Its us again! Here to bring you yet another exciting community topic!!!!
This topic is dedicated to any stories, lore, epic poems, novels, Role Playing...anything your heart desires to share!!!
We are always up for a good read and are excited to see what you all create from DS.
We will be featuring hopefully some neat post in this orginal post every so often. Maybe be something we liked or we though it need attention! So, aim your Ogrov at that writers block and get your fingers typing!
There aren't any rules, but we do have some guidelines to follow so that we all can participate and enjoy ourselves.-There is really no limit on what you post just as long as it is Distant Stars related.-Most members are participating in a single large story with the occasional side story or two. While this thread is certainly not limited to just that story, for the benefit of all readers and participants, please begin your post with how we're supposed to handle it. (Personal Story) (DS RP) (Trader Space) Examples of this can be found all throughout the thread or by looking at this post. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/21/#2596003 This will help us all out by letting us know if you're trying to set yourself up to join the main lore, if you plan on just telling your own story, or if you're just writing lullabies for children to sing before they go to bed.-While we don't expect you to 'Play the game' in your stories, we do ask that you keep any liberties that you take be grounded within the game. For example: Talking about your space marines invading another ship is not something the game covers, so feel free to be inventive on how it would happen. However, carrying point singularity rifles that open up little black holes is beyond the scope of the game and will not be allowed. Soldiers with phasic armor that prevents them from being wounded let alone even being hit, while being relevant to the technology in the game would also not be allowed. The point is to be fair to the other people. We encourage you to ask yourselves, would this work in the game, and how would I feel if someone used this on me? If You feel strongly that it would work and you'd be okay with it being used against you, then by all means, use it. Fantasy posting, dream sequences, and April Fool's postings are of course, immune from this guideline.-We highly encourage you to message other members for help or advice. There is a TeamSpeak channel that is frequently used by the regulars to talk issues out or just shoot the breeze behind the scenes. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of these resources. Also, 'regulars' may send you messages with suggestions, concerns, or advice. It's nothing personal, so please do not be offended, they're just trying to help keep the lore consistent within these guidelines. If there's any doubt at all about anything, just message one of the people who you see posting a lot. If they don't know, they'll pass your message along to someone who does or tell you who you need to talk to.-It is also highly recommended that you message other RPers before posting anything involving their stuff. If you don't, you're likely going to find all of DS rising up against you.-In an effort to reduce clutter, we're asking that Out Of Character (OOC) commenting be either sent to the individual for whom it is intended by using the private message feature, or take it to another thread. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/366762 is a thread frequented by many of the lore writers and random comment posting about anything under the sun is highly encouraged there as well in an attempt to get the thread locked. Enjoy.

They're very helpful when trying to figure out where to go and who you're likely going to run into when you get there. Maps of individual systems are posted throughout the thread. They're generally posted by the first person to explore the system. If you don't know if a system has been explored or not or want to see a map of a system that has been explored, ask around via PM or TeamSpeak. Someone will point you to the place.-Character Biographies- https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372058/page/11/#2532380This post is a general collection of the main RP characters whom you will likely have contact with. We ask that all people posting in the main lore post their main character(s) bio as soon as possible so that the rest of us have a little background on who your character is, how they like to fight, where do they come from, and why they're there. Read the existing bios for examples on what we're looking for.

Lord Ryat studied the system hologram carefully, making sure of any small details he missed. The latest intel report he had received, it was his own intel network which was far superior to TECs, told him that his diversion tactics had worked as planned. The pirate attack in the Ario system had been very successful drawing off the two Motherships is the need to recolonize and rebuild the system. The Vasari attack by J'rah in the Quian system had pulled off a good portion of the fleet protecting the Eras system leaving only 2 Radiance battleships, 2 Halycons carriers, 2 Revelation battlecruisers with 75 Illuminators, 50 Aeria Drone Hosts and 30 Disciples, a starbase, no intel on build but he had a theory, with several hangar defense to defend the system. He had three fleets coming. The primary attack fleet or Fleet 1.1 was 4 Kols, 2 Dunovs, 1 Marza and 30 Hoshikos and 50 Kodiaks, 25 Gardas, 10 Ceilos. The secondary fleet, Fleet 1.2, consisted of 4 Sovas, 2 Dunovs, 50 Percheron carriers, 20 Orgovs, 30 Javelis, 25 Gardas. The support fleet, Fleet 1.3, was 2 Akkans, 4 Dunovs and 50 Hoshikos, 25 Gardas. He smiled to himself as he looked over all the projections and intel. This should be a successful attack.
Fleet 1.1 was the first to exit phase space and quickley formed up with the Kols in the frontline with the Kodiaks hovering in the wings, the Marza and supports crusiers were in the middle line with Dunovs bringing up the rear. The formation turned towards the enemy formation with the Radiances, Revelations, Disciples, and Illuminators, careful to avoid the range of the Starbase. Fleet 1.2 appeared quickly and setup around the edge of the gravwell with the Orgovs carefully manuvering into position to attack the starbase. Fleet 1.3 appeared last and followed Fleet 1.1. The Halycon/Aeria Drone fleet hung in close to the starbase. Quickly it launched the fighters and bombers at the Orgovs in hopes of stopping the attack.
Lord Ryat laid in the battle seat that kept him secure in an amoured shell, examining the hologram map as the fleets began to close with each other to begin the battle. "Anything on that starbase yet?" he asked.
"Still crunching the numbers My Lord, but we are only detecting soft Psitech traces so I dont think there are any Psitech abilities on it," his intel officer responded. Lord Ryat smiled as his theory proved to be true.
"Good, tell Fleet 2 to begin their attack," he said, "Anything on the Holy Avenger?" The intel shook her head.
"Negative My Lord," she said. Lord Ryat sighed, well that was annoying but no game changing. He punched up the comm line.
"Yes My Lord?" the captain responded.
"Yes Captain, I would like you to position the Phoenix a little bit more forward to make itself a target," he said, "We need to draw out the Holy Avenger." The captain did not bat an eye, being a veteran of many battles with Lord Ryat at the helm. He knew Lord Ryat's tendency to lead from the front and to take risks, smart risks.
"Yes My Lord," the captain said, "Will have the Adaptive Force Shield ready at your command." Lord Ryat thanked him and refocused on the system map, focusing on the Fleet Beta 1 that held the 2 Radiance Battleships. One of them had the Cleansing Brilliance weapon on it but he was not sure. So he had set himself up as bait for it.
The range between the two fleets closed rapidly. As for the Fleet Beta 2, its SC had started to come into attack range of Fleet 1.2 whose fighters and gunships launched and and began to engage the Advent drones. The drones died enmass and was further hindered as the Gardas opened up with their guns, as the Orgovs began to launch their missiles at the Starbase which did not respond as it did not have the range. Fleet 1.3 had moved to an upper right position just above Fleet 1.1. It was not even noticed by the enemy.
"He'll fire at maximum range to get as much effect as possible before I can hit him with an EMP blast," Lord Ryat said redirecting his comments back to the captain on the comm. "So we need to activate the Shield the moment he fires." The range reached the critcal point and Lord Ryats prophecy came true as one of the Radiances fired a massive brilliant white beam that struck the Phoenix Kol. The ship quickly brought up its Adaptive Force Shield to mitigate the damage as the standard shields struggled to compensate for the massive damage. The Pheonix shook for a moment longer until a Dunov, Misty Flight, fired off its EMP blast. The Holy Avenger stopped firing for a moment. Lord Ryat pounced.
"All Kols fire at will!" he called over the fleet comm. All four Kols fired off their Guass Cannons which smashed into the Holy Avenger dropping its shields to nothing. The beams upon the Kols opened up and the Radiances staggered as 16 powerful beams of energy smashed into its armor. "All ships fire upon assigned targets!" Lord Ryat ordered again, "Attack at will."
The Kodiaks opened up with their thrusters sending them flying quickly into the mass of Illuminators and Disciples followed by most of the Hosikos whose Demolition Bots swarmed forth into the fleet disabling many of the Advent frigates. EWS bombers kept the range on the Illuminators short so that they only could target the Kodiaks which handled their attacks with ease, their own attacks ripping apart many of fragile frigates. The Akkans in Fleet 1.3 opened up with Ion bolts upon the Revelation Battlecruisers knocking them out of the fight while the Dunovs cycled between Flux Field and EMP blasts wrecking havoc upon the shields of the Advent. The Holy Avenger died a fiery death under the guns of the Kols as they and the Marza shifted to upon the other Radiance Battleship as it valiantly strove to fight back. It died quickly.
Fleet 1.2 had successfully dropped the Starbase, it apperently was built for economy with trade ports and Max Allegience Improvements and not much for combat, and had changed up the mix of its SC, with the Sovas sending out their Elite Bombers screaming in at the Halycons with escort fighters from the Percherons following on their heels keeping the figher drones at bay. The Dunovs fired off their EMP blasts, sucking the Anti-Matter on board the Halycons away to stop the Telekintec Push. The first Halycon died violently as the Javelis' opened up on the Aeria Drone Hosts slaughtering them with Cluster Warheads.
Fleet 1.1 was now in the thick of Fleet Beta 1, or what was left of hit, with the Kols firing all weapons upon any target of oppertunity with impunity. The Revelation Battlecruisers tried to escape but the Akkans Ion Bolts kept them down as the Marza picked off one, then the other as the Advent fleets shattered before Lord Ryat's fleets. As the debris settled and the mop up continued by small task forces, Lord Ryat turned his eyes upon the golden desert planet of Eras.
"Begin bombardment," he said, his eyes a cold gray flame, "Wipe them witches out, All of them!"
Ideling through the Holovid reports, Half paying attention to any of them, Carbon cant get conversation out of his head. He was right, he always is. Tossing down the reports onto the desk, its time like this...he hate his job. Walking over to the wood locker, pulling out a small glass and a dark bottle. Here is to risk he though, as he downs the liquid from the glass. The intercom buzzes, "Sir...role call is complete. All of the Division is here and ready. Shall we do this?" asked Superior Halogen Barken. "Not yet....its not ready," setting down the bottle and glass, " I do want Green Strike Force to head ahead and keep an ear out for anything. I will be on deck in 20.""Will see you then..." the intercom cut off Barken off. Despite the countless refits and repairs Event had her share of quriks. Smiling at thought of the ship and of Barken. He has been around for so many years now. And depsite the time spent he always seemed formal. Must be all that schooling. "Attention on deck!!!!!" barked guard at the door of the bridge as Carbon walked onto the bridge. None of the officers and bridge command snapped to attention, all gave a curious look as the High Paragon walk in. "Who assigned a new guy to the door?" give a grin as he took a seat. Most of the crew on bridge gave a small laugh. "Ah, Im glad we not lost our sense of humor." Carbon continued " What do we got Barken?""Well sir, Green is already phased. ETA says we will get word back from Jenk in 5 mins or so. Do we want them to be the vanguard?" reported Barken as he was invovled in several screens of information."Not sure yet, I got a feeling Xenon will have more for us when we get there. Lets just hope he does his job. Alrighty lets get going. Tell all Task Force to head to Waypoint 77C. I expect everyone there when the Event gets there. No time to waste."With that said the 5th Carbon Fleet began to dissapper from the grav well. 100's of blue rips into phase space. Within a minute they were gone..... non-stop till Eras.
Why is everyone the TEC against the Advent or Vasari? We need someone to be our enemy lol.
-----------------------------------------------
Lasers flew across the skies over Agammemnon. Ships were linked by beams of light and the trails of missiles flying between the two fleets. On one side autoturrets caused brief bursts of light on the sides of the ships, while on the other the light appeared from the beam weapons firing out of the so called 'Terror of the TEC'. The flagship of Admiral Jak'lya. The Reaviar. The huge Kortul-class ship was wreaking havoc in the midst of the TEC fleet. It currently had numerous sub-groups of the Alpha Fleet under heavy fire and was preventing them from maneuvering. Several ships had already been destroyed trying to escape from the Kortul's deadly fire.
Aboard the Bastion General Veers watched the battle anxiously.
"Group 0-Beta and 6-Gamma concentrate fire on the left flank of the Reviar," Veers commanded. Having already tuned his personal command station to the needs of the fleet Veers gazed at the overall status report. He watched with anticipation as the ships moved to do what he had told them to. Then, on the visual, the groups began firing, 0-Beta with its Javelis' missiles and 6-Gamma with the Kodiaks' close range weapons. Almost immediatly shields began dropping on the Reviar and the left side of the huge ship flashed with explosions and pieces of vaporized metal and debris flying off the battered hull.
"Keep up the firing. Group 4-Osilon get out of range and commence firing on the right flank of the Reviar." Veers brought up the individual stats of the Groups, watching with pride in his crews that only 14 ships had been lost so far compared to 19 of the enemy. There was a brief flash of light on the visual. Make that 20 of the enemy lost, Veers thought.
Looking back at the battle the Reviar had recovered and was now pummeling away at all 3 of the groups attacking it. Elsewhere Veers could see numerous other support craft and capital ships fighting for superiority.
"Captain. Bring the Bastion in range to fire."
"Yes sir," came the reply. "Moving into range now."
"Good. Have the ship load the Rail Gun."
"Yes sir," Kilm said, while logging the order with Communications. Several seconds later the reply was in. "Rail Gun loaded. They await your command General," Kilm relayed.
"Very good. Have them fire at the Reviar once in range. Target the bridge." Veers turned his gaze to the overall battle visual again. It did not look good. The enemy, though having taken early casualties, was starting to beat back Alpha Fleet. Veers knew that it was the Reviar that was providing the necessary coordination of the Vasari forces. Not averting his gaze from the visual Veers asked "Is the Bastion in range of the Reviar Captain?"
Stopping to check the status screen of the Navigation officer the reply came slowly as the Captain checked the incoming stream of data, "Yes sir. We have entered range of the Reviar."
"Good," with the push of a button Veers contacted Central Weapons Control. "Rail Gun fire on my mark at the bridge of the Reviar. Rail Gun: Fire."
On the visual Veers watched the projectile make its way towards the Reviar. Only several seconds after launch the target made contact with its target and promptly blew the whole bridge, and a result the rest of the Reviar, to smithereens. Cheering broke out all across the bridge as the ship lurched forward, its bridge ablaze, and exploded, causing almost 50 nearby Vasari fighters and ships to take critical damage and break apart in the ensuing explosion. Veers knew that now the battle was decided. But he did not see the one thing that could change the whole thing. A single phase missile. Headed directly for the unshielded weapons stores under the bridge. A missile that could, quite literally, be the Reviar's final blaze of glory.
Lord Ryat waited patiently as the prison guard carefully checked over his ID. He didn't mind the wait as the guard was only doing his job. Everyone must be checked before going in to this prison cell, even his Lordship, or there would be severe consequences. The guard was finally satisfied and opened up the first set of doors. Lord Ryat walked in alone. The doors closed and a second set opened up in front of him. He stepped through and they closed behind him. The a third set opened of on a brilliant white room. A soft glow came from all the walls floors and ceilings so as to do away with any shadow that would give a person the perception of depth so the small room looked both infinitely large and small. In the middle of the room sat a woman chained to the a white chair with the tattered remnants of her low order Coalescence robes wrapped around her. She lifted her head at his entrance. The third set of doors closed. The room was designed to contain a Psi wielding person. Lord Ryat pulled out a remote from his pocket and switched of the spying devices. No one can see what was to come next.
As he sat in another white chair in front of the woman, he pulled of his helmet that was also designed to stop the mental power of the Advent. He then pulled out a chocolate bar and upon opening it, broke of a piece and ate it. Feed me NOW! as voice commanded, ringing in his mind. He smiled as its echo faded from his mind.
"So you're hungry, huh?" he asked quietly. The woman looked at him curiously but nodded her head. He broke if off another piece and put it in front of her mouth. Unchain me the voice echoed again in his mind. He smiled, "No, I dont think so." She looked at him in shock. He merely smiled back at her. After a few seconds she leaned forward to take the chocolate with her mouth to which Lord Ryat pulled it back.
"Uh huh" he said quietly, "you didnt say please." Please came a whisper in his mind. "No no," he said waggling his finger at her, "Out loud."
"Please," she pleaded. He extended the chocolate to her mouth which she accepted.
"Suprised by my resistance to your commands?" he asked as she chewed and swallowed the chocolate. She nodded her head at his question. "Well my grandfather was a former Advent, of the highest Coalescence, a rare feat for a male from what I understand. Anyway he left the Unity because he did not like what he was seeing and gave up the Advent way of life." He broke off another piece of chocolate and feed her again before putting the rest in his mouth. He savored the smooth taste for a moments, then brought out another bar.
"See my grandfather left with the agreement that he would never practise any of the Advent works and they would never harm or attack him or his property," he said as he peeled off the wrapper of the second, "He married the Baroness of the High Gryphon and settled there, again being assured that the Advent attacks would not come his direction." He broke off another piece and gave it to her as he ate a second piece. "They lied," he said in a seething voice, "They came through the High Gryphon sector like a raging fire. Me and grandpa were out, looking over some products we were considering to import. The rest of my family, my grandma, parents, " he continued, "my wife, kids, dead, slaughtered, my world that I grew up on, devastated." He broke the rest of the bar in half giving her one piece while he ate the other, pausing a moment in the story.
"My grandfather vowed revenge that day," he said a bit more calmly, "but he knew he could not do it. so he began to train me in the Advent arts. Secretly of course. Many in the TEC would not abide a practiser of the Advent ways even if he was on their side. He died not to long after that, but he taught me much and made sure I had access to the rest to finish my training."
"But he made me promise," he said as he shifted to look at the woman in the eyes, "I would only use my abilities on the Advent and even then only to effect our revenge. And these abilities would die with me." She looked at him with wide eyes as she felt the drug start to course through her veins. He reached forward and grabbed the temples of her head and sent his mental attack into her mind. The drug had weakened her and had left her vunerable as he reached in and began to make changes. Careful changes, ones that would only be seen under the heaviest scrunity and would kill her if found so that they could never track it back to him.
When it was all over, she was unconcious and he was shaking and pale. The task was exhausting. He pulled out a high protien bar and began to eat it as he practise the centering techniques his grandfather had taught him. Time seem to tick away as he calmed himself and allow the food to nourish him. After pulling out the remote and switching on the spying devices he walked over and activated the comm to leave the prison cell. After going through the security, he left the prison area giving orders as he moved over the comm.
"Yes I want all of the prisoners put aboard the two Disciple frigates we found and sent out of the system back to the Advent." He commanded, "Yes I am aware of how that sounds. Just do it."
The Vasari fleet for the J'kar clan entered the grav well for Eras. It was not a big fleet as the J'kar clan was poor, but it was a well experienced fleet with the lead ship J'kartha, a Kortul Devastator, having seen many battles. It was followed by two of the enormous Jarrasul Evacuators, a Skirantra Carrier, and a Vulkoras Desolator. 50 Skarovas Enforcers and 30 Junsurak Sentinels were in tight escort formation around the capital ships. Lord Ryat watched them from the observation window of the newly built starbase. The starbase was massive and built for war with its beam, missile, and laser weapons focused on the Vasari fleet just in case. Most of the Vasari fleet stopped in a stand off position while J'kartha continued on its course to dock at the starbase along side Phoenix, Lord Ryats beloved flagship. Lord Ryat watched a little more than turned and began the trip down to the dock area to greet his guest, Lord J'rah. The honor guard were lined up perfectly with Lord Ryan waiting in the middle as the access tube opened up to reveal Lord J'rah standing 8 feet tall, towering over all the humans. Then his bodyguards and officers began to disembark as he approached Lord Ryat. "Greetingssss, milord," he said with a deep bow. "Greetings, milord," Lord Ryat responded with a similar bow. They both straightened up and proceeded to Lord Ryats office that was somewhere in the station. "And how did the battle go for you," Lord J'rah asked. "It went well," Lord Ryat respond, "we only suffered minor casualities while obliterating the enemy. And you?" "Sadly, not as well as you," the alien said sadly, "though none of our great ships died many of the little ones did, the cost to rebuild will be high, though the world is rich." They continued on until they reached Lord Ryat's office. The the staff of both lords left to do the assigned jobs while they entered the office. Inside the office was spartan has it was newly built. Ryat took a seat on his side as J'rah sat in a specially modified chair for his species. "Where do we go from here?" J'rah asked. "Don't know yet, am still building the intel," Ryat said, "kinda want to build up the fleet a bit more and I'm sure you as well." "Yesss," the alien said shaking its head, "We have not had many good planets since going through that wormhole, unlike yours." The look the alien had was slightly colored with anger but it quickly subsided, "We will need a lot of time to rebuild, and we wish to build some more great ships, which will take more time and resources." "Of course," Ryat said, "Do you need any help?" The alien moved uneasily. "The others do not trust you as well as I," J'rah said, "I'm not sure how much they will let you help." "After all I have done for you people," Ryat grumped, "You all still don't trust me." "Well you humans are at war with us, so we do not understand why you would help us," the alien said matter a factly. Ryat nodded his head in understanding. "Well to be honest," he said, "The idea is the enemy of my enemy is my friend. But I also live by the principle of help ones neighbor, when one needs it. And besides you helped me exact revenge on the Advent for what they did to my homeworld." "Yes, that is true." J'rah said, "And that is why I trust you, but the others on the council don't see it my way, and while I have much authority, it is not that great." "Well we will have to be quiet about it," Ryat said. "There is the matter of the pirates," J'rah spoke quietly. "And that matter is...." Ryat probed. "Yes they are acting odd," J'rah pointed out, "more heavily armed than any other area, plus they almost seem to obey you." Ryat smiled, "It must be my roguish charm. To be honest I am will to pay more than anyone else and with the pirates, money talks. As to the equipment, well I dont know, maybe with all the money they make, they can afford to buy better weapons." J'rah regarded him with interest, "Then how do they get a hold of Vulkoras, I wonder?" the alien asked, "they seem to be almost like the ones that you bought from us, the ones you said not worry about weapons and systems, just give you the shells. The council is curious on how several Vulkoras, though armed and operated differently, seemed to get into pirate hands. The council does not like this." "Well, I have no answer for that," Ryat admitted, "but seriously, are the pirates any threat to you?" The alien sighed with a rough vibration running through his throat. "No, at least not in areas where we have a solid defense line, but still, it is worrisome." "Agreed, but lets focus on something else," Ryat said. Lord J'rah agreed.
Cheers arose from the bridge of the Bastion as they watched the explosion of the Reviar engulf the Vasari fleet. Standing up, General Veers cracked a smile and told the crew, "I am proud of what we have accomplished today on this battlefield. We have dealt the enemy a greivous blow. You've earned your pay today men."
Suddenly something caught Veers' eye. Out past the burning wreckage of the enemy fleet. A missile. Headed straight for them. Eyes widening Veers looked at the ships status board. Shields had been taken down now that the main conflict was over. Yelling out over the bridge Veers exclaimed, "Get the shields back up! We have incoming fire!"
All across the bridge crewers saw the missile headed right for them. Many scrambled to action. Some just stood there rooted in spot by terror. The missile closed in. It was only 300 meters...200 meters...100 meters away from its target. Suddenly, at 50 meters away, the missile blew up. Shields had just gone up.
A palpable sense of relief filled the bridge, followed by a chime on the Communications console. Striding over to it Veers stood behind Lt. Neal as he set up a secure link. On the screen the logo of the Alpha Fleet appeared, then dissolved to be replaced by that of the last person General Veers thought it would be. Admiral Jak'lya.
"Greetingsss General Veerssss. We meet at lassst," said the alien. His visage dominated the screen. "I have ordered my shipsss to stand down. Pleasse do the same. My intentionssss are no longer hostile. I would like to wait for the ressst of your fleetssss' commandersss can join ussss."
Though the rest of the bridge recoiled at the sight of a Vasari practically on the bridge Veers stood there without blinking. Several seconds later, Veers replied, "Very well." Turning towards Lt. Neal he told him, "Contact the other captains. Order them to have their ships cease firing at once. Then have them board shuttles and come to this ship personally."
Returning his gaze to the Vasari commander he asked, "What do you want?"
Jak'lya said nothing for several tense seconds then answered, "I do not feel that now is the right time to say anything General. Wait until I dock with your ship." Then the image faded.
Narrowing his eyes Veers said, "Get a guard to the hangar bay. Do not attack our guests."
Going back to his seat Veers sat and watched the shuttles, that of both his officers and his enemy, approach the ship. And all he could think was about what in blazes the Vasari commander wanted.
Xenon watched as hundreds of blue fashes appeared at the edge of the gravity well. He let out a large sigh as the last of the ships vanished. The talk with his friend and leader, Carbon, had gone a little better than he expected. After all of the trouble Xenon had been brewing with in the corporation, he was suprised that Carbon just hadn't come and lectured him. Though the unexpected behavior from his suporior was a good sign. Carbon still vauled thier frindship over the coprate pigs.
The man with the metal face moved away from the window.
" Alex "
A man's voice came over the intercome
" yes sir "
" make preparations to for the underworld at once, make sure that Osiris is ready for the journy"
" right away sir"
Xenon move to his chair and sat down
" oh and alex, when your finished lets play a game of chess"

hello all, im a friend of Carbon, and we have tried to do this -Ue_ thing a few times, hopefully this will continue as i enjoy doing things like this a lot.
Xenon is the Paragon of the intelegence devision of the -Ue_ . He is a very unusal man, and doesnt talk or give much imput to people he doesnt know. Xenon and Carbon go back to early wars and have become very good friends since then. Xenon is a tall and slinder man, he is often seen wearing trench coats, gloves and boots, and never shows any skin. His entire face has become metal, and is robotic. The only person who knows why , is carbon. He was there during the accedent. Though Xenon usually knows just about eveything that is happening with in the -Ue_ , he has many contacts that are much father than most think.
Xenon likes to use strike craft to protect himself and his allies. His favorite ship is his Sova Carrier which he dubed "Osiris"
welcome aboard
Osiris moved into position to jump
Xenon was watching the planet drift away. The one planet that he adored and had deemed his new home planet.... if he ever chose to settle down. The Sova stoped just short of the edge of the gravity well. Xenon continued to watch out the window as the metal sheilds moved over the window. In a few moments the capital ship would launch forward, heading for the underworld.
Xenon steped away and moved to the door of his quarters. he walked briskly though his ship giving little notice to the crew about him. Xenon never liked it when his crew would stop to salute him, less productive that way. So even though the Paragon moved though the ship, the most he was given was a quick glance as he walked by. By the time he reached the bridge of the ship an anouncment went out, " all hands prepare for jump".
A bight blue flash appeared, as the ship moved forward, into its jump.
"Has the underworld been informed?" Xenon asked as he sat in the captians chair
"yes sir they have and are waiting for us, Reports say that we may need to wait for an opening before we can reach the underworld though"
"thats fine, just as long as they are ready, Make sure that we keep contact with Carbon also, need to make sure that we are not divided from each other again'
The intense light of the wormhole lights up the hull of the David, making the metal surface into a large mirror. Alexander sits inside, watching the blip on the hologram which reflects the presence of the wormhole.
"Do you know how much natural light you can see from within a Kol, ensign?"
The ensign turns from his console with confusion across his face, "Sir?"
"None, ensign. I mean, unless you're part of the engineering crew and have to work near one of the plasma manifolds, you shouldn't see any natural light. We're wrapped in armor plating. In fact, we're located at the center of the structure and, although tactically wise, it's terribly dreary and claustrophobic."
"Sir?"
Alexander snaps to, looking at the ensign with wide eyes, "Huh?"
"Did you have an order, sir?"
"Yes, go towards that bright thing."
The David leads the way towards the wormhole, passing the edge of the accretion disk and falling into the wormhole's gravity. The vessel's tail turns out of control until a brief flash of light announces its arrival to the other side, where the force throws it clear and maneuvering thrusters regain control.
"Anyone else hate that?" Alexander's question goes unanswered. He shakes his head in response.
The Centauri fleets come in behind the David and Jericho and immediately form up.
"Ensign, tell the 3rd Fleet to check out the Ario system and report back. It's best if they keep to the outskirts. The 5th Fleet should stay here and keep the wormhole secure. Put out a secure message that the DLS David and DLS Jericho have arrived in the Distant Stars and request intel and direction," Alexander orders.
"Yes, sir," the ensign replies.
Alexander rises from his seat, undoing his coat buttons, "I'll be in my ready room."
(NO LONGER NEEDED, SEE EDIT FOR OP)
Nah its no problem. Just as long as you guys dont always make it a 'win' situation for your side. Then it's not fair.

Veers sat at the confrence room table surrounded by the captains of his capital ships. Gazing down at the console embedded in the table he thought of the recently arrived TEC forces. Enough ships to overwhelm the Vasari should this meeting be a trick. He was glad he got it moved to the Argonev Starbase Arkarn. Keying the new ships he contacted their leader.
"Greetings Captain Borovsky. I have new orders for you and your forces. Have your ships head and reinforce the right flank. I'd like you, and any other captains, to come to the Arkarn. We have a top-priority confrence going on. That is all."
Leaning back in his chair General Veers gazed at the 8 captains sitting around the table. As well as at the empty chairs sitting at the other end and around the table where his new arrivals would be sitting. No doubt they would not be pleased to learn of the news he had just recieved. General Veers had visited Admiral Jak'lya in his quarters, an empty senior officers room, and had attempted to discern what was so important that needed to be discussed. Jak'lya had told him little, save that this meeting was vital to both their races. He had then asked to be left alone so that he could ready himself for the fire he was throwing himself into. Veers felt he should've done the same. He knew many of his captains hated the Vasari. He also knew that many would violently oppose Jak'lya from the moment he walked in the confrence room door. Staring at the cold, hard metal walls of the Arkarn Veers hoped that this meeting wouldn't turn his distinguished military career on its head.
--------------------------
How many ships did you send draak? I couldnt quite tell.
Lord Ryat leaned beck in his massive high-backed leather chair, a replica of the one at home. His office on the starbase was a little bit more decorated but not much. He had no need for an I-Love-Me wall, and while he had a small photo of the family members that were killed by the Advent, there was little that he needed. He had even joked, as his intel officer Captain Usyma Lorso had come in the office, that she was the prettiest work of art in the room. The fact that she was beautiful was besides the point. Her mind was razor sharp and deeply analytical. He watched her read over the intel he had received letting his mind wander. She was his type that is for sure, he thought to himself, maybe when this was all over they could get together, they worked well as a team. She shifted and put the info pad down which brought him back to his wandering.
"So this info is from that Advent woman you released?" she asked to which he nodded his head, "how did you get her to cooperate and turn?"
"I promised marriage to her and undying love," he quiped. She promtly rolled her eyes.
"Im sure," she said dryly, "because you have such a way with women." They both chuckled over the old joke, though Lord Ryat sometimes wondered just how much she knew about his secret. She sometimes said things that hinted at it.
"Well my analysis is interesting," she said getting more serious, "these fortifactions are well established and thick. We have four starbases orbiting the Kyrene star with all to bells and whistles and every planet and grav well has a starbase, mines, and fortifactions. Yet I detect no massive shipyards or resource motherlodes, just an average build in those areas. But I did notice a series of research labs here at this dead asteriod." She pointed at the asteriod of interest. "Why that is I have no idea."
"Not to mention some pretty massive fleets in conjunction to the defenses," Lord Ryat pointed out, "They are hiding or protecting something. But what?" Usyma shrugged. "Well whatever it is, we need to build our fleet and position here before trying to crack that thing. I was thinking of hit the Prycon system next."
"Don't the Vasari own that?" Usyma asked. Lord Ryat nodded, "Won't Lord J'rah get annoyed with about that?"
"There is more infighting in the Vasari world then you realize, my dear," Lord Ryat said, "I think Lord J'rah won't mind if we drop kick these guys out of our way."
"I dont like using the pirate jump point this close to the star sir," Braken said out loud."Relax, we could jump closer if you wanted." Carbon half muttered. His mood has not improved on the trip here. Xenon had sent the latest TEC intel reports along side some personal side notes. The Advent defense show impressive strength. That worried him."Barken, think we get a warm welcome?" Carbon asked. Still going over the intel."Honestly sir, Im be surpised we make to Eras. Wont shock me on bit if we run into a pirate blockade." Braken said over his sholder as he was directing a crew member at a console. Turning around, "I know thats why we jumped so close to star though, your trying to be sneaky around a man who i known to be a snake. Playing with fire sir, but wont be the last time I suspect." Give a slight smile."Aye, Im afraid though those Starbases have already seen the phase rips we made. Though we not been hailed yet...I want us closer to the sun. Send the word to move closer and increase shield projection. Dont care if we have to crawl there, just as long as we keep a low profile." Carbon said. Keeping an eye on holoprojector, showing the grav well along side everything in it.Though being so close to the sun the projector failed to show the starbases and half of his fleet even though he knew where they were. Ventu System, Planet Croma 43-----"HE DID WHAT?!?!" Grean shouted while slamming his hand on the metal clad desk. The suit clad man across the desk sat quitely in the tan pleather chair. Grean ran his hand through what hair he had left. Sitting down in a large plush desk chair give a deep sigh. "God damn, that man is more trouble than it may be worth.""I told you this would happen sooner or later." The man said confidently "Though you know they are a needed evil. Without the Divisions you know we be dust. Yet Im am shocked how some of them have some of them have become unchainable." Adjusting his glasses as he watched Grean fume. "Well I see you already knew that, shall I show myself out?" Standing up button his jacket. Grean hit a button on the com console, " Tereas, call the Board. We have a buisness that requires an emergency meeting. Mr. Cren is leaving, call a cab.""Yes sir.""As for you Dan, get your shit together. If the word gets out about White Impluse, the Trade Order will cast us out despite the war going on." Grean hissed as Mr. Cren walked out of the office. As he left Mr. Cren he couldnt but smile at the conversation he just had. Walking out down the hall he reached in his pocket and pulled out a small device. Pushing it together as he tossed it down just as he reached the outside door. Today couldnt of got any better.
A speaker on Alexander's desk beeps repeatedly. He reaches over and presses the button to hear, "Sir, Captain Hollans is hailing us."
"Patch it through to my ready room."
A beep sounds and Hollans' voice comes over, "Sir, the Ario System is crawling with Advent. It looks like they just took a pounding, but we couldn't find any sign of TEC beacons, emergency or otherwise. Probably pirates or Vasari. We've already begun the return trip, but I don't think we'll find anything in Ario worth fighting that sortie."
Alexander nods, "Very good. Make sure you don't draw any attention on your way back."
"Yes, sir."
A beep sounds and Alexander turns to a panel on the wall. With a little fiddling, it displays a map of the nearby planets and stars, each highlighted according to known territories and disputes. In the jumbled mass of objects his intel is old, at best. Although he can be sure about most of the planets, the fleet elements are a mystery to him without local information. He stands up, leaving the room without his coat.
"Helmsman, any communications yet?"
"No, sir. Local forces have yet to reply to our hails."
"Alright, then we'll have to move forward blind. Tell the 3rd Centauri Fleet to meet us at the nearest shipyard with a starbase. If we need any refitting, I want to have some cover while in dock."
With the Jericho close behind, the David takes its leave of the anomaly, heading towards a distant, pale, blue planet. Along the way, Alexander has the comm officer repeat requests on all TEC frequencies.
The whole ships rocked as the bombers unloaded their beams into the Event, "We got fire on 43rd Deck!" Shouted Braken over the explosions that rumbled through the ship. Carbon watched as 5th Fleet had found itself in a hornets nest. There wasnt much time to figured out why they mis jumped or how now. From out the windows on the bridge Carbon watched as his 5th Fleet try to rally and repel the Advent swarms. "Where is Yellow Task Force?! We need that support behind us!" Carbon shouted. BOOM! Another explosion shook the Event. Fire rolled out of side of the ship. The ship rolled throwing crew members throughout the ship everywhere....----------------------------------- A smile grew over her face. As the swarm of Anima on the starbases had a field day with blind hypocites fleet. She was surpirsed that they had evaded the Scryers dection neverless, the Unity had not fail. And as she watched the battle from holoprojectors within the safety of the starbase, the Scryers had id the fleet and its flagship. The Unity throbed with anger as the thought of the commander of the fleet. She would enjoy watching his ship burn. "I want all those bombers focused on that Akkan." She commaned to her Anima. Through the sounds of thousand voice her Anima aknowleged the command. Yes she will enjoy watching the this fleet burn.
Lord J'rah stood in the council chambers on board Skijar the main Jarrasul Evacuator that had been with the J'kar clan since the beginning of the Exodus. It therefore served as the center of government for the J'kar clan. And right now the council was in an uproar. Word had been received of Lord Ryat's attack on a Vasari clan that was in the area. An emergency meeting had been called. And the shouting begun. "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" one council member exlcaimed. "WE CAN NOT TRUST THIS HUMAN!" shouted another. "HOW SOON BEFORE HE TURNS ON-" roared a third. "BUT HE IS OUR ALLY, AND HE HAS HELPED US MANY TIMES!" a fourth shouted back in defense of Lord Ryat. Lord J'rah let the screaming matches going on for a time before bringing his Rock of Judgement done with a loud BOOM! The room quickly quieted down and all eyes focused on him. He met every set of eyes with his own. "Shouting and arguing will not settle this matter," he said quietly, "we need a calm discussion to help us come to a proper conclusion. Only level heads can guide to a level path." Several other Vasari council members grumbled. Mostly the ones that hated the humans, especially Lord Ryat for helping them. They were still stuck on the idea that they were the masters of the galaxy, and not what they were, a bunch of vagabonds with no homes but the ships they roamed with. "Lord Vilk," Lord J'rah pointed to the leader of that group, "Please state your case. And do so in a proper manner please." Lord Vilk face twisted in the Vasari version of a scowl, but did as he was baded. After all Lord J'rah was a Great Council One. "Yes, I would like to begin by saying that this is not the first time that this Ryat person has attacked a Vasari clan," he began, "Nor do I think it will be the last. Humans have proven time and time again to be a race of barbaric low born dirt walkers. They fight amoungst themselves constantly. Just look at the TEC, Advent war that is going on. They can't even work together with each other. What makes any of you think that they will work with us. They know nothing about walking the stars or making planets bend to their wills. Lord Ryat is the perfect example of this. He touts friendship and loyalty but shows neither. He claims to be powerful and worthy of helping us but he to was in sore straits when we met him. And all the humans are just like him. They are deserving of nothing more than to be thrust back into the dirt planets that they came from and to be ruled over by their betters!" With that Lord Vilk took his seat. Lord J'rah sighed, then pointed to the ones who were beginning to see the light about the humans. "Lord Anro," he said, "Please state your case." Lord Anro stood up before the council and began. "My lords, Lord Vilk seems to bring up some good points, or so he thinks. Yes at one time we did walk amoungst the stars and bend planets to our will. Even entire solar systems were our playgrounds. And yet did we have all of this right at the start? No. Do we still have these abilities? No, we have lost them. Further, we too fight amoungst ourselves. How many clans that started the Exodus with us have been lost do to being absorbed by others. Even our clan was so weak so as to be down to two great ships, Skijar and J'kartha, and yet this man Lord Ryat came to us, not just for our help but to help us. And our clan has begun to grow strong again. And Lord Ryat has had plenty of opportuinity to take it all away from us, but he hasn't. Even this clan that he attacked, were we not also considering doing so. He merely beat us to the target and some of us are mad about it. I say we leave this matter be. Lord Ryat is our ally and friend. We can trust him." With that Lord Anro took his seat. Lord J'rah sat quietly as he let all of this settle. He knew neither side would give and that he had to play both sides in order to get what he wanted out of them. Fortunately, Lord Ryat had helped him out with this. Lord Ryat knew how to play the game very well. "Both sides make valid points," he started, "On the one hand, Lord Ryat has been a source of help to us and will most likely continue for some time." Mutterings and grumbles began again forcing him to use his Rock of Judgement. "On the other hand," he continued as things quieted down, "We cannot allow such a thing to go unpunished. An eye for an eye as the saying goes and is fitting. I have some information about a human settlement that we can exact our punishemnt upon. I say we attack them, enslave them and use the resouces to strengthen ourselves, so that we may be ready, if Lord Ryat ever turns on us." There was silence as all of the council members considered this. Then one by one each gave their vote. All voted to attack the human settlement. Lord J'rah thoughtfully considered this turn of events. He wondered just what Lord Ryat was doing.
AS the Osiris came out of its jump, a communication alert was quickly recivied.
" Paragon, its form the Underworld, they say that Carbon mis-jumped, and not a good one either" said the communication officer, as he handed the transmition to Xenon.
" How did this happen?" Xenon asked, with out a change in his face or voice.
" bad intel from our source, thats my best bet" said the chief intel officer that was on the ship.
" Well gentelmen, we dont do bad intel, i want to know why this was bad, and i want it fixed, and i want it done before anyone eats again, is that understood" Xenon said, still with no change in his voice or face.
Even though his voice never changed, eveyone in the room knew that if his orders where not followed quickly, then it would become hell on the ship very soon. So the room burst to life as eveyone scrabled to make themselves look like they where working on the current problem. Xenon's fist clenched the trasmishion as he crumpled it into a wad of paper. He didnt like being wrong, especially when it came to moving though enemy lines.
" sire.." the comm officer spoke up again.
" what now " Xenon said
" it seems that the planet just left, they have reported that a new fleet just jumped in, TEC ships, non-hostle right now"
" Any Id on them?" Xenon asked, his couriosity had been sparked by the recent news
" Only thing we have right now is the names Jerico and David. The local militia hasnt responded yet, wanted to know what we thought"
"well if they arent firing at us, and they are TEC looking ships, then contact them, lets see who they are, and what they know" Xenon said, " and as soon as they make contact and find some info, let me know, i want a full report ASAP"
" Yes sir, ill have it right away"
Xenon stood up from his chair, " Nacigation, is there a whole open to the Underworld yet?"
" A whole will open in 20 minutes sir"
" good im ready to be cought up on the universes news" Xenon said as he walked around the room, makeing sure that eveyone was busy at work
"You will see soon enough Captain Borovsky. It may comfort you to know that only Captain Kilm and myself happen to know the true nature of this meeting," Veers told the newly arrived captains. A chime on the comlink in front of him told him that the meeting was about to begin.
Gazing back out at his surrounding forces Veers took a deep breath, as if readying himself for the plunge he was about to take. "Gentlemen. We are about to begin. I only ask this, do not show signs of outrage at what you are about to see. I only know who our visitors are. I do not know their intentions. We have been at war for so long. Our visitors seem prepared to call a truce."
The doors slid open, and the whole table watched the figure enter. Admiral Jak'lya. Supreme Commander of the Vasiera Fleet, one of the only Vasari fleets not plagued by infighting. Captains around the table stared in shock, some had pure impudence on their faces, still others were just looking at him, triumphant looks on their faces, no doubt feeling that he was here to wave the white flag.
Jak'lya sat at the head of the table, directly across from General Veers, and was flanked by 4 other Vasari captains, who sat in the chairs next to his.
Looking around the table Jak'lya gazed at the TEC captains. He had no visible expression on his fierce face. Clearing his throat, General Veers spoke first, "Greetings Admiral. I am glad to see that you have upheld your end of this arrangement."
"Yessss I have General Veerssss. We come in peace."
"Good. Please, begin your presentation."
"Very well," replied Jak'lya as he set a small holo-disk on the table in front of him. Pushing a button a map, full of darkened worlds, appeared and he stood up to adress everyone. "The planetssss you see here formed the Vasari Empire, more than 10,000 yearssss ago in a galaxy far from your own. We ruled it. And now, through mysterious causessss we cannot understand, we are fleeing an enemy we cannot defeat. The remainssss of the Empire is what hasss attacked your systems. And now, this war hasss drained our resourcessss to the point of exhaustion. Our Exodussss Fleet, as we call it, should have left more for new planets a long time ago, before our enemy caught up with us, but this war has drained our resourcesss so badly that we cannot save enough to get under way again. And now, with the arrival of this Advent we are doomed. I come to assk for an alliance. Peace. Just so we can continue our long trek acrossss space. We will alssso take anyone of your species with us, so that they too might be spared from the onslaught of our enemy." Jak'lya closed the hologram of his previous empire and sat, obviously awaiting a reply.
Veers gazed at the Admiral. He had just learned alot of his foe. He now knew where the came from, why they are running, and, most horribly, the fate that awaited the Trade Order.

The comm buzz woke Lord Ryat from a deep sleep. Groggily he looked around while a feminine voice answered the comm. "Yeah, what," Usyma grumped. "Sorry to disturb you My Lord," the man on the comm began, "But we are getting an odd report from our scouts at the Kyrene Star." Lord Ryat and Usyma bolted out of bed and began dressing. "What kind of odd report Commander," Lord Ryat asked. "Well they say a TEC fleet is coming through the star gravwell," he reported, "We are assuming it entered near the star and hugged it close to keep from being seen. But when they began to leave the Advent caught them and launched all of their bombers and sent out the pursuit fleet of 2 Halycons and 30 Aeria Drones against the TEC fleet. we have no further reports as of yet." Lord Ryat and Usyma, now fully dressed, left the room with the comm following them. "Whats the flagship's name of the TEC fleet, did you catch that?" Lord Ryat asked. "Yes Sir, it Event Horizon," he answered. Ryat stopped in his tracks and looked at Usyma. "What the hell is Carbon doing going through that star," Ryat growled, "He was supposed to come through the Tegir system then Eras star to us." Usyma shrugged, "I sent all the information of what we had and recommendations to Xenon's contacts," she said, "Its not on our end I dont think." She pulled out a datapad and began searching through the data as they both began to walk to the command center. "It all checks out. Even the big warning sign of do not enter is tagged to the Kyrene Star," she said, "I don't know what to make of it." "We will figure it out later, make a note, " Ryat said, "For now, we need to correct this situation. Commander Geth!" Ryat said to the comm, "download the IFF files for -Ue_Carbon into those mines, I don't want he getting hit by our side. Tell the starbase at the Eras star to shutdown and hide if any Advent fleet tries to follow, we can't risk the Advent knowing about that starbase, and ready our defenses here as best you can."
Xenon sat in his office on his Sova Osiris. he was still fuming over the news of sending Carbon, one of his friends, into a death trap. Xenon was a little worried anout Carbon, waiting ot hear the reports from the battle. He has still no word from the plaent they had just left on the outcome of contating the new ships.
He was getting nervous
Xenon had a lot of secrests, many of them could change a lot of peoples lives. The Underworld was his haven, and it held his most terrrible secrets.
A man dressed in a simple unifore came in, he didnt come all the way to the desk, but stoped right inside the door, shut it quitely, and move to the shadows in the back of the room.
" seems we have something that needs your attention" said the man
Xenon looked up at the man in the corner, knowing who he really was. When it came to intel, there was usually someone someone or something that was trying to hinder you at your job. This man was apart of the 'special' group of soldiers that Xenon had hand picked. These men and women had the job of monertering his the people that work for him in his division. Usually if they find something they just send him a report though the proper channels so as not to have thier cover compromised. Then the other half of this 'special' force goes into action, fixing the 'problem' by any means. This usually means the peorson of intrest happens to dissapear and is never seen again. If they have come to Xenon, posiibly blowing his cover, this was big, and it couldnt wait.
"Will we need Vlad?" Xenon asked puzzeled
" yes sir we will need Vlad" the man said in a quiet voice
Xenon pressed a botton on his desk, a direct line to Vlad. Vlad was the strong arm side of the special force on the Osiris. He was know for being ruthless. His favorite practice was baggin people, waiting till they went to thier bunk for sleep, and taking them then. it was less then 30 seconds for the massive man to get to Xenon's office.
As he walked in he asked ," what is it Xenon?" As he contined into the room he noticed the man in the corner, " That big? What do i need to clean up?"
"Not sure yet, wanted you here first Vlad. Go head now" Xenon said to the man in the corner.
" We've been looking into the bad intel that we got, that lead Carbon on that mis-jump. W belive that there is a terrorist cell on board, Advent sided. Not sure how big yet, but we do have positive id's on three so far. What we dont know is if they are just sypathetic to advent or if they are being controled."
"Whats the names, we need to detaine them!" Vlad said raiseing his voice.
"No, we need to play this out, lets not be hasty. Lets us get to the Underworld, we should be there soon, we just started the flight though. Once we get there do not let anyone off this ship. No one is to leave untill Vlad has done a compleat check on evey person here, and untill our investigation is compleat. Vlad i want some of your men stationed at the air locks, no one on or off you hear me." Xenon said, with out letting his voice change. "once we find all of the terrorist then i want you to bag them all and take them on to the underworld for information pumping."
" yes sir, it will be done" Vlad said calming down
"as for you" Xenon said to the man in the corner, " i want you to let Vlad here takeyou to the brig, start the rumor that you where a member of this terrorist cell and that you told us eveything, this should make the actual members sqirm a bit, making Vlad's job easier."
"yes sir" the man said
"keep me updated on this, and Vlad take it a little easy on him, he is on our side." Xenon said standing up
" As you wish sir" Vlad said with a slight smile
" alright lets go then" Xenon said
with that all three men moved to action, The ship was less than one minute away from the Underworld. The visitors needed to be taken care of before anyting else happened on Osiris.
Captain Shoen was on patrol in his arcova scout frigate at the frontier. This was quite a dangerous job and a heavy pirate presence surronded the area but he had his ship modified with far more heavier lasers and enhanced engines so he had full confidence that he could do his job without a hitch. As he left phase space he was under heavy fire as soon as he arrived out of phase space.A large battle was raging "those ships look alien sir" yelled one of the crew."Get us outta here"yelled the captain."Wait" yelled a crew member "those are Vasari , Advent and Pirates"!"We'll Notify Grand admiral Daniel , but for now get us outta here! yelled Shoen "just get us outta here"! "Aye,Aye!" yelled a crew member. and the engines rumbled getting ready for a phase jump and as soon as they jumped the crew and captain relaxed. They had just escaped certain death. When the captain gave his report it shocked the grand admiral."Ready the the hidden armada"said the grand admiral. The die was cast , he TEC had become an empire on a two front total war.......
Lord Ryat watched as the battered fleet slowly exited phase space. 5 of the 9 capital ships were severly damaged to say nothing of the shattered fleet of cruisers and firgates. As the Hoshikos swarmed over the fleet, he pulled up the info on all of the ships. Event Horizon, which was Carbon's flagship, was the worst, though the venerable Akkan ship was as durable as any. And Carbon knew how to push the limits. Lord Ryat sighed as he considered the cost of all these repairs then shook it off. Carbon usually had a good reason for getting himself that deep into trouble and besides, he just had to tap the -Ue_ accounts to cover the cost. A shuttle left the Akkan and headed for the starbase. "Will you please send -Ue_Carbon to my office when he lands," he told the commander of the starbase, then proceeded to go to that same office. The man that walked into the office was still dressed in his battle armor. Battle armor was given to those low rank crew men who were responible for doing all of the physical work during battle, and were not safely enclosed in a battle couch. Carbon kept his, even though his battle couch needed to be modified, to remind himself of his humble beginnings. He even wore it as a uniform and had all of the citations, medal, and rank pinnings in the appropriate place as if it were an officer uniform. He took a seat in a chair Ryat had brought in that could hold the weight of the suit. "Well Carbon," Ryat began, "You sure do know how to make an entrance. Though why you tried to sneak through there is beyond me." "Well the info you gave me said 4 TEC bases," Carbon said, "And I was trying to sneak by you to suprise you." "Yeah, thats a smart idea to do on the frontlines," Ryat replied, "but yeah, the data I sent into the network was 4 Advent starbases fully loaded with PsiTech weaponary. Then with bold letters, I said Do Not Enter. There must be a break in the info chain, I got my best people working on it." "Yeah, Xenon has got it on his end," Carbon informed Ryat. "Good, when the Tin Man gets his thing going, he usually gets what he wants," Ryat said, "Anyways, that was a heck of a fight you put up." "Yep, I got three of the starbases and attending defensive fleet," Carbon said proudly, "Would have had the last one but the backup Advent fleet was a bit more than I could handle." "Yeah, well you only got one, the other two are a mess but still there," Ryat corrected, "Had to pull my scout ships back though due to that fleet that came after you. I hope you realize what kind of a hornest nest you stirred up. I think the only reason that fleet did not follow you was because they had to stay behind to fix that mess you made." Carbon shrugged, "Well three, one whatever, I had good reason to come here as quickly as I could." Ryat leaned back in his chair, "I figured as much, do go on." Carbon pulled out a portable holoprojector and activated it. A holo of a planet appeared, a relic planet. "This is the planet V4-Una, the Advent found an artifact known as a Data Archive. Xenon thinks that they are studying it to find and edge in battle." Ryat studied the planet carefully, then activated the room's holoprojector. A projection of several star systems with their attending planets appeared and overshadowed the projection of V4-Una. Ryat focused on V4-Una and a dead asteroid that was only one phase lane away. "That explains a lot," Ryat said, "This area is heavily guarded, starting with the Kyrene Star on in. We could not figure out why, the closest we came was something to do with this dead asteroid that has many labs at it. Considering it locaton right next to V4-Una and the flow of traffic between the two, I'd say that this is a good explaination. The Advent has found something in that Data Archive and is trying to figure out how to exploit it to their advantage." "Well we need to take it," Carbon said, "At any cost." Ryat shutdown the holoprojector and looked at Carbon evenly. "What we need to do is fix this mess you caused and refigure the attack plans. I will help you get your ships back up to shipshape, maybe even a little better equiped and send you over to the Ario System. You can take that over, and rebuild your forces. Don't worry, its all Advent over there, and I would gladly help you out with part of my fleet. The men need the training." Carbon considered the offer carefully. "Okay, sounds good."
"Sir, we have a response from a Sova Carrier, the Osiris."
"I was expecting to find Unified Explorers here. Open a channel to them."
A beep sounds as Alexander stands, "Corporate carrier, Osiris, this is Fleet Admiral Alexander Draakjacht of the David's Lions. We have the DLS David and DLS Jericho in the sector, accompanied by the 3rd and 5th Centauri Fleets. We have been ordered by Admiral Jenson to assist in any way possible. We need some intel as to the current state of things and potential direction. Thank you."
He waves his hand through the air and a beep signals the end of the transmission. He turns his attention to the lieutenant at the comm system, "How far are the 3rd?"
"Sir, they are only five minutes out."
"Good. Get some tea in here."
