I think I finally found a worthy successor to Master of Orion 2 !
The game is in early beta and despite everything you'd expect in a game at that stage I have so much fun!
Definite must-buy for me.
it looks like imperium galactica. With about the same game system and premise and the graphics arent that much better. Is it entirely turn based? Or is it rts like homeworld and sins in the space battles?

Both. The campaign (colony management, diplomacy, research, etc.) is turn-based, while the combat is in real-time. Think "Total War in space".
Signed up, not enough decent 4x games out after Space Empires 5 and Lost Empires dropped the ball for the market.
Next beta version is announced to be released soon ... maybe a week or so. My guess is that new beta testers get admitted once it's out, so go and queue up.
