Its us again! Here to bring you yet another exciting community topic!!!!
This topic is dedicated to any stories, lore, epic poems, novels, Role Playing...anything your heart desires to share!!!
We are always up for a good read and are excited to see what you all create from DS.
We will be featuring hopefully some neat post in this orginal post every so often. Maybe be something we liked or we though it need attention! So, aim your Ogrov at that writers block and get your fingers typing!
There aren't any rules, but we do have some guidelines to follow so that we all can participate and enjoy ourselves.-There is really no limit on what you post just as long as it is Distant Stars related.-Most members are participating in a single large story with the occasional side story or two. While this thread is certainly not limited to just that story, for the benefit of all readers and participants, please begin your post with how we're supposed to handle it. (Personal Story) (DS RP) (Trader Space) Examples of this can be found all throughout the thread or by looking at this post. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/21/#2596003 This will help us all out by letting us know if you're trying to set yourself up to join the main lore, if you plan on just telling your own story, or if you're just writing lullabies for children to sing before they go to bed.-While we don't expect you to 'Play the game' in your stories, we do ask that you keep any liberties that you take be grounded within the game. For example: Talking about your space marines invading another ship is not something the game covers, so feel free to be inventive on how it would happen. However, carrying point singularity rifles that open up little black holes is beyond the scope of the game and will not be allowed. Soldiers with phasic armor that prevents them from being wounded let alone even being hit, while being relevant to the technology in the game would also not be allowed. The point is to be fair to the other people. We encourage you to ask yourselves, would this work in the game, and how would I feel if someone used this on me? If You feel strongly that it would work and you'd be okay with it being used against you, then by all means, use it. Fantasy posting, dream sequences, and April Fool's postings are of course, immune from this guideline.-We highly encourage you to message other members for help or advice. There is a TeamSpeak channel that is frequently used by the regulars to talk issues out or just shoot the breeze behind the scenes. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of these resources. Also, 'regulars' may send you messages with suggestions, concerns, or advice. It's nothing personal, so please do not be offended, they're just trying to help keep the lore consistent within these guidelines. If there's any doubt at all about anything, just message one of the people who you see posting a lot. If they don't know, they'll pass your message along to someone who does or tell you who you need to talk to.-It is also highly recommended that you message other RPers before posting anything involving their stuff. If you don't, you're likely going to find all of DS rising up against you.-In an effort to reduce clutter, we're asking that Out Of Character (OOC) commenting be either sent to the individual for whom it is intended by using the private message feature, or take it to another thread. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/366762 is a thread frequented by many of the lore writers and random comment posting about anything under the sun is highly encouraged there as well in an attempt to get the thread locked. Enjoy.

Some resources that we have spent hours, days, and weeks working on that will help out all participants in this thread. We ask that you look through these to help you better understand the region.-About Distant Stars- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/11/#2532381This post will give you a lot of basic information on what the region of space is like, how to get there, and who is there waiting for you.-Distant Stars Maps- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/23/#2604760This post provides you with a quick look at the region and provides you with a download link where you can get yourself a copy of the posted maps in their unreduced forms. They're very helpful when trying to figure out where to go and who you're likely going to run into when you get there. Maps of individual systems are posted throughout the thread. They're generally posted by the first person to explore the system. If you don't know if a system has been explored or not or want to see a map of a system that has been explored, ask around via PM or TeamSpeak. Someone will point you to the place.-Character Biographies- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/11/#2532380This post is a general collection of the main RP characters whom you will likely have contact with. We ask that all people posting in the main lore post their main character(s) bio as soon as possible so that the rest of us have a little background on who your character is, how they like to fight, where do they come from, and why they're there. Read the existing bios for examples on what we're looking for.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry I haven't been able to continue my posts here. As alpha said, my RL has begun to eat away more of my time due to people being fired and who ever remains to pick up the slack. Hopefully I will get something up by Sunday or Tuesday. If by some chance I am yet unable to do my part, Anyone who is waiting on me should go ahead without me. I'm willing to transfer temp control of my character if anyone wants to continue to write my guy into their story.
You don’t seem convinced, my friend, Thenos said. Setsuna sat opposite him. He had just told the tale of the Collective’s separation from the Unity.
It’s, Setsuna paused, a lot to take in. This High Psintegrat claims that is was for the good of the Unity?
Yes. Hard to believe, really. I would have nothing against going back to them, but if that is the reward that we get from the Empress for all our work… Much more likely that the High Psintegrat acted of her own accord.
Probably, Setsuna admitted.
By the way, have you ever been to the Homeworld? Thenos asked.
No, never. Haven’t met any who have. I’ve seen the paintings and psychic works of art from those who have though.
Hmm… It’s hard to stay steadfast in our beliefs when so few have seen our leader, mused Thenos.
Yes, but safety. I mean, imagine all of the enemies she must have made! They would give anything to kill her.
I suppose. Anyway, I- Thenos paused, then continued, message from the bridge. A Vasari diplomatic vessel has jumped to the star. Says it wants an audience with me. If I may be so bold, may I ask you whether you would like to go to the bridge with me, or to your temporary quarters onboard the ship?
I would appreciate a trip to the bridge. You can show me how you do things in Distant Stars.
As the Revenge made the jump from Rebirth, Thenos and Setsuna arrived at the bridge. The two soldiers who had escorted Setsuna to the ship were still shadowing him. Thenos evidently didn’t fully trust him yet. Upon reaching the star, a communication channel was opened with the Vasari vessel. An alien face appeared on the viewing screen.
“Lord J’rah, I presume,” Thenos said.
“You have the right Vasari,” the alien replied, “I understand that you are more… open minded than many of the other Advent in the sector. Is there a place where we may discuss some sort of… agreement?”
Thenos smiled, “You are more than welcome to join me onboard the Revenge. If you arrive by shuttle, I am sure that our marines will be able to bring you to me.”
“I find this agreement… satisfactory. Very well, I shall come to your ship.”
As the image faded from the screen, Thenos turned to Setsuna, We are about to have another faction join our little meeting. I’m going to go to the hangar and make sure I’m with his welcoming party. What you do is up to you. Just remember, you are being watched. You’ll only get one warning.
Message received, Setsuna said. Thenos must think himself secure to enforce such restrictions on a Hierarch Chosen. Setsuna, nevertheless, appreciated that Thenos was in the worrying position that a large Unity force was parked at his home planet. Ultimately, Setsuna was onboard the Revenge to ensure that peace endured above Rebirth, regardless of what other orders may reach Setsuna’s fleet. Depending on how he went from here, Setsuna would make himself either an intelligent but wary ally, or a dangerous rival. Meanwhile, there was the mysterious case of the Vasari that was seeking a diplomatic meeting.
DS / Personal-----------------------------------------------------------------Antynene (Star) Sun Tzu.----------------------------------------------------------------- “Are all ship's here?” Asks Oranos. “Yes Sir.” Said Tiebiris. “Good then tell all ships to forum up and head for Antynene 1” Said Oranos. “Yes Sir.” Said Tiebiris. When the Alliance ships arrive at Antynene 1 the reason Roesh did not take this system show's its self. Pirate's they demand tribute from any inhabited worlds in system. They destroy any ships the people launch and rule over them with a iron fist. The Pirate Halcyon Carrier and its support 10 Corsair's turn to the Alliance ships and broadcast a message. “We are the Feared Antynene Pirate's leave our space or die.” Was the message. “Captain broadcast to the planet all channel's. We are the Alliance of Gardenia. We have come to free you from the pirate's and find new homes. Do you wish for us to destroy the pirate's or to leave? Please respond.” Said Oranos. On the Planet there is frantic commotion due to the broadcast. “What do we do?” Said the Mayor of the only City on the Huge Desert World. “I say we tell them to kill the bloody pirate's.” Said The police chief. “But if we do they will take over” Said the Mayor. “They cant be any worse then the Pirate's at least they're giving us a choice.” Said the Chief. “Your right ok.” Said the Mayor. In space the pirates move towards the Alliance ships. “ Alliance of Gardenia this is planet SafeHold. We welcome you and ask that you remove the pirate's and come down to talk.” Said the Mayor. “This is Alliance of Gardenia Fleet Admiral Oranos. My self and Fleet Admiral Kalder will go down with some of our staff and a small guard after the battle please be prepared.” Said Oranos. It was then the pirate's broadcast a new message. “ Talk about us like where not even here will you we'll kill you and when we get thou with you we will take our time with the planet.” They said even tho its clear the 11 pirate ships are turning to run from the Alliance fleet. “All talk and no game. Don't let them get away.” Said Oranos. “Yes Sir.” said Tiebiris. The Warlord moved to cut off the pirate's as the Wyvern moved up and deployed missile platform's. The pirate Corsair's open fire on the Warlord as the alliance's 30 LRM's moved up and opened fire on the Halcyon Carrier as it launched its strike craft. The Warlord took great damage from the pirate gun's. “My god what the hell, we're getting hammered? Move the Reaper and Doomsday to support the Warlord. Move the Kodiak's to help to. Send the GAM( Gardenia Alliance Military ) Ship's to the planet protect it. Have the rest of the fleet open fire on the Halcyon, And launch all our strike craft.” Said Oranos. “Understood Sir.” Said Tiebiris. The Alliance ships moved as ordered. The Corsair's started to die under the fire of 10 Kodiak's and 3 capital ships. The Doomsday used a missile barrage to wipe out the Corsair's. The Halcyon was taking damage to as the RDA ships all fired on it. The Wyvern lost shield's and moved away towards the Hoshiko's. ½ the RDA frigate's lost shield's and took damage, but finally the Halcyon started to tumble before exploding. “Damn that was way harder then I was expecting. These pirate's may be a bigger problem then I was hoping.” Said Oranos. “Ok people we won but we need repair's. Tell all ships to hold in orbit of the planet. Me and Kalder will go down with some staff and guard's tell Shara she's in charge till I get back.” Said Oranos. “Yes sir. Will you be taking Alpha Company?” Asked Tiebiris. “Yes I will inform them please.” Said Oranos as he walked to the door. In Alpha Company's quarters on the Sun Tzu. The call to action was sounded. “OK OK! EVERY BODY ON YOUR FEET NOW!” Yelled Captain Heap. “Are we being boarded?” Asked Gunnery Sergeant Eva Hopefully. “No we are not being boarded.” Said Captain Heap. “Awwwwwww.” Groaned all of Alpha Company. “Yes Yes we all know what that means.” Said Captain Heap as he cut them off. “Please no. Not again last time we had to Guard the Commander I had to spend 30 hours in the Iron Maiden afterwords.” Said Second lieutenant Cove. “Yes we all remember. Now today we are going to a planet that we just saved they want to talk to us. So it should be peaceful.” Said Heap as some one snorted. “ Fleet admiral Kalder and his staff and guard's are going too so make sure your on your best behavior or I'm going to have you scrubbing the hull in a EVA suit for the next month. Got it?” Said Captain Heap. “Yes sir.” Said every one as they went to grab there gear. Later in the Hanger. “Are we all ready?” Asked Oranos. “Yes sir. We are.” Said Captain Heap. “Good then lest board the shuttle and head down.” Said Oranos as he walked up the ramp in to the shuttle. Once on the planet Oranos and Alpha Company left the shuttle and met with Kalder and his guard's it was then the mayor showed up on foot with the police chief. “Hello you must be Fleet Admiral Oranos and you-”Said the mayor just Before he saw Kalder and Gasped in shock. “I'm ssorry if my being a Vasari has surprised you.” said Kalder in his best English. “Fleet Admiral Kalder stopped the pirate's from using weapon's on your planet.” Said Oranos. “I I'm sorry some of my people said they thought they saw Vasari ships in orbit, but I didn't think. I apologize if I was rude.” Said the Mayor. “It's alright it is understandable.” Said Kalder. “Well let me thank you for stopping the pirate's. My Name is Varlen I'm Mayor of this city and this is Natasha the Chief of police.” Said the Mayor. “Its nice to met you both.” Said Oranos. “let's go back to my office to talk.” Said the Mayor, as he and the Chief showed the way. Once at the Mayor's office they all sat down with most Alpha company and Kalder's guard standing guard out side and only 3 in the room with 3 of Kalder's guards. “So may I ask what brings you to our world?” Asked the Chief . “As I said on the comm we are here to find a new home for our people.” Said Oranos. “What happened to your old home if I mite ask?” Said the Mayor. “Humans that disagreed with our right to live came and tried to kill us all.” Said Kalder. “I'm sorry that happened, but what do you plan to do here?” Asked the Mayor. “Our hope is to have your world join the Alliance of Gardenia.” Said Oranos. “Join your Alliance?” Asked the Mayor. “Yes unlike the pirate's we do not force people to do as we want. We want you to join the alliance, if you do you will get the same right's as any one in the alliance.” Said Oranos. “What right's are those?” Asked the Chief. “All alliance citizens have the right to fair elected government, The right to Protection by the alliance Armed Force's, and the right to live how or where they want long as they do not brake the law's of the alliance.” Said Oranos. “That sounds very nice but what dose it really mean for our people if we did join?” Asked the Mayor. “Your people would become alliance citizen's we would set up a city counsel, a planetary counsel and a high counsel. For running the alliance and the system. All worlds in this system would get a invite to join the alliance.” Said Oranos. “And if a world did not wish to join?” Said the chief. “Eassy we leave them alone we wont interfere with people'ss lives if they don't want to join we just leave them be.” Said Kalder. “Yes to be killed by pirate's if your really being honest about everything you said. There is not a world that wont join in this system.” Said the Mayor. “I was hoping you'd say that. Welcome to the Alliance of Gardenia.” Said Oranos as he walked over and shock the Mayors hand. “In the interim you two will be the city and planetary counsel. Till there can be full election's. We will build a comm station out side town to broadcast our message.” Said Oranos. “All right that is acceptable right Chief?” Said The Mayor. “Yes it is. Can we have all the information on this counsel system you use and any thing else relevant?” Asked the Chief. “Yes yes of course. I'll have everything you need sent over.” Said Oranos as he and Kalder left with there guards. 4 Hour's Later at the new Comm station. “Its done time to send the message.” Said Oranos to the Mayor now Head Consul of Planet SafeHold. “All right.” Said Head Consul Varlen. “Hello to all of my fellow people of the Antynene Star System. I'm not sure if you remember me but I was the Mayor of Planet SafeHold before the pirate's came. My people have just been freed from the pirate's. Thanks to Fleet Admiral Oranos and Fleet Admiral Kalder of the Alliance Of Gardenia. They have offered entrants in to the Alliance to every world in the system. We of the Planet SafeHold have accepted and I ask all of you to as well. They are a fair and honest people, and they will free us from the pirate's. So I ask of you join us stand with us agenst the pirate's.” Said Varlen in to the comm. “Ok its done they know your here and will decide to join or not.” Said Varlen. “Thank you Varlen. Now we must go to the other worlds in system and kick some pirate ass.” Said Oranos as he and his guard's left for the shuttle. Later in orbit on the Sun Tzu. “Captain set a scout ship on guard here and move us to the Terran World.” Said Oranos. “Yes sir.” said Tiebiris. Once at the Terran world they saw 2 Pirate Battleship's and 30 Corsair's. “Looks like they where waiting for us. Lest make it worth the wait. All ships open fire.” Said Oranos as every alliance ship opened up on one of the Battleship's. The pirate's moved to attack the Warlord (Kol) already damaged from the last fight. The Warlord used its adaptive force field and moved from the front. The alliance cruisers moved in on the corsair's and opened fire on them. The Alliance ships used there strike craft agenst the Corsair's to great affect. One of the pirate battleship's exploded in a ball of green fire. The alliance ships moved in after destroying one of the battleship's. The Protector (Dunov) was heavily damaged and had to move back. The alliance cruisers destroyed the last pirate corsair and moved in on the Battleship. The pirate battleship was no mach for the alliance fleet by its self and started to run. “Let them go, maybe they get the message now.” Said Oranos as the Alliance ships moved in to orbit of the Terran world and opened a comm channel. “Hello this is Fleet Admiral Oranos Of the Alliance of Gardenia. We have defeated the pirates here if you reserved our message then you know who we are and why we are here please respond.” Said Oranos. “This is planet Rune. We herd your message and have talked about it with the other two inhabited worlds. We have not had contact with SafeHold since the pirate's came. It was good to hear from Varlen again. We and the other two worlds Moon Lowell and Planet Machina have agreed to join your Alliance. The fleet you just defeated was most of the pirates ships they wont be back for a wile.” Said the person on the comm. “Can we talk in privet with the leader's of all the inhabited worlds? I can host the meting on my ship and have my ship move to any world you wish.” Said Oranos. “Yes that sounds good I will call the others to ask them you will have your answer soon.” Said the man on comm.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12 hours later in orbit of Moon Lowell (City moon) On the Sun Tzu .--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Alright I need to explain some things. My people are more then just the ships you see, in hiding are almost 1000 ships full of people. We will use the other worlds for a good number of then, but your worlds will need to take in some we will build new city's on every world, and set up counsel's as needed the high counsel will be on a station in orbit of Rune. Is there any objections or questions?” Said Oranos. “Yes I do. How the hell are you going to fit that many people any where?” asked Varlen. “Good question. They are frozen in cryo tubes. When there's city's ready for them we wake them up. We have droids to build city's fast maybe 3 week's to develop the places we can colonize enough to house all our people. We only had 4worlds to live on before. Now there are 13 places to live and colonize. Some will take tech we don't have yet to live on, but we can build it and research it. Vallin the head of RDA R&D is very smart with stuff like that.” said Oranos. “Very good then you plan to colonize everything and spread your people out.” Said Cathlen the new Head consul for Lowell. “Our people Consul, our people. As members of the alliance all of you and all of the people coming are our people.” Said Oranos. “Yes yes your right I'm sorry.” Said Cathlen. “It's no problem. The last issue is SafeHold, Machina and The Gas Giant.” Said Oranos. “What about them?” Asked Varlen. “Well as part of the alliance you get protection from alliance armed force's ship's, but to do that we need base's and fleets and school's. The RDA want's to use SafeHold as our new Head Quarters. The GAM wants the Gas Giant, and we both want to build ship yard's at Machina. So is this ok both Machina and SafeHold would get a large income from GMA and RDA, and the Gas Giant and SafeHold are the only phase lane's from the star. So its the best place to guard with the star.” Said Oranos. “Yes that will be fine with me what about you Carl?” Said Varlen. “Yes its good we could use the income and work.” said Carl new Head Consul of Machina. “ Good and as Rule'ss state Both RDA and GMA will build Star Base'ss at every gravity well, and we are claiming SafeHold's second moon for a weapons testing ground and for ground force's training.” Said Kalder. “That is fine no one lives there so you can have it.” Said Varlen. “Great well Kalder will stay here to guard the star and both lanes from it I will go get our ships and talk to Roesh to make him the offer we all talked about.” Said Oranos. “That's good, one question. What happened to all the Counsel's you had before?” Asked Varlen. “They gave up there jobs because there city's and worlds are no longer in the Alliance we had to run from them to live once the new city's are up there will be new election's. Seeing as they have experience they will probity get reelected but till then We are the government of the Alliance.” Said Kalder. “All right thank you” Said Varlen as every one got up to leave. “Kalder can you start construction on all the Worlds and moons and the Dead asteroid as we talked about.” Said Oranos. “Ssure.” Said Kalder as he walked out. After the meeting the Sun Tzu left Orbit and started its jumps to the star. “Call Shara and Vallin I want them at the meting with Roesh.” Said Oranos. “Yes sir. I'll have Shara and Vallin met us at the Star and come aboard before we jump.” Said Tiebiris. After taking on Board Shara and Vallin the Sun Tzu jumped to the Finley System.

The knife edge of a psychic wave rolling over her as she falls. <Fast Forward> Water falls in slow drops from the ragged edges of broken stone. Falling… Falling… Two stories below, to land amidst rubble and broken wooden frames, silence… silence… <Fast Forward> She stood at the window and wanted to cry, beyond the edge of the window sill, cold against her fingers, night fell and dark stars winked in shadowed hues. “Glina…” She whispered, the words recalling the familiar face made her want to cry again. She looked at her fingers, thin against the dark wood and wondered what monster she had become. Tears fell against her cheeks and she saw a flash of light at the corner of her eye and she turned, but the room was no longer there… It had fallen away. Only dust and dunes and a ruined blackened sky spread out beyond her vision, a searing heat that came up in waves off the sand and floated in the still air. The torn sky, filled with whispers of steam and radiation and sand painted the huge sky that stretched above like a painted mural against a thousand foot wall. She stepped out onto the sand, and her footsteps left small smudges in the heavy side, as she bent into the dune that rose like a small mountain above her, plodding in slow steps as the heat fell in waves as she moved up the side. She began to tire, to pant in the heat and her gray robe began to cling to her legs, to her arms. Sweat moved in a line down the middle of her back. Plodding… Plodding… Until she reached the crest and stood with sweat peppering her cheeks, her forehead, and her neck. Her gray robe flapped wetly in the hot air. Beyond the crest lay more sand, and more sand. On the horizon, too far to judge the distance a ruin of a city lay on the ruined surface of a ruined world, crumbling towers and half standing walls. Along the ridge of another dune in the distance, closer to the city a figure ran, long spear held in hand and vanished down the far side. ‘Ahhhh… we have visitors…’ came a thought into her mind then, and a smile. But how could? Too much, too much… Teir thought, moving over the side and down the far embankment of the dune toward the ruins in the distance. The heat came up off the sand, and burned. Burned. But it was right that it did, she thought, in remembrance of G’lina and the novices killed in the Convent. It was a penance. For her not understanding. She had simply reacted. In any world, in most instances, it would be understandable. But not when it meant striking out, even if she didn’t know. It was her penance for losing them. She went over the far side of the dune and down through the heavy sand across the plain, the ruin in the distance. How far? It didn’t matter how far. She would walk it. How long? It didn’t matter how long. She would walk it. And find the voice that spoke in her head and find answers to her questions. And find more questions. In her mind the black sky and the white sand reminded her of tiles on the floor of the Convent. Always… Choices… <Fast Forward> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXu6ZYy2WLg&feature=related In the room in the ruined city, the furniture lay tumbled and broken, the walls cracked and shattered. The Voice spoke And Teir screamed! ‘No!’ She fell to her knees and began to sob. Tears fell from her eyes. ‘Do I have to…?’ But the Voice in her head did not answer. The face of the woman in the painting that spoke to her simply pointed a finger against a road of stone that led out from the ruins into the deep sand and the hills beyond, to a sky half painted black… And the sands half painted white… <Fast Forward> The cleft was dark and deep, in fell into the side of the Stone cliff face that rose up out of the sand and stretched above her head into the black sky. The tunnel led down, Into darkness, Down… Into… Darkness… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds6kXSo5pU4&feature=related Into a cavern, Filled with light, And the sound of the Voice again. ‘Welcome Teir… Welcome, Home.’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYkXrPzr814&feature=related <Fast Forward> The Light Filled Her, Joined Her And The World Fell Away In A Brilliance Of Light Worlds spun, in the heavens, like wheels of wonder… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP4kET-Ul8o&feature=related And she could feel them all. Each world, Each mind, Each life, And she spoke, and the wheels turned, and the heavens lit, and the thunder fell out of a black sky. And lightening flashed in her eyes. She/They spoke, And her words fell on the worlds, Spun on the wheels, And a blinding light formed around her, as Tua’Eth said. ‘We are one now.’ <Fast Forward> She stood on the bridges of those ships, On all of them, Of those that knew her, And those that only knew of her. And to those Advent, in the ships that rose into orbit, she turned in a soft haze of light, And smiled, “Come with me… and I will show you vengeance” She said to them, and turned and looked out at the stars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKBuOusKfbY&feature=related * * * She stood on the bridges of those ships, On all of them, And the Vasari regarded her with snarls, She was light, and in her eyes there was fire, And she turned to them, and held out her hand, palm open, And said, “It is over.” And then she closed her hand, And the walls of the ships began To bend Inward Until the screens shattered, And the walls became Rents That opened into space, And she stood, in a blaze of light, And watched them, As their eyes widened, As their snarls turned to screams, And their ships exploded Into light, And darkness, And the ships were no more. Debris floated on the grav breeze, And red radiation from shattered cores spilled out Into open space, glowing faintly, and shifted like Seaweed in the tide. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtWn1aKGWkI <Fast Forward> She stood on the steps and the world stood before her, And she stepped down, Each step falling lower, One was black, And one was white. And in her mind she tried to decide what it was that she must do. To travel one path, or the other, but as she looked at the faces before her she remembered G’lina, and the other novices that had died when she had rent the side of the Convent and the walls had collapsed into the dining room below. She remembered Gelle, and the Elder Sister and Herriette and Sere and the Mother Superior. She stepped to the ground at the base of the stairs and looked out and remembered. And smiled. And wondered to herself, if there had ever been anyone in the history of the world that had ever gone to the hangman and smiled as they stepped across the shadow of the gallows that stood in the sunlight, silent and waiting. And she wondered if she had the strength to. But it would free them. And that is what mattered. <Fast Forward> The sun grows brighter, Brighter, Searing tendrils reaching out into deep space on spirals of liquid flame, “I promise…” Teir says to them, “I promise we will always be together…” <Reverse> Teir screamed !

Gelle screamed and fell to her knees.
The knife edge of a psychic wave rolling over her as she falls.
Water falls in slow drops from the ragged edges of broken stone.
Falling…
Two stories below, to land amidst rubble and broken wooden frames,
silence…
She stood at the window and wanted to cry, beyond the edge of the window sill, cold against her fingers, night fell and dark stars winked in shadowed hues.
“Glina…” She whispered, the words recalling the familiar face made her want to cry again.
She looked at her fingers, thin against the dark wood and wondered what monster she had become.
Tears fell against her cheeks and she saw a flash of light at the corner of her eye and she turned, but the room was no longer there…
It had fallen away.
Plodding…
Until she reached the crest and stood with sweat peppering her cheeks, her forehead, and her neck.
And find the voice that spoke in her head and find answers to her questions. And find more questions.
In her mind the black sky and the white sand reminded her of tiles on the floor of the Convent.
Always…
Choices…

In the room in the ruined city, the furniture lay tumbled and broken, the walls cracked and shattered.
The Voice spoke
And Teir screamed!
‘No!’
She fell to her knees and began to sob.
Tears fell from her eyes.
‘Do I have to…?’
But the Voice in her head did not answer.
The face of the woman in the painting that spoke to her simply pointed a finger against a road of stone that led out from the ruins into the deep sand and the hills beyond, to a sky half painted black…
And the sands half painted white…
The cleft was dark and deep, in fell into the side of the Stone cliff face that rose up out of the sand and stretched above her head into the black sky.
The tunnel led down,
Into darkness,
Down…
Into…
Darkness…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds6kXSo5pU4&feature=related
Into a cavern,
Filled with light,
And the sound of the Voice again.
‘Welcome Teir…
Welcome,
Home.’

The
Light
Filled
Her,
Joined
Her
And
World
Fell
Away
In
A
Brilliance
Of
Worlds spun, in the heavens, like wheels of wonder…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP4kET-Ul8o&feature=related
And she could feel them all.
Each world,
Each mind,
Each life,
And she spoke, and the wheels turned, and the heavens lit, and the thunder fell out of a black sky.
And lightening flashed in her eyes.
She/They spoke,
And her words fell on the worlds,
Spun on the wheels,
And a blinding light formed around her, as Tua’Eth said.
‘We are one now.’
She stood on the bridges of those ships,
On all of them,
Of those that knew her,
And those that only knew of her.
And to those Advent, in the ships that rose into orbit, she turned in a soft haze of light,
And smiled,
“Come with me… and I will show you vengeance” She said to them, and turned and looked out at the stars.

*
And the Vasari regarded her with snarls,
She was light, and in her eyes there was fire,
And she turned to them, and held out her hand, palm open,
And said,
“It is over.”
And then she closed her hand,
And the walls of the ships began
To bend
Inward
Until the screens shattered,
And the walls became
Rents
That opened into space,
And she stood, in a blaze of light,
And watched them,
As their eyes widened,
As their snarls turned to screams,
And their ships exploded
Into light,
And darkness,
And the ships were no more.
Debris floated on the grav breeze,
And red radiation from shattered cores spilled out
Into open space, glowing faintly, and shifted like
Seaweed in the tide.

She stood on the steps and the world stood before her,
And she stepped down,
Each step falling lower,
One was black,
And one was white.
The sun grows brighter,
Brighter,
Searing tendrils reaching out into deep space on spirals of liquid flame,
“I promise…” Teir says to them,
“I promise we will always be together…”

(Personal Story/Planet Galan, Advent Colony) Part Twelve of Teir - -Teal ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B7sH5QLyXY Teir- Beginnings of War – – What Monsters Are These That We Have Made? Teir screamed! And Gelle fell to her knees and covered her ears, as a psychic wave rolled out from Teir over her. A keening wailing! The grief brought tears to her eyes and she bent over and clutched her hands to her stomach. FATHER!!! LOST AND GONE!!! The green world of T’Lan fell into darkness and smoke and ruin. She could see the trees standing alone and the fields yellow and green tinged in the falling green light. Feel the breeze stir, barely stir, sweep across the broken ground. The burnt and shattered land. The cities on the far horizon columns of black smoke rising into the still sky. She cried and wept and the pain of it rolled out as gathering and thundering waves. NOOOOO!!!!! Gelle fell back on her side and wept and tried to crawl away, but could barely move, her hands shook as wave after wave fell. Inside the room, the walls began to tremble, hair line cracks appearing in the deep stone walls, running like spidered shattered webs across the white walls. The wood of the sill splintered and the dark night lay beyond the single small window leaking starlight ignorant and unknowing. Sere ran. Coming down the hallway at a dead run, as fast as she could move. In her mind the screaming continued and she twisted her head to the side to try to force her mind back to some semblance of functionality. The hallway was dark and fell away like a dark dream into screams. The walls shook and rumbled as if of distant gunfire. Reverberating in her bones. Down into the core of her. GONE!!! But Sere had no father, but she could feel it was not hers, but Teir’s that had been lost. She came at a sprint into the doorway and bent to pull the girl Gelle from the doorway into the deeper hallway, the girl’s hands had fallen away from her ears and she lay unconscious on the floor. The doorway into the room was broken and shattered and cracks had widened to tears and rents and spread like a rupturing ship losing atmosphere in the deep, the cold of open space laying beyond the thin veil of ripping bulkhead walls. She grasped the girls wrists and pulled her halfway down the hall to the edge of the ramp that descended to the lower floors and went back. Standing in the open breaking door with a rising wind pushing out in a stirring gale, in the room lightening cracked, bright and blue for an instant and then gone. The mother sat up in her bed and looked around wide eyed, fear pressed into her thin lips. Sere went through the door into the room and crossed the small distance. As if it were a thousand miles. She stepped forward one step. The sky was black and boiling overhead, trapped in the small confines of the room, the green sky screamed! Her foot fell on concrete walks with lightstands on the corners bent and half melted, leaning like drunken steel trees in front of the broken store fronts. She stepped onto grass and burnt ground and turned seeing a S’verkin Crawler burning! The ground was uneven under her feet. Beyond the burning grass lay a long dirt ditch in the ground and men lay there, blackened shapes with no longer faces that could be discerned beyond blackened masks of surprise, or anger, or pain. She stepped over the ditch and moved toward the house and the column of fire and smoke and the shattered remains of the crawlers. Her feet moving over the stone tiles slowly as the gale rose and the wind pushed at her and the lightening fell. An afterimage of light lingering in her eyes. She stepped one more step and made it to the bed and took the mother in her arms and turned away. The gale struck her then and she fell, taking the mother with her down onto the breaking floor. Behind her shoulder she could see the house still burning! The green sky burning. She cried out and tears fell from her eyes, FATHER!!! NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! She held onto the mother and pushed her feet under her against the stone floor and inched her way back across the burning grass, the house burning behind her, toward the doorway. The sky burned and lights fell out of the sky, glittering in their beautiful destruction. The sea moved slowly, the tide falling in a rhythm out of sync with the world. Back an inch. Tensing her arms and pulling... lightening crashed! Pulling... Arms tensing and pulling... the wind howled! She started breathing hard, pulling, tensing her body, catching her foot underneath her, pushing hard down and back against the stone. Pulling... "Aaaahhhh!" She gritted her teeth and pulled with her arms and pushed with her bare feet on the ripped and burning ground around her. She pushed her feet against the breaking stone. The window shattered in a crash and was torn and thrown out into the dark. The surrounding wall about it ripped in degrees and stones shattered and were crushed by something that couldn’t be seen. Back an inch. Pulling her arms linked under the mother’s arms, her lips drawn into a tight line, she tensed her arms and pulled, groaning, "Aaahh!" a sound escape her and she tensed her arms, feeling the muscles starting to fail, and pulled, "Aaahhh -- aaahhh!" pushing her legs against the stone, the muscles aching, her feet slipping and pushing, pushing and catching, slipping… back an inch. The house and the barn and the crawlers burned in the afternoon light. Lightening crashed and the outer wall exploded out into dark night and Teir sat rigid, bolt upright with her eyes wide, her mouth twisted into pain. Sere reached past the burning door of the burning house, the broken crawler beyond her and clutched at the splintering wooden frame and pulled herself and the mother into the hallway. The floor shattered then and groaned, stone grinding against stone as the floor opened and then fell away ripping stone and wood and the Convent groaned as the east wall collapsed. The wind howled and lightening fell and Teir’s thin stretched lips twisted into anger and she bared her teeth and gritted them, clenching her teeth, her eyes sparked fire. Sere shakily stood, moving against the gale wind, trying to force herself back into the room. She made two steps, crossing the threshold into the room, broken stones inches from her feet when Teir raised her arms and twisted her hand in a quick savage half turn. The sudden bolt took Sere in the chest and threw her back against the wall against the doorframe with such force that it ripped open her arms and shoulder, bone jutted broken at odd angles and blood fell as if in slow motion. Sere reached out with her mind, 'Teir...' Tried to raise her hand, but it hung limply beside her unmoving. The second bolt took her in the chest, exploding in smoke and a brilliant flash of blue light. Sere slammed back against the wall, red blossoming against the wall behind her head and closed her eyes. Gelle stood in the rent of the broken doorway screaming! Lightening cracked around Teir and her outstretched arms in blue instant flashes that faded, struck, brilliant!! Holding for an instant and then fading. She hung suspended in the air, the broken bed had fallen away and the floor was gone, the outer walls were gone. Smoke rose in the pit two floors down, stone dust and water dripped from the ragged stones at the edges of the walls and dropped in slow drops into the open pit. The wind rose. Five guards stepped into the rent where the doorway had been. Their masks covered their faces and their eyes. They wore white single slip uniforms that covered them to their necks and wrists and ankles. They were barefoot. Lightening flashed! They stepped into the room, reaching out with their minds… STOP!!! But they couldn’t reach the girl hanging in open space above the pit that had been floor. A wall enclosed the girl, a wall they couldn’t see. Lightening flashed! And Teir, face twisted in rage and anger and grief reached out her hand and twisted it. The guards rose in the air and slammed back through the broken rent against the far wall. Teir closed her hand , making a fist and pressing her fingers tight against one another and crushed them. Broken bones snapped and blood spilled from underneath the white masks. Gelle was standing in the smashed gaping hole of the doorway screaming, shaking her fist at Teir and screaming! A lightning bolt lanced out and struck her. She fell to her knees, her gray robe smoking, whipping in the twisting gale. “TEIR STOP IT! YOU ARE KILLING US!!!” She screamed into the howling wind. The inner wall groaned and ground, slowly and then faster, shrieking and then the wall exploded outward into the hallway and Gelle fell back in a flash of blue light. Rain fell in torrents and the wind screamed. Gelle lay slumped against the hallway wall blood dripping from her mouth staring across the open space to the shattered wall with Teir hanging in mid air, her dark brown hair streaming back, her eyes wide and angry and flashing. “…stop... Teir… stop it…” she whispered. Rain fell and lightening flashed. The walls of the Convent groaned as wood and stone shifted and the wind screamed. Teir blinked. As if waking from some horrid dream. Slowly then her mouth twisted down in pain as she took in the shattered room around her. Her eyes rolled up, and her head fell back, her arms fell to her sides and she fell back in mid air and fell. Into the pit two floors below.
