Another nice touch is allowing elite ships to be able to go above three on their individual abilities. Gives some nice options than just being required to select the same 10 upgrades at the higher levels.

A couple of questions. Why was Federation Spacedock research so expensive before? Also it does seem like the Dominion is more powerful now. I haven't played them since the new update but they do seem more competitive watching the AI. Is it my imagination?
Once the game is flushed out would a hard look be seriously taken at the mechanics or is this going to be a plug our head into the sand it's been like this for so long we're not changing it yadda yadda?

The price of that research hasn't changed since at least the port to Rebellion. If a strange cost has been adjusted it means we reordered the research at some point and didn't change it to match the tiers. For the most part, research will be in line with Sins standards.
The last tweak to the Dominion AI was in early May, we added .5 to the cargo capacity because they tend to under build trade ports due to them being 8 logistics and more expensive, hampering their economic capabilities. They also have the previously added regeneration boosts and experience gain so the AI can keep their fleet in better shape, and level up their ships easier despite being too stupid to use the side properly.
Played as the Dominion for the first time since the update. The Dominion do seem slightly more powerful which is a good thing. I noticed the assault cruisers do more damage. Also having the power generator not be limited to a diameter is nice. Also the increased radius of the battle station on the nor type station is good. Maybe these were added previously and I hadn't noticed?
It feels like they are closer in balance to the Klingons and Romulans. Nice touches.
The Dominion should be "on par" with the federation being that early in the first dominion war the feds were quite literally getting their asses handed to them. Until the feds adapted, and upgraded their ships. It was a colossal strategic failure on the part of the Dominion to allow the wormhole to be recaptured by the feds. If the Dominion held the wormhole then they surely would have won the war.
The other tweaks were also done in early May, their first release version would have been 0.7.3.
One thing I did notice today. It appeared that my Devastator elite ships were not buffing the surrounding Jem Hadar ships with Glory to the Founders. I noticed it when Glory to the Founders was level 2.
While the damned thing is broken, again, it's broken because it does max stacks all the time. Are you sure it wasn't working? It should apply on 5 second intervals.
Currently rewriting this(yay complication!) to retain the efficiency and actually spawn the right number of buffs...
Edit: Or not, yay engine bugs...
It may just have to go back to being grossly inefficient, but it's definitely working.

First, thanks a million for the mod; I still remember the original SOA in HW with deep fondness, and have many epic stories from those battles. Now I am making new epic star trek stories with my friends, thanks to you!
Next, I have many (probably stupid) questions about your mod, and how to do stuff in it. I've read the guides on the moddb site, and I've searched for another forum that might be organized into topics. I would like to answer my own questions without bothering people, but where do I search? Do I really need to read 196 pages of forum in order to figure out how to play Romulans well, or how to use the technologies associated with recruiting independent races? I recently found out how to use "terraform," but only after reading back something like 10 pages in the forums here. I do not want to read the whole forum.
Where should I be looking?
Sorry if the answer is obvious, but I have tried, and I can not find a wiki, organized forum, FAQ, etc!

Hi there, I appologise for asking this and I by no means intend to seem pushy or impatient. I was just interested in knowing what the possible ETA for the next major update would be? For example is it likely to be weeks, months or maybe longer than that? If you are fairly close to a new release it would be nice to know as it would mean I would hold off on a couple of personal mods that I was thinking of doing. Many thanks!
Can't make any promises, sorry. I have models ready to be converted, and psy also has some updates.
We've been running them out every six months or so. It's possible an update shows up inbetween, but a new release wont be coming till December most likely.

For me there hasn't been a new release yet where there weren't a few "whoa.....that is awesome!" moments when playing.
