate or quit. His UB build is solid. He is very hard to kill.
I find that joining a 3v3/4v4 game with one friend, and then taking the most awful player to join the room as our third is the most reliable way to get entertaining games. Sometimes you get smashed because your beast feeds 14 kills in approximately a quarter of a second, but for the most part it's fun times.
its more fun when your reg is the one that feeds imo cause then you can scream at him for not sniping too

Mac, early game our DA was feeding and their UB was doing okay. Then our DA and their UB screwed around most of the game while Irahi/icenine fairly legitametly outplayed us, even if they did have a slight gold/level advantage over us between TB's turbo-leveling and DA dying 4 times in the first 10 minutes.
Then we ganked the UB repeatly over and over and over and over >> It was a cheap way to win but I think it got to the point where he was dying once every 90 seconds or something absurd like that.
sigh, recently was beating hemp_boy in a match and he did the host exploit. I am not a fan of cheaters if you do this I think it should be mentioned next to your name and or your name should be removed from the list because we are looking for classy guys right?
I played a game with Hemp_boy recently, we lost and he didn't do any exploit then. Maybe he didn't know? Still you could add a note or something til you know for sure perhaps.

Ah my dear friend Amazing hero. I really like him, and he's a god with shields and is always the silent workhorse buying all the cit upgrades supporting capping flags but... his build is just not competetive, and it hurts him a lot. I say this with heartache you should cut him out.

To me this is a pretty bad player. He always used to scare away people with his big fat 1000+ record and high win rate but ingame he was ... mediocre.
