Its us again! Here to bring you yet another exciting community topic!!!!
This topic is dedicated to any stories, lore, epic poems, novels, Role Playing...anything your heart desires to share!!!
We are always up for a good read and are excited to see what you all create from DS.
We will be featuring hopefully some neat post in this orginal post every so often. Maybe be something we liked or we though it need attention! So, aim your Ogrov at that writers block and get your fingers typing!
There aren't any rules, but we do have some guidelines to follow so that we all can participate and enjoy ourselves.-There is really no limit on what you post just as long as it is Distant Stars related.-Most members are participating in a single large story with the occasional side story or two. While this thread is certainly not limited to just that story, for the benefit of all readers and participants, please begin your post with how we're supposed to handle it. (Personal Story) (DS RP) (Trader Space) Examples of this can be found all throughout the thread or by looking at this post. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/21/#2596003 This will help us all out by letting us know if you're trying to set yourself up to join the main lore, if you plan on just telling your own story, or if you're just writing lullabies for children to sing before they go to bed.-While we don't expect you to 'Play the game' in your stories, we do ask that you keep any liberties that you take be grounded within the game. For example: Talking about your space marines invading another ship is not something the game covers, so feel free to be inventive on how it would happen. However, carrying point singularity rifles that open up little black holes is beyond the scope of the game and will not be allowed. Soldiers with phasic armor that prevents them from being wounded let alone even being hit, while being relevant to the technology in the game would also not be allowed. The point is to be fair to the other people. We encourage you to ask yourselves, would this work in the game, and how would I feel if someone used this on me? If You feel strongly that it would work and you'd be okay with it being used against you, then by all means, use it. Fantasy posting, dream sequences, and April Fool's postings are of course, immune from this guideline.-We highly encourage you to message other members for help or advice. There is a TeamSpeak channel that is frequently used by the regulars to talk issues out or just shoot the breeze behind the scenes. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of these resources. Also, 'regulars' may send you messages with suggestions, concerns, or advice. It's nothing personal, so please do not be offended, they're just trying to help keep the lore consistent within these guidelines. If there's any doubt at all about anything, just message one of the people who you see posting a lot. If they don't know, they'll pass your message along to someone who does or tell you who you need to talk to.-It is also highly recommended that you message other RPers before posting anything involving their stuff. If you don't, you're likely going to find all of DS rising up against you.-In an effort to reduce clutter, we're asking that Out Of Character (OOC) commenting be either sent to the individual for whom it is intended by using the private message feature, or take it to another thread. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/366762 is a thread frequented by many of the lore writers and random comment posting about anything under the sun is highly encouraged there as well in an attempt to get the thread locked. Enjoy.

Some resources that we have spent hours, days, and weeks working on that will help out all participants in this thread. We ask that you look through these to help you better understand the region.-About Distant Stars- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/11/#2532381This post will give you a lot of basic information on what the region of space is like, how to get there, and who is there waiting for you.-Distant Stars Maps- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/23/#2604760This post provides you with a quick look at the region and provides you with a download link where you can get yourself a copy of the posted maps in their unreduced forms. They're very helpful when trying to figure out where to go and who you're likely going to run into when you get there. Maps of individual systems are posted throughout the thread. They're generally posted by the first person to explore the system. If you don't know if a system has been explored or not or want to see a map of a system that has been explored, ask around via PM or TeamSpeak. Someone will point you to the place.-Character Biographies- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/11/#2532380This post is a general collection of the main RP characters whom you will likely have contact with. We ask that all people posting in the main lore post their main character(s) bio as soon as possible so that the rest of us have a little background on who your character is, how they like to fight, where do they come from, and why they're there. Read the existing bios for examples on what we're looking for.

Would it be okay of me to request perhaps a Red Giant system that has nothing but asteroid clusters? While my main character has no official base of operations, I realized I do need a place for the mystery person my character is chasing.

RDA Flag Ship Sun Tzu
--------------------------------------------------------------
“We are going in Admiral.” Said Captain Tiebiris.
“Thank you Captain.” Said Shara. As the ships went thou the worm hole every thing went dim then they where on the other side.
“RED ALERT RED ALERT.”
“Oh my god.” gasped the Captain.
“What is it Captain!?” Yelled Shara.
“We are detecting 8 Vasari Star Base's and 20 Capital ships.” He said in almost a whisper. Just then Commander Oranos's voice came over the general comm.
“All ships fall back thou the Wormhole!!!” He Yelled. Then he showed up on the ship to ship comm. “I'm sorry Shara looks like things just went very bad. We need to get the hell out of here. Now. I'll let you coordinate the retreat I'll lead the defense so the others can get away.” Oranos said grimly.
“Yes sir.” Shara said. “All Frigates and Cruisers Fall back thou Worm hole now. All Capital ships Support the Wyvern. We need to buy enough for the Frigates and Cruisers to escape.” She said across the general comm.
The Wyvern sported by the other capital ships moved in to line to block the enemy ships they where out numbered almost three to one.
"Warlord, Reaper move to the front to distract the enemy. To all ships do not launch strike craft repeat do not launch strikes craft. Captain a littleplease. For what may be a unwinabel battle." Said Oranos.
"Yesssss Comanderrrrrr." Said captain V'har of the Wyvern. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83JBxHqNeAA&playnext_from=TL&videos=hRkySDX4Bjo )
The Warlord and the Reaper (Kol) moved to the front to use there adaptive force field to block some of the enemy fire. Ten Kortul Devastator's came in to range and opened fire on the Warlord. Laser's , plasma and beams fulled the night sky. As all the RDA Capital ships opened fire. The Warlord's Adaptive force field blocked most of the incoming damage. However the Warlordstill took great damage. Then the 10 Skirantra Carriers launched their strike craft.
"Warlord fall back behind the Reaper. Reaper, Warlord prepare to use flakburst on my mark, mark!"He said over the comm.
The Warlord and the Reaper used their flak bursts and cut down a good number of the strike craft however many bombers still got through. The Sun Tzu and the Wyvern took damage from the bombers. " Protector move forward and help the Sun Tzu and the Wyvern" The Protector (Dunov) moved in to help regenerate their shields.
"Doomsday move forward and engage the enemy closely." The Doomsday (Marza) moved forward and launched its missile barrage. The enemy capital ships took damage a few even lost their shields during the missile barrage. Three of the Kortul's moved forward as the others attempted to move around and encircle the fleet. The Warlord and Reaper moved to the sides and opened fire on the encircling ships.
Just then one of the starbase's came into range and opened fire with its main weapon batteries. The protector took most of the damage. It turns trying to escape from the range of the starbase. " Captain, Drop a missile batterie and attempt to distract the starbase" The Wyvern drops a missile batterie and it opens fire on the starbase's trying to distract it.
As this is going on hundreds of strike craft are plageing the frigates and cruisers. The flak frigates fire back at the strike craft destroying many, however all the ships take damage. Finally all the frigates and cruisers escape through the wormhole. Though some are lost.
" All Capital ships fall back to the wormhole repeat all Capital ships fall back to the wormhole." Said Shara on the general comm channel. " Warlord, Reaper take up the rear and cover our retreat. Protector restore their shields as we go. Wyvern deploy missile batteries to help cover our retreat." Said Shara.
" Captain fire an ion bolt at the starbase." Said Shara. The SunTzu then fired the ion bolt it had been saving during the fight, into the starbase. Shutting down all of its weapons. The capital ships then moved into formation, and started to run for the wormhole. All of the Kortul's came after them. The Reaper took great damage protecting the fleet. Finally the ships made it to the wormhole, and went through.
"New Hope station we're coming in hot. Call home fleet for assistance." Said Shara on the general comm. Just then three of the Kortul's came through the wormhole.
"All ships open fire on the enemy." Said Oranos on the comm. The Kortul's turn and tried to flee, when they saw the starbase. One escaped, the others were destroyed, by the fleet and New Hope station working together." All ships stand down. All damaged ships move to Gaia for repairs. All other ships guard the wormhole we may get more un-wanted visitors soon. "Captain call the Sun Tzu." Said Oranos.
" Yesss Sirrrrrrr." Said captain V'har as Shara's face came up on the screen.
"Comander i.... i dont know what to say." Said Shara.
"I do we got our but's sliced off and handed back to us on a silver platter." Said Oranos. "If it hadn't been for your quick thinking it would've been a lot worse."
"Me? But sir all i did was command the retreat you were in charge of the battle" Said Shara sadly.
" Ah but the retreat was the most important part, if you hadn't commanded it so well we'll be dead." Said Oranos.
"I......... i guess so but we lost so many 52 ships gone.” she said
“It is terrible but you did your best. If its any ones fault its mine we should have gotten more info before jumping in like that.” Said Oranos.
“Its not sir. No one could have know they'd have 8 star bases and 20 Capital ships there.” Said Shara
“Thank you Shara but its my responsibility to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen." Said Oranos. Just then an ensign burst onto the bridge panting.
" Sir there's been an emergency message from home fleet!"He said.
"Well what's the message ensign?" Said Oranos.
"Katun station detected a Trade Order scout ship in Mellonos's (the star) gravity well. It managed to escape before it could be stopped. We've been found sir."
All sound on the bridge stopped at this news.

Simply stating DS lore or DS means it's for the overall story that we're all in, such as the joint operations that are taking place with Carbon, Xenon, Ryat, Draakjacht, and who ever else may join in, like me to some small degree, or really any large joint posting where multiple people have something going on and they're all posting for that same story line.
DS Personal or something to that effect like what I typically put in means it's part of the overall DS story, however, I'm doing my own thing separate from the main so whatever I do, no one really has to pay much attention to it and respond to it right away.
Just stating Personal means it's your own thing unrelated to the main lore going on and may or may not be DS related. Such as if anyone has any artwork, or poems, or songs, or even short stories of their own that probably wouldn't fit in well with what we're all doing or even if it does, Personal is a good general tag to use.
Most importantly, if most of the description of systems, names being used, battles or movement don't take place in DS it'd be very helpful to not use DS Lore as an opening tag, but instead use Trader Space or something to that effect.
(DS Lore)
"Find the Prophet," the voice said, "you cannot find the Nine alone." Lord Ryat sat up in the bed in which he was placed. He was in a medical room. Usyma was in a chair asleep next to his bed. Monitors, mostly connected to his head, beeped loudly as his brain waves changed dramatically. This woke up Usyma and caused the door to open as a nurse stepped in to see what was going on. The nurse began looking over Lord Ryat checking vital stats and entering into his board for the doctor to look over later. Usyma came over and took hold of Lord Ryat's free hand. "You okay?" she asked with much concern. "Yeah yeah," he said, "Slight headache. How long was I out?" "About a day," she answered, "Your brain waves have been all over the place. Do you remember anything?" "No, not a thing," he lied. Usyma studied him for a moment. It was clear she didn't believe him. "Well, when you are ready to talk I'm here for you," she said. Ryat nodded his head then paused for a moment. The words "Pirate Lord" echoed in his head. "That's it," he said under his breath. "I think I may have the solution to our problem with Kyrene," he said. "And that is.....?" she said. "Shhh, top secret," he said, "Get Lord J'rah, Xenon, Carbon, and Draakjacht and tell them to get ready. I'm getting some help." He began taking off the monitors. "My lord, please wait for the doctor to get here and check you out," the nurse said. "I'm fine," he growled as he removed the last of the monitors and went to the personal items drawer. He pulled out his black jumpsuit and began to dress. The doctor came in as he was half way dressed. "Ah Lord Ryat. Ready to go already," she said as he continued to dress. "Got some things to get done," he said, "no time to stop." He stumbled a bit as he got his boots and sat down to put them on. "I suppose recommending a couple days of rest is both out of the question and would be ignored anyway," the doctor grumbled. "Anyway, we aren't sure what happened to you that caused your blackout but it may be related to how much you have pushed yourself lately. I highly recommend you rest." "I know what caused it," Ryat said, "Or at least I think I know. Anyway, I got to go so just sign me out and I'll be on my way." The doctor sighed and made some notations on her board. "Don't suppose you can do anything about that?" she said looking at Usyma. Usyma just shook her head. Lord Ryat finished dressing and headed out of the room. Usyma hurried after him. Ryat was tired and movement was difficult. But something drove him on. Usyma had to move quickly to keep up. "Ryat, wait up," she said, "Where are you going?" Ryat paused as if noticing Usyma for the first time. "I'm going to uh..." he said, "get some help." "Where?" she asked. "Can't tell you," he said and continued his journey. He entered into the shuttle hangar bay and then into the nav computer memory storage room. He pulled out a fresh memory unit. "Whats that for?' she asked. "For the shuttle I'm taking," he replied. "To where?" she asked again, "Oh, I'm sorry. You can't tell me," she added sarcastically. "Why won't you let me in, DAMMIT!" she said exasperatedly. "I'm sorry Usyma," Ryat said quietly, "Really I am. But this is something I want to die with me and not burden you or any children we have with. Please just accept this and let me go alone." "This is insane," she grumbled, "what am I doing?" "What, do you want to back out of the marriage thing?" Ryat said. "No, no," Usyma said shaking her head, "I mean letting you go off again. Last time you were taken by pirates. You've have been wounded in battle, been affected by some sort of psych attack. I'm just worried." Ryat put the memory unit down and pulled her close. "I'm sorry, but I have to do this," he said. "I know," she replied. They held each other for a few moments then he let go and picked up the memory unit and headed for his shuttle while Usyma moved quickly out of the hangar bay. In the shuttle, Ryat worked quickly, removing the old nav memory unit and setting it aside for later and putting in the fresh one. He ran through the start up check list. Being that he required all ships to be well maintained the shuttle started up with ease. The computer guided the shuttle out of the bay and he took over from there. He programmed his course and set the autopilot. The shuttle jumped from Portage VI to Portage V. Portage V was awash with energy and storms. The shuttle was big enough to withstand the all that chaotic energy washing over it. Scientists were still studying this effect that was caused by the Kostura cannon with the White Impulse attached to it. Ryat only thought of its tactical and strategic implications. The vessel soon reached the other jump piont Ryat set and jumped to Portage III. Portage III was in chaos as Admiral Draakjacht was heavily engaged with the Vasari Fleet and the guardian starbase. Red Fleet phased in on the other side and headed towards the battle. Lord Ryat sighed. He had told Alexander that Portage III would be handled. With the pirates attacking the remnants of the Kris Slavers economy and an Advent fleet chomping at its others systems, Portage III could wait and starve on the vine. But Alexander couldn't wait. Now Ryat is going to have to placate the pirates that lost their bounties and who knows what other political complications this would create. His tiny shuttle reached the edge of the gravwell heading towards the star. Just before he jumped a massive flash occured. After the sensors settled he noticed three ships missing. He sighed again and jumped the shuttle out. The green star of Portage shined through the view ports as he set his course. The usual warnings came through "Warning," the female voice said, "Black Five is a dangerous region, recommend going to a different region." Lord Ryat overrode the warning and the shuttle continued on the course he had set. He then set a ping on the phasic communitcations line. A ping set at a preselected frequency that only a few were aware of. Then he leaned back in his seat and attempted to sleep as the ride would be a long one. Black 5 was a region of planets and stars at the edge of the Distant Stars sector. Centered around a massive magnetar with several smaller stars many of the gravwells were mostly a collection of asteriods which the pirates took over. Many had tried over the years to rid the pirates from the area, but the fact that there was an extremely long supply chain involved many failed. So Black 5 remains in pirate's hands. One gravwell with a dead asteriod at its centerpoint contained a massive starbase with a ring of gauss cannons and beam weapons. Pirate Battleships and Akkan Battlecruisers were jumping in and heading for the starbase. Already a collection of such ships were docked at the massive starbase. Inside a massive room was filled with pirates. Many were talking and laughing amoungst each other, while others stood by quietly. All were dressed in colorful garb as if involved in some sort of festival. Robotic servants coming in and out of small side doors, bustled about bringing food and drink to the attendees. Ching Shih stood amoungst her compatriots as they discussed why the call was made. "I've heard we are going to rip the TEC a new one after they stole our targets near the Portage system," said one. "Nah, I've heard the Vasari for all the trouble they've been causing lately," said another. "Could be the Advent, we haven't been seriously set against them in a while," added a third. "You all are wrong," commented a fourth, "Maybe the pirate lord has decided to come out of the closet and take them all on and rule the Distant Stars sector." Ching hid her smile behind the cup as she took a drink. After figuring out that the Pirate Lord was Lord Ryat she had taken to carefully watching what he and his allies were doing. She had gladly taken up the raidng job on the Kris Slavers, even bought a new pirate battleship and named it Junk II. That Admiral Draakjacht character had screwed up the job. Hopefully this would make up for that. A long gong interrupted her thoughts and all the conversations around the room. A second gong sounded and all the robots went around an collected all the food, drink, and garbage in the room. Seats were brought out and arranged in rows with robotic efficiency. A male voice commanded for all to sit, which the pirates did. A third gong sounded through the now quiet room and echoed into silence. After a few moments of silence, The massive doors at the back of the room slammed open, and a single figure strode into the room. Cladded in a crimson red combat armor suit, a crimson red cape, and a full faced helmet set a death mask, the figure moved with grace down the aisle as the pirates looked on, crimson red boots ringing on the floor. On the other side of the room a throne rose from the floor and elevated itself above all. The figure climbed the stairs leading up to it and turning with a florish sat down on the throne. Silence again reigned in the room, seemingly deafening to everyone present. "Thank you all for coming," said a quiet male voice that seemed to play in each person's ears. "There has been an offer that will be very lucrative to all. On the other hand, it will require a large portion of you to be involved to be successful and reap the rewards. But don't worry, there will be plenty of loot for all." "So what is the target involved with this raid?" called out an older pirate. He was well known as being a smart pirate and had been around awhile. "It is upon the military moon of Kyrene VI," the voice answered. "A military moon?" said another pirate, "what kinda fools do you think we are? There are no good economical targets there." "The client realizes this and hence has set a very lucrative offer for those who wish to participate," the voice replied. The meeting continued on with many complaints brought forth and answers given. All the while Ching watched the figure on the throne that never moved, just sat there menacingly. Quite the contrast to the quiet kind voice that spoke. Finally a gong sounded to close the meeting. Several robots came out of the side doors with pads that got each pirate's answer as to their acceptance of the mission or not. Ching accepted, and many of the pirates did as well. The robots, after going to each pirate, departed with the results. A final gong sounded and the crimson figure got off the throne and marched to and through the massive doors which closed with a boom. The pirates began to disperse to their respective ships. Ching Shih hung around a bit which caught someone's interests as a robot came out of the door and approached her. "Please return to your ship ma'am," the robot said in a mechanical voice. "I would like to speak with the Pirate Lord please," she said, "Tell him it's Ching Shih that's asking." The robot paused for a few moments. "This way please," it said and lead Ching to a side door. Lord Ryat entered his room, pulling off the death masked helmet, throwing it to the floor. The top part of the combat armor was next. He sat on the chair in the room and began pulling off the boots. What is bothering you my son? a voice said in his mind. "Nothing Grandpa," he said out loud. His grandpa theorictally died years ago, but had really been put into this station and was its controlling mind. With his mind no longer inhibited by a physical body, he had grown quite powerful. Right came the reply with a disbelieving tone. Ryat threw his boots on the floor and leaned back in his chair with a sigh. "Fine," he said, "I've been having these odd dreams and visions. Sometimes affecting me to the point that I can't sleep or sometimes I pass out for a while." Interesting his grandpa said, Mind if I take a look? Ryat agreed and relaxed himself to allow his grandfather to enter. The pictures and visions raced through his mind, many of which he never recalled. Soon it was over and Ryat felt drained. It seems you are psychically connected to these artifacts and this Prophet of the Nine his grandfather informed him. Ryat stood up and finished changing out of his pirate costume and into his regular black jumpsuit. "Great so my Advent heritage has given me more trouble," he grumbled, "Again." His grandfather didn't reply as he put on his black boots. "So who is this Prophet of the Nine guy anyway?" he asked. Not sure came the answer Though I get that feeling that its an Advent. "Great," Ryat said angrily, "So now I have to work with an Advent to get to all of the artifacts to keep them from the Advent. That makes a lot of sense." Maybe not now his grandfather said But in time it will make sense. "Gee, thanks," he said. Grow Up Ryat! his grandfather said in an angry tone I taught you better than this. The door chimed before Ryat could retort. "Yes?" he said. "A Miss Ching Shih is here to see you my lord," came the response from a robot. Who? his grandfather asked. "A pirate," he answered, "and a smart one at that. Send her in." He quickly looked himself to make sure he was presentable. "Ah the mighty pirate lord in all his splendor," Ching said as she came in. "What do you want?" he said. "Straight to the point, as always," she responded, "Was curious as to what you are going to about that the pirates that got screwed over with your ally's attack on Portage III. That was stupid to let him do that." "Like I said," Ryat said, "I don't control my allies." "Well what are you going to do about it?" she said. "I don't know yet," he said, "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it." "Well, I don't need anything," Ching said as she sat on the bed in the room, “But you might want to figure out something soon. The other pirates are pissed.” “What ever,” he shrugged, “Is that what you wanted to talk about?” “I want to know more about this job,” she said, “There’s more than you are telling us pirates.” Ryat began to say a retort when his grandfather butted in. Trust her, she may be of good use. Besides she’s cute. Ryat shoot back a mental glare. “Okay,” he said, “you guys are suppose to draw some Advent forces away from another area and towards you so that we can attack with minimal resistance.” “And how do you plan on circumventing the military moon,” she asked. “We have a Kostura Cannon that will allow us to attack where we want,” he said, “As a matter a fact, its heavily modified and its attack is so strong we are going to wait for the bulk of the fleet to arrive in the target planet and blow it all away. You won’t have to worry about a retaliatory fleet hitting you and neither do we.” “So you think you got it all sown up, don’t you,” she said. “I hope you do.” With that she left the room. “Why did you make me do that?” Ryat asked his grandfather. She will be of use soon.

"Lieutenant," Alexander calls.
"Yes, sir," Gross replies.
"Have they begun construction of the Argonev at Portage IV?"
"No, sir. They report all craft have been completed and preparations for the deconstruction are being made. No activity otherwise, sir," Gross replies.
"Good. I assume we have the layout for the Envoy Cruiser?"
Gross appears surprised for a moment before saying, "I do believe so."
"Have them build an Envoy Cruiser and deliver it to me. Then they can proceed with the demolition of the frigate bay. Until further notice, I want the trade port to remain," Alexander orders.
"Yes, sir. What do we do with the Raloz in the meantime?"
"I want the Arcovas and Raloz to report here. Have Green Fleet assemble their standard vessels and reallocate crewmen where necessary. Then I want them to watch over Portage IV. If anything occurs there, have them call for reinforcements."
"Yes, sir."
NOTE: Sorry for not getting my story started yet, It is coming. I'm working behind the sceanes on map layout first and then I will continue.
I also have been putting alot of my free time into the Sins Optimization Project of Major Stress. Not enough hours in the day.....
quick quib to keep the story alive....
"My Lord, the phase drive is failing!"
"What?!?" Prince Si'V exclaimed, "Why is it failing? Has the Nanotech coolent been cycled correctly?"
"Yes my Lord, but the drive has been running for over 7,000 years. It was never designed to be used that long."
"Is there any way to repair it without leaving phase?"
"No sir, it is growing unstable."
"Very well, take us out at the next closes Nebula so we can remain undetected. The Darkness IS following us, I just hope we have bought ourselves enough time..."
Xenon was sitting at his desk, he had been talking to the Underworld for some time, getting all the new info that was coming in. On the top of his list was the destruction of a small fleet he had sent to pick up some advent that had somehow warped into the Distant Stars sector. According to the little bit of info that they had received, when the fleet had arrived they had been met with hostile communications, so when his men did the correct action they where fired upon and destroyed. Lucky for Xenon his men was able to transmit who was shooting them. In addition to the unknow advent forces that where there, the Roshef Free Traders where also engaged. Xenon had heard of this group before. They claimed to be traders, though if they where just traders, why are they aiding Advent vessels, and not just with pick up crew members, but repairing them and defending them? This could only mean that either they are being dominated by the advent ships, or they are actually terrorist, helping the advent with the front of 'traders'. Either way Xenon knew he couldnt let this group continue to group at an increasing rate.
His first plan was to send a message to Carbon, he had to be told about what was going on. He also needed to talk to the people who had dealings with the 'traders'. Admiral Draak had done lots of business with this group. Xenon had also herd that Draak was not going to help with the assault on Kyrene. His people had some sympathies toward the Advent. This could also be another group that was receiving aid from the Advent. Xenon knew that Draak had helped in the past, but that was when he was new to the sector and had no ties to any other faction here. Could he have been swayed to help the Advent by not helping at all?
Lord Ryat was also a question, with all of is recent activity away from his fleet. No, Ryat was a crafty individual but he had a general dislike for the Advent also.
Xenon cleared his head, he hit a few buttons on his desk, opening up a communication channel. He sat for a moment as the connection was made. Mercury picked up on the other side.
" Yez, Mercury zpecking" Said the man on the other side.
" Xenon here, just wanted to go over a few things with you" The metal man said looking at his reports
" Ov courze" Mercury said, " Vhat do you require to knov?"
" Just double checking some of the stuff im getting here, hows dealing with Iron?" Xenon asked, still not looking up
" Moztly mall scurmazhez. He haz not made any real pushez. Zeemz he iz rebuilding at zhe moment." Mercury said quickly.
"Most likely to try and retake White Impulse, keep eyes out, we are expecting him to take a indirect path to the device. if you get anything let me know imediatly." Xenon replied, as he now looked at the man on the otherside
" Am I to zend info to zhe Underworld, Or you?" Mercury ask.
" The Underworld is fine, Xenon out" Xenon cut the connection. He needed to get back to the Underworld, but he was needed for the taking of Kyrene, and he couldn't miss a chance to kill Advent.
Xenon went back over a short list of divisions that where loyal to Carbon. The only confirmed ones where himself, Gold, and Mercury. It was fitting that the three Paragons stayed at the side of the fearless leader. Xenon knew Carbon had gone back to try and get the board to stop splitting the company apart, but he also knew that it was going to be fruitless. Iron had already shown that the board was not afraid to destroy the lives of billions just so they can keep a shred of power on what they used to control. Damn Advent, why do they always have destroy everything.
Here are the maps that I have made for the Proveva System and Russundova Nebula.
The story will be forthcoming...
EDIT: Russsundova Nebula updated!
Lord Ryat brought the shuttle into the gravwell of the Portage Star. Bringing the vessel to a stop, he got out of his seat and pulled out the nav computer memory, the new one he had put in for the trip. Walking over to the trash chute, he put the memory on a table next to it and pulled out a hand laser. He used it on the memory unit to reduce it to a slag, then with his hands properly insulated from the heat, dumped the unit into the trash chute. He activated the unit and sent the slagged memory unit towards the star. Satisfied that the unit would never be retrieved he replaced the old nav memory unit set course for Portage VI. Passing through Portage III, he took note of Admiral Draakjacht's fleet in orbit of the planet with interest. Upon entering Poratge VI he got a call from Usyma. "Get here to your office as soon as you can please," she said, "We have a situation." Ryat sighed and acknowledged. Well so much for getting some rest before getting ready for the attack. The trip back was uneventful from there. Upon entering his office he notices Lord J'rah and his staff there as well as Usyma and his staff. "So what's the deal," Lord Ryat said as he sat in his large black leather seat. "It's Draakjacht," Lord J'rah said, "He is claiming Portage III and IV." "Well you can't blame him," Lord Ryat said, "He did earn them." "Well We are outraged at this," Lord J'rah said, "We were informed at the beginning of this campaign that all of Portage was to be given to us. We agreed to keep human causalties to a minimum and to allow Portage IV to be used as a processing point to send the humans, if they so wished, to other human populated areas. Admiral Draakjacht has broken this deal with his claims. We demand satisfaction!" This last comment was punctuated with a slam of his hand onto Lord Ryat's desk. Lord Ryat didn't flinch. "So how do YOU feel about it?" Lord Ryat asked. "Same as you," Lord J'rah said with a bit of a sigh, "I don't blame him. He and his men are far from their homes. They have spent their blood in helping us with many issues and have asked for very little. They deserve to have these planets." He sighed again and leaned back his chair. "But I can't allow this. If I do, I will lose support, which will jeopardize everything we have built here in Portage. Some in the court are outraged that the Kostura Cannon is even being used for human interests. This will only add to their comments that I have gone soft and no longer care about Vasari interests and have become nothing but your lapdog." "Flipside, we deny Draakjacht his claim and we have a small civil war developing that will do the same thing," Lord Ryat said, "We can't afford to lose any more ships. Not to mention that both Carbon and Xenon would both have issues as well, seems how they don't have any planets themselves plus have given of their own to do this job. Damn, wish Draakjacht had just stayed at Portage IV like I recommended. Would have made things a lot easier. At the same time, I don't blame him for feeling the need to take action." "Well We have said all that We came to say," Lord J'rah said, "I will do what I can to minimize the damage that will occur if We have to bow to Draakjacht's requests." "Okay," Lord Ryat replied, "And I'll see about talking to Alexander and maybe getting the three of us together in a small room and hopefully hash out a compromise that will mitigate the damage that this has caused." With that Lord J'rah and his staff left the office. Lord Ryat sighed and turned to Usyma. "Did you get a communication line to Xenon like I asked?" he said. "Yes," she replied, "He is waiting for you now." Ryat thanked her and ordered the wall unit to activate the comm line. Xenon's metallic face appeared on the screen, his red eye glowing brightly. Not a good sign, but Lord Ryat pressed on. "Thank you for seeing me on such short notice Xenon, I know you are busy," he said. "No problem," Xenon responded, "What do you need?" "Do you by any chance have an agent on Kyrene I?" Ryat asked. "Have a couple yes, why?" Xenon replied. "Was wondering if they could put a probe up so that we could keep and eye on that system?" Ryat continued. "Yeah, sure not a problem," Xenon said, "So what are you planning?" Ryat smiled and told him some of the plan. "Devious," was Xenon's response, "I like it. Oh have you heard of the event that occured at Russundova Nebula?" Ryat shook his head and looked over at Usyma who promptly put a datafile before him. He took it and took several minutes to read through it. "Look's like you got your butt kicked there," Lord Ryat said with a chuckle. "I believe the Roesh and his crew are Advent traitors and need to be punished," Xenon said, his mechanical eye pulsing red, "look how many inroads he has made so far." Ryat sighed as he realized that Draakjacht was using Roesh to support his troops. Any attack on his part would be bad with the current issue between Draakjacht and Lord J'rah. What a mess. Not to mention that Lord J'rah had just formed a trade deal with Roesh. "Look Xenon," he began, "I think you are looking a bit too closely at all of this. Yes-" "HE WAS AIDING THE ADVENT!" Xenon roared. "IT CAN'T GET MUCH CLEARER!" "Okay Xenon I get it!" Ryat answered back, "But we need to be focused here. Roesh is at best a minor player, and we need to focus on Kyrene. When Kyrene is handled then we can figure out what to do about Roesh." "What if Roesh is spying for the Advent at Kyrene," Xenon fired back, "Did you think of that?" "Yes I did," Ryat replied, "And all I can say is, better the devil you know then the devil you don't. If Roesh is a spy for them, then we merely need to give him certain information that will trick the Advent in Kyrene to doing what we want. Then when we have Kyrene all sown up, then we can begin working on Roesh. But for now, COOL IT!" Xenon glared at Ryat for a moment, but the mechanical eye had calmed its pulsing. "You've made your point," Xenon said, "I'll get my agents going in Kyrene I for you." And with that Xenon cut the comm line. "Send a copy of this to Roesh," Lord Ryat said with a sigh, "Something tells me that Xenon is not going to listen to me."
Trader Space----------------------------------------------------------------------------Gardenia Ship Yard's of Carta (Desert Planet) Mellonos Star System ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Kalder it looks like things are progressing. We are building 100's of Jarun Migrator ships and Protev's . We are even Salvaging many of our older ships for more parts, but will it be enough for every one?” Asked Oranos. “I Believe ssso ourrr ssystem isss sssmall and many own there own sshipsss and we sshall be using Cyro Stasis to ssave sspace on the sshipsss. Now you just need to find usss ssome where to go.” Said Kalder. “Yes your right and I think I have a lead. RDA intelligence has told me more about where I got beaten before. Its Called the Distant Stars Sector, and there is word that the TEC and Trade Order has little or no say over Humans living there. A company called the United Explorers used to own one of the path's there but there breaking up due to some kind of internal conflict but there path is still heavily defended . There are other ways there. So I'm going to go find out what and where they are.” Said Oranos “Yourr going yourr sssself?” Asked Kalder. “Yes this is en emergency the TEC has-int come for us yet but they will and there's no way our fleets can stop them.” Said Oranos grimly. “Yourr rright we can't. Ssso go find usss a new home my friend. I will make surree we are rready to go when you find it.” Said Kalder. “Thank you. Now to go.” Said Oranos as he got up and left.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------A week later-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deep in Trader Space, Oranos heads into the core planets of the Yitobav System. Disguised as a small time trader from the fringe worlds he docks at a hanger bay of a nearby trade station. He exits his ship and heads over to a computer terminal to start looking up known smugglers and pirates in the region. Several names appear and as he scrolls down the list briefly noting their records, his eye catches the wording 'former military service'. Stopping to read more detailed information, he finds what he's looking for. A person he can possibly turn to for help. The problem is, the records are incomplete at best. He leaves with a name, and a last known location. Back on his ship, he plots a course to take him to 'The Hub'. Weeks ago it was the center of an extremely busy trade network spanning several systems until it's owner showed up and split the routes up and sold everything off. Now it's just like all of the other localized trade networks, more interested in bringing in high profits for the local systems at the expense of it's neighbors, and only having a fraction of it's former reach. The trip didn't take long, and Oranos was soon looking at a large star base fully equipped with trade facilities surrounded by a half dozen more trade stations. Figuring he's in the right place, he docks at the star base and begins soliciting for information on it's former owner. A couple station officers stop him and offer to tell him everything they know for a small price. Having his back against the wall and needing the information quickly, he pays them off and gets what he wants. He's told that their former boss decided to relocate to the new hotbed of activity. A region of space called the Distant Stars. The battle lines there are constantly fluctuating and the opportunities to take advantage of more then just one group are considerably larger. Oranos thanks them for their help and as he's walking away, one of them tells him that there's a catch. Turning back he can see that the other has his hand extended as if to say it'll cost him more money. Taking the obvious hint, he passes over more credits and is told that to get there he has to use the wormholes that were discovered and is handed a holopad displaying the locations of them. Oranos thanks them again after copying their locations and heads back for home. The two begin to laugh as they walk away knowing they they neglected to inform him of yet one more important piece of information... Who you have to go through to get through the wormholes. As he leave's in his trade ship Oranos hack's the Star Base's Computer's using a nanobots unlink and finds a little more information on a man named “Roesh” and a direction, the Ryes wormhole. Just as the star base detects his hack he jumps to phase space.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------thanks gos to Stant123 AKA “Roesh” for his input and for coming up with part of the story for this post.
"Ghost"
-----------------------------------------------
Ithacor Asteroid belt, A forgotten system located in the Distant Stars sector. The system once contained seven relic planets, each planet capable of supporting life but there were none. Within the last decade the young sun had become rather unstable and volatile. Solar flares, gamma burst and violent magnetic fluctuations tore apart each planet within the system one by one leaving behind nothing but a mass clustered rocks. One planet some how managed to survive the event and ironically enough, its the planet closest to the sun. That planet was nicknamed Mirage. Little is known about this planet except aside from seeing the planet with your very own eyes, it does not exist in the eyes of sensors or even Advent minds. Slamming the console in front of her. "Damn it, tell me we have some good news for once on our progress here!" Said the captain. Walking over to the scanners, the information she was receiving were gibberish. "Oh yes and punching the console is going to make it all work. Look, nothing has changed. I've reconfigured our scanner matrix and still nothing. I've even rerouted our power to max out our scanner output but its still no good." Replied a female crew member. "I've never seen anything like this before" "The best technology one can steal, salvage and buy on this ship and we cant even get a basic scan on a freaking planet." Shaking her head, she moved over to the forward display as it showed an image of the planet floating in front of the blue star. "According to reports from previous ships, it is as if the planet doesn't exist. No successful scans of the planets interior or exterior. The planet just seems to reflect everything...." said the female crew member with concern. "Well, its there and its definitely not a sensor glitch." Reading the captains log of a trader ship that had attempted to land on the planet for repairs but was destroyed mysteriously before it could even get close. "Ships have attempted to land on that planet before but didn't even make it within the upper layer of the planets atmosphere." "Too bad, I was looking forward to making us a nice picnic basket." Said another female crew member walking onto the bridge toward the pilots seat. "If it's anything like what you made last time, I'd rather take my chances eating Vasari food." said the captain with a laugh. "Ha ha ha, just be thankful I havent poisoned you and taken your ship dumping your corpse in space." replied the female pilot with a smirk. "Ill keep that in mind next time its your turn to cook dinner. Now...lets get back to the matter at hand." Entering in a few coordinates into the system, the ship calculated the next optimal location to drop another defense node. Moments later a pod was launched from ship, further expanding its defense grid. "We have been here for a week, do we even know if what is on that planet is worth our time and effort?" asked the female crew member. "Wouldn't the TEC, Advent or even Vasari have done something about this planet already." "Look at what happened to the other planets of this system, this planet remained intact and invisible to all ship sensors. I doubt something like that is of natural occurrence. There is something down there on that planet that is doing this and I will find out what it is." replied the captain. ~Captain, my calculations are complete and there is a massive solar flare due to erupt within the next 36 hours along the northern pole of the sun. The planet orbit will take it through the flare. If calculations are correct, this even should provide a window of opportunity for us.~ Announced the ship AI. "Bring it up on screen." asked the captain. ~On screen~ The screen showed a large flare shot out from the blue star before arching back into the sun. The planet Mirage orbiting the sun moved directly into the path of the flare. The planet simply shrugged off the impact of the flare as it bent around the planet. The computer immediately zoomed into the southern part of the planet highlighting a fluctuation in the atmosphere. "Looks like we just got ourselves a invitation." ~Course has already been locked, countdown to the flare has been initiated.~ "Think you can handle taking the ship safely down onto the planet?" Asked the captain to the pilot. ~Yes, I would like to remain in one piece if possible.~ "Don't worry, this is what I'm good at." replied the pilot as she reviewed the course and data. "Good, until its time to move we need to remain undetected. Anything from the Advent fleet that had followed us?" said the captain. ~Long range sensors detect no ships in range. Including the Advent.~ "Excellent, make sure it remains that way. Until then, I'll be in my quarters. Alert me if anything new develops." ~Acknowledged, Captain Miyuki.~ With that she stood from her seat and gave her crew a nod before heading to her quarters. Once in her room she removed her clothes tossing them onto the bed in front of her. Moments later she was in the shower. With the warm water against her skin, she ran her fingers through her hair. Closing her eyes she let out a sigh, image of the flagship that followed her flashed through her mind. "Why does it have to be you..."
(Personal / DS) The remnants of the fleet return to the Finley system. The ships scatter and head to predetermined repair bays. Todd get's on the comms and authorizes all ships to be upgraded with new systems as the retrofits take place. Casey heads out to check on her refineries as soon as she finds a transport that'll be headed by one. Roesh heads on down to the surface of Finley 1 to talk to Henry about everything that just happened and hash out some ideas on what should be done next. Tim heads back to the military moon in orbit of Finley 4 to oversee the prisoner transfers. "Got some good news for you." Henry says as soon as he sees Roesh enter his office. "Oh? I got some not so good news for you." Roesh replies. "We were visited by Lord Ryat's friend, Lord J'rah. He gave us these." Henry states as he holds up the two cylinders full of nanites. Roesh stares for a couple seconds, "Large paper weights with crystal and ore in them?" "NO!" Henry says with a laugh. "Okay, then what?" "Nanites." "Nanites?" "Yes, nanites for Casey's division. We just take a little bit out to each mining site, sprinkle them over the veins we find and they help separate the valuables from the rocks." "Nice. Does Casey know we have these?" "Not yet. I figured we should get together and see a little test run to evaluate their effectiveness with our operations." "I agree. What was the cost to us?" "Short term. Nothing. Long term, half of the increase in production." "Okay, so we need to start having Casey's department start taking careful notes on just how much they're pulling out of the asteroids so that we have data to present as a before snapshot before we use these things widespread... Speaking of widespread, how is it we only need to sprinkle a little bit over each vein?" "They self replicate. They also destroy themselves when they're tasked with anything besides mining the appropriate mineral. So no weaponizing them." "Perish the thought." "Yeah, I'm sure you weren't thinking of that just now." Henry says with a bit of annoyance in his voice. "No reason why we can't study them, right?" "I don't see why not." "So let's divide these up in the mean time, make sure every research station get's a small amount and do what it takes to let them replicate themselves up in preparation for wide-scale deployment if we see favorable results." "I'll have an aide get on that. What's Casey off doing?" "She headed out to her operations to check in and see what's happened while we were out. We took a beating out there again Henry." "So I suppose Todd and Tim are going to be real busy for a couple days." "Yeah, we also have quite a few new guests with us." "And I suppose a whole new set of problems." Roesh links Henry's computer to one of the capital ships computers and downloads the data recorded during the operation. Henry watches as they find all of Setsuna's fleet, the marines taking control of the ships. The engineers and medics doing everything they can to restore operations to the ships and revive the crews. He hears the transmissions between Tim and Roy, and watches as the battle unfolds. "No doubt they're going to blame the entire thing on us..." Henry states. "Yeah, they always do. They fired first and boarded without permission. I don't blame Tim for defending his fleet." "I don't either, but this looks bad. Us fighting one of the power houses in the area." "If it comes to it, and people start getting pissed at us, we just show the video of them firing their demo bots on us and forcing their way onto all of the ships. Let who ever is mad decide for themselves who was in the wrong. Personally, I think we need to start paying more attention to these other guys out here and start mining our own data on them rather then just looking up what we can on the data network." "I'll leave that one up to you Roesh, you're the one who tracked front line fleet movements for the TEC and infiltrated pirate networks. I just fought the battles I was ordered to fight." "Yeah, I'll make some calls and get the ball rolling on that one. For now though, let's go take some of these to Casey." Roesh says as he opens up the tubes and sniffs the air to see if they have an odor of any kind. "They use different kinds for medical purposes." Henry adds as he locates Casey. "She's currently en route to Liam." "Off we go. Our girl should be excited to see these." They take a small sample out of each container to take with them and hand the rest off to a staff worker with instructions to distribute them around the system like they discussed before heading off to meet up with Casey at the asteroid Liam. They use the faster back route and Henry gets to see the damage done to the ships as they pass by most of them catching up to Casey. Henry and Roesh continue to discuss their options on how to go forward from there during the trip. They arrive at the refinery orbiting the asteroid and find Casey waiting for them just outside the hanger bay. "Got a present for you while you were away." Henry states as Roesh hands her the containers. She looks at them closely not really sure what to do with them until she figures out what they're are and grins widely. "Vasari mining nanites!" Henry laughs, "She's definitely smarter then you, buddy!" "Yeah, but I'm older and wiser." "Oh yeah, forgot to tell you. Swiped this data off of Setsuna's ship." Casey says as she hands Roesh a data disk. "What's on it?" Roesh asks as he takes it from her. "A list of Advent techs and orbital structure schematics. I believe Todd was busy grabbing every bit of data he could on their ships." she replies. Henry chuckles again. "Well you were right about being older, looks like the wiser part can be debated now." Casey smiles and salutes. "What are we doing with these?" Henry answers her, "Lord J'rah paid us a visit and made a deal that we get to have these in exchange for half of our production increase." "So I suppose you want my numbers since we stabilized production?" "Yes, but we're only going to use these in a small test setting first." Henry states. "Sounds good. Let's use them on the Savannah moon first to see what the raw increase is, then try them here to see how they increase production in a refinery setting." Casey says. "Sounds like a plan." Roesh concludes. They grab some gear and some station personnel to specifically oversee the project and head to the Savannah moon over Finley 4. The people are briefed and instructed to be as detailed as possible in their notes since they'll be shared with J'rah and they're not entirely sure how well the nanites will adapt to TEC mining operations. The initial test start up is interrupted when Roesh receives a priority message from Lord Ryat. The message detailed his and Xenon's conversation about what had just happened in Russundova. Roesh sends a message back to Ryat. ~We're going to deal with this unfortunate situation as soon as we can, Admiral. Don't worry about Kyrene, we haven't met anyone from there, nor have we actively sought any contact with anyone. Russundova for us was purely a rescue operation until Xenon's overzealous fleet fired on us and forced their way onto our ships. Tim did what he had to do to defend our ships, and if Xenon feels that we're making inroads with the Advent, then maybe he needs to take some time to evaluate his actions a little better. From where we're standing, he's forcing us to be allies by attacking us both. I'm sure Tim's busy right now trying to get a hold of someone from UE's Fleet Division to figure out what our next step is. Good to hear from you and we'll have to get together soon so I can buy some starbase equipment off of you like we discussed the last time we talked shop.~ Roesh attaches the data from the ships so he can watch it and decide for himself.
I'm going to post again as soon as I can... Been sort of busy recently.

"Why do you continue to deal with these smooth skin creatures is beyond me," Lord Vilk said in a demeaning tone, "the fact that they have pulled this treachery shows that they are unworthy of the stars. We here in the council demand action. Take this fleet that we are building and smash this Draak's fleet into dust and reclaim those planets. And take whatever humans that have stayed around as slaves." Lord J'rah sighed to himself as he kept his back to the lord and looked out into the gravwell of Portage VII. The J'kar clan's industry was at full bore here now, building many frigates and cruisers. With the new influx of materials from RFT there had even been two new capital ships laid down, a Kortul and a Antorak. The Kostura Cannon with its odd fitting orbited nearby. The fleet that was being built was for the attack on Kyrene. This collection of Advents had shown themselves to be nothing more than vicious warmongers that wished to exterminate anything that wasn't like them. They had to be stopped and this artifact that they had had to be taken away. Besides Draakjacht had fought with honor many times, to do this was unthinkable in J'rah's mind. And yet the political dogs had to be fed some how. He turned back around to face his opponent. "I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation that is at hand. If we were to just out right attack Admiral Draakjacht, all of his allies, including Lord Ryat, would come down on our heads. They not only outnumber us, but much of our resources comes from them. They hold the upper hand!" Lord J'rah said, "We must move cautiously." "So what do you plan on doing?" asked Lord Ano. Lord Ano unlike Lord Vilk understood the need to work with the humans and even respected them, but he to was having difficulty in dealing with this recent occurance. And since Lord Ano controlled a strong portion of the Council that was favorable to J'rah's plans, he did deserve an answer, and a good one at that. "Most likely I will allow them to have the planets, just with some stiff penalties for breaking the deal," Lord J'rah said as he seated himself in his chair. Lord Ano nodded his head, though looked somewhat disappointed. Lord Vilk scowled. "Well My Lord," Lord Ano began, "That's not what we want, but I agree, its what we are going to get. If that is what you have to do to keep the J'kar clan alive, then so be it. I believe our time here is done." "Thank you lords for hearing me out," Lord J'rah said, "Hopefully this will help you understand why we are doing what we are doing." All three exchanged pleasentries and Lord Ano and Lord Vilk left with their aids. Lord J'rah sat in his chair thinking. His advisors came in while he mussed over the conversation. "So how do you think that went?" he asked. "We are walking a thin line my lord," said V'laph his senior advisor, "Lord Ano may get most of his allies to work with us but Lord Vilk will do his best to become an even bigger block and may sway enough votes in the Council to override certain issues." "Though the more important issues will pass," J'ilk mentioned, "but it will be close." "I guess it will be enough," Lord J'rah sighed, "Any news on this Thenos Advent person?" "He seems like a reasonable human," Sliventra his intel chief reported, "Recommend going ahead with contact." "Okay," Lord J'rah said, "Guess I will make another trip to Roesh and ask him for help to set up a contact. What next on the agenda?" Lord Vilk shifted nervously in his seat as his shuttle carefully docked with the mysterious shuttle. He didn't want to meet with this person but Lord J'rah had left him no choice. Something had to be done to save J'kar clan or they would forever be pawns of these useless smooth skinned aliens. The shuttles finished connecting and the hatch opened. "Come," a voice commanded from the opening. Lord Vilk's guards shifted nervously, then froze. "Don't worry about your servants," the voice said, "they will remember nothing." Lord Vilk got out of his seat and entered the darkened shuttle. Inside a figure sat in the shadows. "So how did the meeting go?" the voice asked. "Just like you said it would go," he answered, "he has become a pawn for the humans. He cares nothing for the Vasari and our ways." "Indeed it is sad when one leaves one's roots like that," the voice said soothingly. "And sadly there is nothing I can do about it," Lord Vilk continued, "My political power is not strong enough to stop him from doing what he will." "That is alright," the voice said, "We will just have to try a different tactic." And the voice outlined the plan carefully while Lord Vilk listened carefully though horrified. "But that...that would lead..." he stuttered. "Yes it would," the voice said cutting him off, "but it must be done. Lord J'rah must be forced to view his allies as enemies and this is the way to do it." Lord Vilk nodded his head. "Yes that is true," he said sadly, "but the cost..." "Is of no concern," the voice said harshly "Now go and do this, or your clan will suffer." Lord Vilk bowed quickly and left the darkened shuttle. The release on his servants and guards was removed and his shuttle left quickly. Onboard the mysterious shuttle the figure emerged from the shadows as it began to move out revealing the High Psintegrat. "Yes you old fool," she said chuckling, "run off to betray all that you know. And Ryat, Carbon, and Xenon will be in my little trap. And I will have the White Impulse for myself." Her laughter echoes in the small shuttle.

3 Day's later The Ryes Wormhole
Oranos arrives at the Wormhole in his trade ship and asks to speak to the person in charge. He was granted permission to dock with the Star Base and was taken to the commanders office.
“So mister Oranos was it? What is it you needed to talk to me so urgently for?” The Star Base Commander asked.
“A business offer. I have come representing a group of people that would like to use this Wormhole.” Said Oranos as he sat down.
“Any one can use the Wormhole the defenses are for protection from an attack from the Advent or Vasari.” said the Commander.
“Very true but my people don't wish for any one to know they came thou here. There are people who wish to find us and we don't wish to be found. So if they come here asking about us we hope you could see fit to send them on there way. A way far from where we went.” Said Oranos.
“I'll have to ask Lord Ryat but I'm sure something can be arranged but how many ship's and how often are we talking?” He asked.
“ just once one way in to Distant Star's” Said Oranos
“That's fine but if your only going thou once its only a few ships right? Why would we need to tell any one looking for you that we even saw you?” He asked.
“Around 1300 ships.” Said Oranos.
“1300 SHIPS!?!?!?” He said as he dropped his coffee.
“You see why we need some one to say we went another way. Thou to ease your mind around 950 of the ships will not be combat ships” Said Oranos.
“Your not joking are you? 1300 ship's, we mite be able to work something out but it will cost you to keep 1300 ships coming thou quite.
“The Gross income of a Star system for one cycle. 25% now 25% when our ships arrive and the rest when we are safely on the other side.” Said Oranos.
“Well that's definitely enough but I will still need to speak to Lord Ryat about it.”Said the Commander.
“Two more things thou. One ½ the ships are Vasari. So I hope that's not a problem is it?” Asked Oranos as he smiled.
“No it probability wont be a issue whats the second thing?” Asked the Commander.
“I need to speak to a man called Roesh. I herd Lord Ryat may know how I could reach him.” Said Oranos.
“We will see. I will ask Lord Ryat about it.” Said the Commander.
“I'll wait here then as you ask him I need to know the answer before I head back.” Said Oranos.
“That's fine but it will take a few hours at least.” he said.
“Ok I'll be on my ship contact me when you have a reply.” Said Oranos.
“alright.” Said the Commander. Then Oranos got up and left.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Hours later on Oranos Trade ship.
BEEEP! BEEEP! BEEEP!
The Ship comm's beeped. Oranos got up from his Book. He walked over to the comm and sat down before answering it.
“Yes Commander do you have an answer yet?” Asked Oranos.
“Yes I do Lord Ryat say's yes to your offer.” He said.
“Wonderful what of my question about Roesh?” Oranos asked.
“Lord Ryat say's you may have the contact info for the Roesh Free Trader's. After you have Payed in full.” Said the Commander.
“Great I'll tell my people. I'll transfer the first payment. I'm leaving for Home now. See you soon.” Said Oranos as he powered up his ship.
“Good to do business with your Mr Oranos see you soon.” Said the Commander.
Oranos Trade ship Jumped to phase space and headed for home.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8 Hours later.
Oranos trade ship emerged from phase space at Mellonos and headed in system. Once at Carta he docked with the station and walked to Kalder's office.
“ Kalder.” Oranos Said as he walked in and sat down. “I'm back call Shara I want to know whats happened wile I was gone.” Said Oranos.
Kalder waked over to the comm and called for Shara before siting down himself. Ssso how did it go?”. Asked Kalder.
“Great I found us a way to Distant Star's and Some one that may help us called Roesh. Bad news we may have to take a new home from Advent or Anti Human Vasari there, but we may find a uninhabited system its 50/50. Its the best I could do.” Said Oranos just as Shara walked in.
“Oranos your back how did it go?” She asked.
“Hessss Found usss sssome wherrre to go and sssome one that may help.” Said Kalder.
“That's Great Sir and construction is all most fished.” Said Shara as she sat down.
“Good how many ships?” Oranos Asked.
“343 combat ships , 4 Kortul, 2 Skirantra, 2 Antorak, 2 Vulkoras, 1 Jarrasul, 2 Kol, 1 Akkan, 1 Sova, 1 Dunov, 1 Marza, 10 Karrastua, 10 Sivskras, 10 Serevun, 10 Jikara, 10 Percheron, 10 Ogrov, 10 Krosov, 10 Kodiak, 10 Cielo, 10 Hoshiko, 10 Raloz, 10 Arcova, 30 Ravastra, 30 Junsurak, 30 Kanrak, 30 Garda, 30 Cobalt, 30 LRM that's our combat fleet all other ships where scraped for parts even the Hoshiko overseer's.” Said Shara.
“We had to we needed thous parts for the Cyro pods.” Said Oranos.
“Yourr rrright but itsss ssstill a sshame we worrked ssso hard on it.” said Kalder.
“True but its better this way we can't let the trade order know we can do that kinda stuff or they will hunt us for ever.” Said Oranos.
“Trrue if they knew we can combine Vasari and Human tech they would hunt usss for the knowledge.” Said Kalder.
“I want all of the info about thous ships destroyed we can let them know we had them me and Kalder came up with it once we can again from scratch if need be.” Said Oranos
“Yes Sir I understand” Said Shara.
“ We have enough ships for fighting but what of the people how are the other ships coming?” Asked Oranos.
“435 Protev Colony ships and 523 Jarun Migrator's are under construction. That's 958 ships. Almost all of them are done. With the Cyro modifications they can hold 10 times the number of people normally on one. That's enough for every one thou some are not modified so they can set up colony's as needed.” Said Shara.
“Very good Kalder any word on when the Trade Order will come for us?” Asked Oranos.
“Unfortunately yesss your intelligence people have all come home they have word the TEC will be herrre with 4 battle fleet'sss sssoon. They arre waiting on one person to rrreturn with the info on when.” Said Kalder.
“So we need to be Ready for them any time.” Said Oranos.
“Yesss it would sssem ssso.” Said Kalder.
“How is the deconstruction of all our orbital Structures.” Asked Oranos.
“Very well Sir we have them all down but for the Star bases guarding the star. The 2 phase gates and the Kostura Cannon as ordered. We have set the Cannon to over lode and explode if fired. Deconstruction of the city's is slower but coming along. We are moving people to the ships as fast as we can we have nanite's deconstructing uninhabited city's so even if we wont finish before we go they will for us.” Said Shara.
“Great send one of the Antorak's to the Ryes Wormhole Ready to use Stabilize Phase Space when needed. Have them open a node every hour to check in.” Said Oranos.
“Yes Sir.” Said Shara just as there was loud knocking on the door.
“Yessss Come in.” Said Kalder. A ensign rushed in.”Sir's theirs been a message from the intelligence division. The TEC fleet's will be here in 48 hours.” He said.
“Thank you ensign you can go now.” Said Oranos as the ensign walked out and closed the door.
“We need to get people on the ships now move the fleets to the star and get every thing ready we have 48 hours to get every one out safe.” Said Oranos.

(Personal / DS) After the prisoner transfer has been well under way, Tim asks Captain Powley to find out who needs to be contacted about these people and get them to head over here at their earliest convenience for a little face to face sit down. Captain Powley nods, exits the bridge and makes his way to a comm terminal at the broadcast center nearby. Sitting down he begins to bring up information on the UE Corporation. He looks up all of their recent troubles back in Trader Space. The theories presented as to the attackers being Advent, but more importantly, their published chain of command. "Hmmmm... Well it still appears their go to guy in fleet is still Carbon." he mutters to himself. Digging a little further he manages to find out that the UE fleet in the Distant Stars region was actually increased by Iron's appearance, rather then it's forces diminished after the attack so close to their home. Captain Powley sends a quick message to Tim updating him with the new information he's just found out. After that he sets up a broadcast aimed at Portage. The message simply requests that Admiral Carbon of the Unified Explorers Corporation contact the Roesh Free Traders as soon as he has the time and included a frequency for a secure connection. Much to his surprise, it only takes a few minutes to get a response. "This is Carbon, who am I speaking to?" he asked. "Robert Powley, sir. Captain of the Roesh Free Traders battleship Foe Hammer." "Okay, what's this about?" "We're hoping you can enlighten us on some of your recent fleet activity." "You're going to have to be a little more specific. We've had a lot of recent activity." "Okay, basically we answered a distress call in Russundova. Nearing the end of the operation, some ships belonging to Xenon showed up and opened fire on us." Carbon laughed, "Really? Please continue." "Well, long story short, a lot of ships were lost and a lot of people died needlessly." "I'd have to agree with you there." "My superiors are a bit curious as to why we were fired on when we've so far not done anything except create a supply hub and help out whenever asked." "I may have to get back to you on that if you want a detailed answer. All I can say for sure is that right now, Xenon's a little more then upset with the Advent." "I've been reading about the attacks on your headquarters." "So you can understand why he's acting this way..." "Not really sir. I believe this whole situation could have been avoided had his men at least tried to tell us any reason at all as to what they were really there for rather then telling us they're doing a safety check and then when in range, basically attacking unprovoked." "I suppose you handled yourselves accordingly?" "I'm sure you've read the reports that his ships are no longer responding or showing up on any sensors." "Maybe..." "At any rate, sir, we have all of the survivors from the conflict housed in our system. When you've got some free time, we'd like to have you and Xenon come here so we can come to some sort of understanding." "What kind of understanding?" "To be honest, how come your intelligence officer is failure." Carbon's face shows clear signs of being upset by that comment. "I don't think he's a failure and you'd be wise to refrain from ever saying that again." he states coldly. "My apologies, sir, but it's the truth. Had he done even the slightest bit of his job, he'd have known we're directly supporting your allies. I know he's pretty pissed at the Advent, but there again, had he even bothered to do his job, he'd have known that the only Advent we have any kind of an agreement in place with is an Advent offshoot that is opposed to the current regime in the most complete of ways. Their destruction would be our ally's pleasure. And to further that argument, the Advent we were assisting are actually former TEC members." "I don't get the what that last part has to do with anything..." Carbon says with some annoyance still in his voice. "Former TEC now Advent means they were let down by the powers that be and the Advent offered them what the TEC couldn't. After just doing a little bit of research while sitting here I've dug up all kinds of information on them. I suggest you have your intelligence officer do the same. It'd be wiser to support them and show them that the failures of those in control of their former system aren't problematic throughout the entire organization." "However true as that may be, the UE doesn't follow any orders given by the TEC." "Just like the UE should understand that we won't just blindly obey their orders either." "I understand, nor would I expect you to. However Xenon may feel differently about this then I do. You have his people and he's lost some ships because of you, and honestly, I think he feels a bit slighted that you guys never introduced yourselves to us." "Didn't know there was a policy in place like that..." "There isn't but it would have been nice." "Well, from what I understand, my superiors came here because they're business associates of Lord Ryat's, and a few hints were dropped that moving our operations here could earn the company better profits then running anti-piracy operations back in Trader Space. Our first actual contract here was initiated by our Advent friends. Our second contract was initiated by your allies out here lead by Admiral Draakjacht, and our newest contract if I read the briefing correctly was initiated by Ryat's allies lead by Lord J'rah. This past operation was actually our second attempt and initiating contact rather then just receiving it, and you guys came in shooting... This conversation is only our third attempt at initiating contact, so forgive my bluntness sir, but if I knew I was going to get my way, I'd say you guys are the one's who have a lot of apologizing to do." "I don't think so. You may have gotten one had you let Xenon's men do what they were ordered to do." "Sir, if he had told us what his real intentions were, we might have, however saying he's there for a safety check and then destroying our ship's engines with demo bots killing the crews at their stations is an extremely unorthodox method of checking safety." "If they were safer they wouldn't have been killed..." "A valid point, one that we're addressing, one could argue that we initiated a safety check of our own and found flaws. "I suppose you could." "Requesting that we hold our positions could be equally as effective as destroying engines, plus it has the added bonus of not getting anyone killed." "Interesting. I'll have to add that to my notes so I'll know to use that tactic in the future." "Please don't do that sir..." "Do what? I'm just agreeing with you... What was your first reaching out attempt?" "Admiral Draakjacht. He had a demand for resources and we had the supply. We had a demand for technology, they had the supply. Simple law of economics dictated that we could get the most by dealing with them rather then going through Ryat." "Oh, a civics lesson on top of tactical operations. Thank you." "Sir..." "Oh lighten up, I'm just teasing you. I really have to get going, but tell your superiors we'll be in touch." "Of course, sir." Carbon makes a gun out of his hand and says "Peeew" as he fires it at Powley and then cuts the comm connection. Powley, not really having anything to do for the moment leaves another message for Tim stating that Carbon will be in touch soon. He goes back to looking up as much as he can and placing some calls back to his contacts in Trader Space to get as much information as he can on the UE corporation.
