Who else is playing it? Where you at?
I'm a warrior dwarf in the Denerim forest and I hate elves. I just finished up the stuff and Redcliff. The only character in good standings with me is my dog, I seem to offend everyone else.
These battles are challenging. Very well executed game.

I am having a blast with it... now that its working right. Extremely frustrating launch for me that forced me to wait until yesterday to start playing... meh on how they chose to handle DLC and their crazy online beta website makes me want to punch myself. BUT - completely thrilled about everything else with the game.
I just hit level 6 and added Sten to my party, who appears to be quite the badass. Loved the huge battle on the kings side that happened a little earlier. Felt so much like being a part of the 2 towers.

Human Mage. I'm at the return trip to the Circle of Magi after solving most of the problems in Redcliffe. I still need to go back to Redcliffe to take care of...something...can't say what without going into story details. Man I'm loving this game.
Also, don't forget you can talk to your party members and they can even give you specific quests.
I'm a human male warrior, starting out for the 4th time after I was dissapointed at my character's looks and voice the first two times, and threw away the third one right before becoming a Grey Warden after (finally!) learning how to activate my Deluxe/PreOrder bonus. So far, the game hits the perfect spot between the hardcore roleplaying of Baldur's Gate 2 and the 'dungeon crawler with a plot' of Neverwinter Nights and I'm *loving* it. Worth $65? worth it, completely.
I'm an elf female mage. Once I hit level 7, I'm probably going to specialize in blood magic, because I like POWER.

Hi guys, I'm really interested in getting Dragon Age but am worried about its performance on my PC.
Will I be able to run it at 1900x1200? (without AA)

I believe so, my system is inferior to yours in nearly every way and it runs quite well at 1280x1024 and max settings (but no AA). In fact, it runs markedly better than Mass Effect, despite looking better to my eyes. My specs (all stock, no OC):

I'm guessing you are going to Circle of Magi for a very specific reason and returning to Red Cliff for that very same reason. I did NOT go to the Circle of Magi for the reason. Maybe somehow the quests are playing out differently, who knows. I don't want to get into too much detail for spoiler reasons.
Ha, I have a 9500 1 gig memory; one of the first dual cores; and just 2 gigs memory, and I can run it with maxed setting and 2x AA. The graphics are not that "great", so it should not strain you machine in the least.
And yes, I got the game, love it, and have played it every spare moument since I got it. You know you got a great game when, "while" you are playing it, your thinking of all the other ways your going to play it the second and third time through. This game seems to have max replay value.

Ahh yes, I know exactly what you mean now. It's the same reason here as to why I don't go into detail. The quests can indeed be played out different ways. Most of the main quests usually have at least 3 different ways you can go about them depending on your class and race pick. There's going to be a TON of replay value in this game. Consider each race will have it's own path you take, each class will play differently and get different quests. Now combine that with being able to play through multiple times making different choices with each class or race. I have a feeling this game will still be interesting on the 3rd time through.
I went with a female human rogue but I am not sure about the choice.
I played BG/BG2/NWN as a rogue(NWN2 for an extremely brief, unsatisfying time). I like the idea of the class but it may be time for a change. I may end up switching over to a warrior or mage... it will be interesting to see how all of the origins come together and intertwine. I need to get all Val Kilmer on it and switch completely into a new mindset. I'm going to go and tell my wife she needs to start referring to me as Mauxe, the dissatisfied and potentially explosive human mage with a giant chunk of a chip on my shoulder....
I just left the country and am back... so back to DA! Am at Redcliff saving the child... killing dead stuff. Already got the old Grey Warden Fortress back...
Well, on Redcliff I decided to go for the panoramic route (y'know, paying a visit to the mages and such) and I must say, I had to fight some of the best RPG bosses ever to finish it. I also did both DLC quests, fairly fun with interesting rewards for both of them, but I wish they had been longer, specially that of the Keep which didn't expand on its backstory as much as I would've wished.
Even though I wasn't really expecting anything interesting, I had to notice all the women in the game were wearing the same underwear.

Anyway. I love the game. There was a repeating crash keeping me from progressing with my main character, but i guess I figured out how to stop getting it last night. Yay! I had started a bunch of other characters, but I wanted to go forth with my main.
Some of the out of the blue banter between your team can really surpise you. I was wandering around, searching the countryside for something or other, when Morrigan and Alister start banter stuff that made me laugh so hard I had to stop playing.
Oh, and just wait till Sten (Achie Bunker meets 300) starts telling the women in your party "Their place".
And what I'm really starting to both love AND hate about this game is when you make decissions about your party, quests, and this sides you take, well, there is really very little black and white, good or evil, so it makes it kind'a hard to choose.
I'm guessing you haven't come across some of the same choices I have. There are a lot of quests where you can decide to either help someone, not help them, or say you'll help them and then double cross them later. A lot of what I've seen where I'm at now could be boiled down to either "Good" or "Evil" depending on how you look at it. There are a lot of "Shades of Gray" though.
