With the beta scheduled to go out TODAY I thought we should go over some of the game concepts here.
Now, as has been mentioned, the graphics for beta 1 are stripped far far down in order to focus on the core game play.
Now when you start out the game, it is just your sovereign. The world is largely covered up. As seen in this screenshot, you see the outline of land but not much else.
Eventually, you will come into contact with other players as you can see here.
Designing units (with weapons) revolves around 3 factors: How often they can attack, how much damage each attack can cause, and how much training time the selected weapon adds.
You should really cut down the bloom, seriously.

Brad/Boogie- based on the creatively awesome responses here, could we have a caption contest or two during the beta? I could see that being awesome. Or, have a contest where you guys type up something and we provide the screenshots from the game?

BTW just showed the Beta release plan to my 8 year old game designer, he was fascinated with the way it was broken out and agreed that it sounded like a GREAT way to get focused feedback. Keep the dev/programmers from having to wrap their heads around a different bit of the system for each bug .
He also said that without the "Skeleton" the game would clearly just be a puddle of "goo" and wondered if that was an SEO ploy? Get Elemental better SERPs with GOOgle?

Did I sleep through a few months and today is April 1st? That is a nice Oscilliscope though (well old at least).
I showed up here to see if I could D/L the beta since I got an e-mail saying I was charged for the game. I can't seem to figure out how though.
EDIT: I figured it out. I didn't have the "show pre-release versions" option checked. I am D/Ling the game now.

BTW, in that first screenshot from Frogboy, that's actually the sovereign being eaten by a large, electric snake.
I think there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed, but that's apparently not a problem with Elemental.
Where do you go to find the DL. I dont understand the "show pre-release version" that Martimus is talking about.
Update: NM I found it, its in the top left tab of Impulse incase anyone else needs to know.

I was promised this thing would run on any computer but I don't think if my PC can handle those graphics, can you tone down anti-aliasing
