Some of us received a few serials to spare, so why not centralize them here ?
I do have 4 serials to give to any one of you. In order to do so, just reply and I will PM you one of them.
If any of the other beta testers wants to do the same, feel free to do so by first telling how many serials you have left, and edit your post when you gave them all.
Remember people, it's still beta, but it's really great so give it a chance !

i still don't get the point of r2p. i have installed it and find it pretty useless. for what has it been made for? if there are more feature that i didn't have ssen than it is not intuitive.
could anybody explain me why i should use it and for what purpose?

I think it's a fantastic addition to Impulse. It may not be apparent yet as to how helpful it will be to some, but i have already had a few good games organized in RTP.
It may also be of more use to those with more than 1 title on Impulse as well.

Free serials for a friend finder? does this mean you would actually charge money for something like this normally?
When we got stuff like MSN for free.... I ignored my e-mail as I dont use these sort of stuff.... If I want to play a game, I load it and join a game, simple.
If i have trouble getting a game I might use it, but as it stands I could pretty much count the online (AU) players at any one time on my fingers, so the idea of sorting suitable matches is redundant as there is not a large enough community to sort through... we are lucky to get 8 people together at the same time ready to start a 4v4.

btw. when i want to play dg i want to look ingame for matches not with an external tool. i need it quick and simlple. better implement a matchmaking system into dg for dg not this stupid r2p thing.
sending people an invaite via r2p that are allready in dg? did they even notice it then?
well maybe for some of you it has a point. for me it is the most useles tool of the year!
and for demigod itself it would have been million times better to invest that work in the missing features that ANY OTHER mp-game of the world had at release. but no, they build a friendlist with game invites. sure, this may be used for other games too. neverless worthless compared to an ingame mp-infrastructure that a game still needs with or without r2p. waste of developer resources.

@ CelMare - just a reminder that this is developed by SD, GPG would be the ones responsible for DG ingame MP communication.
Well, R2P will be free of charge. But since it's in beta stage, you need a serial to use it.

thats not quite true as currently SD has taken some part to the ingame development. gpg created dg at first but now sd is also involved, at least thats what i read and heared. and i dont talk about the impulse ingame representation that is made by sd from the beginning on.
i think we're pretty much of the same opinion
maybe i should've said it's not really a waste of SD's time as this will be used in other projects, like elemental. which DG is having some things back ported from.
well, this i admitted already. but at least considering the current features i find it quite useless even if it supports 100000 games. i allways prefer an ingame lobby and matchmaking system.
you maybe chose the first game with that tool but afterwards i find it stupid to leave the game to find new players, new open games to join. i find the effort wasted. it would be better to make an ingame integrated infrastructure that can be used in mayn games. somethign similar they already had: i mean the ingame friendlist and chat functions in dg e.g.
add matchmaking system but keep it portable to other games and a independend backend. why make an externel messenger like programm thatcan only make things slower and more complicated?
for me it is still one of the stupiest ideas on earth.

i'm now reaching the depth of my knowledge, but i understood RTP to be, one day, intergrated fully into games (which ever they may be).

Just a simple ranking system for players simialr to Company of Heroes would have been useful (lvl1-20) to indicate the skill level of that player... Formulated based on win ratio, games played, level of player beaten.... Beat a level 1 noob at level 10 and your ranks stays the same... beat a level 15 at level 10 and your rank increases. Get beaten by a noob and your rank decreases.
Yes I know theres ladder ranks and such, but in game lobby a few simple things would be more useful than this r2p stuff.
1. invites. Be able to invite a dg friend to bring them into the game lobby you are in.
2. level ranking (1-20) to see what you are up against without the boring details.
3. MORE host options. Auto kick players trying to join with higher than specified ping.... I know p2p makes this a bit crazy, so make the ping it is measured by be the ping to host. That will at least stop the 500+ culb tring to barge in and crash your lobby.
4. Allow an enemies list. We got friends, we need enemies. People in your enemies list dont need to know theyre on it, nor does anyone else, but the ability to perma-ban a player from even seeing a game you host would be handy. Over time you could filter the high pingers, laggers, and plain old wankers from wasting your time. (this would only work if you are the HOST)
i actually like the idea of rtp. though, so far, i couldnt get one game going with it. mostly the people are afk.
there should be one big gamelobby for each game which one could join.
I bought sins about a year ago and during registration it denied my serial so now i cant update the game. how do i fix this? of course now my wife has tossed the book lol so i dont even have the original copy of the serial
