What's so special about GTA IV? There's plenty of gamers that have played plenty of games plenty of times longer than 40 hours.

I'm thinking "Wow, this guy endured 40 hours of GTA IV". That seems to be the only tangible feat and apparently others are agreeing with me. It's not that he played a game for 40 hours. It's that he played GTA IV for 40 hours.
40 Hours? I completed the game in under 30, and after that there just isn't much to do besides hunt down pigeons which aren't hidden in fun locations like GTAIII's packages.

Honestly I can't imagine playing GTA 4 for that long...I would shoot my self in the head. Besides I have played Elderscrolls 4: Oblivion for 53 hours straight and maybe a total of 1300 hours since I bought it.
*Edit, added 20 plus hours on accident. I'm not sure if the human body can look at a computer screen that long and not start seeing meatspin.*
