Now I hate all the aggressors in both of these stories, but one is not like the other.
Also I have gone crazy after someone spit on me..of course that was three guys I attacked. Hell, I got hit in the face by a chick once (Well she hit me a couple times..heh) and didn't do anything, but spit..I think I could stop myself, barely.
Seriously though, hate crimes are stupid, a crime is a crime. Meh.
I don't think people need to be reminded of how stupid police can be. Even if you do not have a personal account of police stupidity, anyone who follows the news and current events will already have heard it all before. The real issue is 'non white' racism and the resulting double standards relating from said racism, why? Because that is an issue you will NEVER hear about in the news and current events.
honestly, i think the weird standards of society are all screwy
im a big guy, but generally dont resort to violence, because i know if i do, im going to get the ultimate blame even if im the real victim.
however, if someone, male, female, young or old, attacks me, i will reply with adequate force. if a girl has a baseball bat or metal rod or a knife or something, and has serious intent to use it against me or someone else, i will use whatever force is necessary to disable her. this thing of never hit a woman is ludicrous, just because of a persons gender or age... if someone is attacking you with intent and capability of seriously inguring or killing you, you fight back with everything you have...
as for hate crimes... how do you define something as such? its like, the guy was angry, so its a hate crime...
Agree! This is the way i see it - if i am going to fight somone, there can be no good result for me at all. Either i will beat them and then feel guilty for bashing them or they will bash me and i will be in hospital, and thats no good either!! It is a loose loose situation.
If i am forced to defend myself then it all comes down to how much i know about the attacker and their intentions. The more i know, then the more easy it will be to provide a reasonable and appropriate response. If i know little about the attacker and their intentions then this is a big problem, since i have no option but to assume the worst and hit them with the full force of whatever i have at my disposal - this is where the police will come along and say 'excessive force' but what other option do i have, you tell me?
