This might be premature, but if the rough descriptions of kingdoms in the Beta reflect the real, fleshed-out versions of the final game, then the Kingdom of Tarth, in my opinion, should start on the coast. The game describes them as being great seafarers, so I found that my Soverign started in the center of the continent to be a bit odd.
Agreed actually this can be played off as a race adavantige since a coast will always gurantee you one less land route to defend.
...but one less route for expansion.
Agreed, I really like this idea.
It makes sense. I remember getting annoyed if I was playing the seafaring race in FfH (can't remember what they were called) and they started inland, not just because they couldn't utilise their advantages, but also for roleplaying purposes.
