Version 1.1: First major free update (30 days after release)

Any chance of an update to the schedule?
I'm guessing we're skipping 1c and moving to 1d or later? any other longer term changes?
I think they added 1C and 1D all in one with 0.262. I'm pretty sure both AI and Diplomacy are in the game now.
It depends what do you mean by saying "are in the game". AI is in the game, but the question is: is the whole skeleton in the game (so that only some algorithms have to be tuned), or the AI is VERY basic and it looks more like a few classes declarations, without any definitions. Diplomacy, on the other hand, is mostly unfinished (imho). We only have some sliders which show us the hostility/friendliness of a civilization, but nothing more.
I saw the game and the idea looked so cool i went and bought the pre-order. Although the main site says the beta is closed until late fall 2009, i was wondering where do i get it from since we are practically in the end of the year.

I just pre-ordered and it's now changed to Spring 2010 for the next phase of beta... Maybe Spring now officially starts in January, buuuuut I doubt it.
I was wondering if the beta was still on schedule and if there would be more invites coming on Feburary 2nd as I saw mentioned in another forum?

Unless there's an unexpected problem, it should be this Thursday (4 Feb). I can't find it quickly, but I saw something from at least one dev to that effect within the last week or so.

It was Boogie in the thread talking about charming monsters. I'm guessing that didn't go through in time though as I'm still seeing v0.264. It'll come soon I'm sure, they'll say something. They never leave their testers in the dark for too long.
It will be the 18th now. Frogboy said that in the February Progress Thread. Sins: Trinity is coming out next week, so 1G can't come out until after that.

Yes, but due to various reasons there hasn't been a new beta for a while. They are skipping to beta 1G (ie 1E 1F and 1G all in one) which is to be released on Thursday
Will this allow us that have pre-ordered but not yet been able to participate in the beta yet finally be able to download the beta? Or do we have to wait till Beta 2?
No, but beta 2 will be the one after that (~2-3 weeks maybe?)
Any news on the newest beta round? I didn't hear or receive anything yesterday about pre-order invitations, etc. It's not a big deal for me, as I'm happy to wait. But I'd like to help with the beta test, as someone who has beta tested at least 20 other programs in the past, including some pretty significant software. This would be my first beta program on a game, but that's one of the reasons I'd be interested in helping out. Still, if they're keeping the beta closed to prior entries, no problem here. Beta testing (true beta testing) is a lot of work, and time consuming. So I'm OK either way...just curious about if the new phase has, indeed, started.
Beta 1G was released yesterday. Newest preorders of the game should get access next week (Thursday aprox).
Is there any way to tell if I've preordered or not? I'd love to get into beta but don't want to be charged twice if you even get charged that is for beta access.
