Just had a 3v3 with a bunch of AUS and NZ players, I played pretty poorly and copped a lot of flak from this irek guy who was playing erebus.
He basically took offence to something i said in chat (I chat a lot) and thought I was telling him how to play, he went and had a look at my stats (3 wins 8 losses, now 9) and then started swearing at me and telling me I should quit playing he'd rather AI.
I don't take stuff like that to heart, but it's annoying and playing a team game with someone like that on my team wasn't fun. If you're a new player or even just not a player who wins more games than not then I recommend staying away from this guy.
Elitist fuck would probably be my summary
i heard irek1988 supports socialized health care
Hehe, I heard Irek1988 was the Olympic Jump rope Gold Medalist in the Summer Olympics this past year!
Anyway, Not knowing/nor ever playing with Irek, I don't feel like I could down him for saying certain things, he could have been drunk (Best defense ever, believe me!), it could have been that, regardless of how good he and some of his team were doing, they still knew that they didn't have the slightest chance of winning, now not that ANYONE should be upset over one loss or stats in general, but especially if you give someone advice and they don't follow it after multiple times, or maybe it was a close game, and he thought they were losing there edge because of a few deaths...I know I can get into the game quite a bit, whether that means verbally(textually?) abusing them through chat, or just sitting here and shaking my head in my chair, people deal with it in different ways...
Not saying that trav did anything bad, he had a right to atleast getting some constructive criticism, and now he has gotten that (thanks mr. buggered!). But "Elitist Fuck" is a little strong...
I wish you much luck in the future trav, and I hope you the best with conquering the greatest most OP DG, ROOK! (lol)
If you join a game that isn't labeled new player friendly / new players only, and then do not tell anyone on your team that you are new before the match starts, then cost them the match you can't really blame them for calling you a few names.
Hello. I have played a few games with Irek, and have not experienced any rage problems. He's a good player to play with.
If your new, (less than 50 games I rekon) then tell people before the game starts. Same if you're fairly good. Tell them in case you're a noob stomper
Also ingame, typing a messsage to someone is time consuming, so often the easiest things to type come across as rage... It is a game and so both people communicating through the limited use of gamechat need to understand that. What you type can look like rage, what you read can look like rage.... then sometimes it is LOL.
As far as the AU/NZ community goes, I find Aussies much better sports than other (I'll not mention angry yanks ) and usually quite friendly.
On the point of DYING.... Consider DYING as a CRIME in the fantasy world of demigod. You are still alive in real life, and feel no pain.... But dying ingame is EQUAL to dying in real life if playing a good game is what you aim to achieve.
Do EVERYTHING you possibly can to NOT DIE.
If you want to win, then dying to lock a flag, or dying to down a tower is soooo not worth it. It's like giving your Queen for a pawn in chess... Though in chess you really can only make that mistake once. Just because you respawn, does not mean all is better. You miss out on earning gold, earning EXP, TIME to get back position, and you hand each of these crucial resources over to the enemy player.
Look, I never will defend anyone raging - it's not necessary But I will say that raging is not what I've experienced with Irek, and I think it's not what he's about.
Just for the record, I was not deliberately trying to die. Nor did I at any point believe that a death is worth locking their flag (gold mine flag on cataract), or taking down a tower.
I believed that those were important goals, and have been advised and accept that I overextended myself in attempting to achieve those goals, which led to deaths and overall failure.
At some point I probably mentioned that I achieved my goals, which makes the death ever so slightly less futile, but still not a good thing.
Also, I don't think Irek is at all contesting that he raged out on me. Read his posts, he freely accepts it and continues to rage out at my in this thread. His statement is that I deserved the rage because I wasn't playing well and I was "telling him how to play"
I'm not contesting that I didn't play well. He is right that I didn't. My statement is that not playing well is no reason to rage out at me, and I did not mean to "tell him how to play" and don't really understand why he thought I was
I've played more than 50 games of demigod, I bought the game pretty close after launch, played as erebus exclusively for a long time, and have recently come back and played less than 10 online games as Rook and am still learning him.
In the Lobby the game started only a few moments after Irek joined. Once the game had started I said pretty early on that I'd played "a bit". Which I think is a reasonable description of my experience.
It sounds like both of you need to harden the fuck up.
You lost a game, shit was said, you were both probably in the wrong.
Live and learn. Move on.
LOLS Go to Bunnings and have a teaspoon of cement.... HTFU ....
Yeh there's no resoon to rage but sometimes we do, then get over it....
I have played with a player (and I'll not name) who was quite noob. He screwed everything and then when we lost raged some. I was REAL angry and thought, "Stuff this dude" I'll not play a game he is in again....
Well it so happened that he kept joining games I was in and oh, well it was good to thrash him lots and then seee him rage his team. Then he got better at the game and started beating me..... Now he no longer rages, and no longer sucks either so I have no problem playing a game with him.
This is what happens, but it is a game so who really gives a shit... In 5 years time you'll be saying "OMG I can't believe I ever played that game, it's soooo 2009" and imagine how trivial and worthless the wins and losses wil be to us then.
I remember playing the game RAMPAGE in about 1989.... LOL I think that's when I first got nerd rage when my brother would punch my monster instead of the buildings we were supposed to destroy... If U not know the game, look it up and laugh.
HAH! gold! yeah I loved that game, and yeah it was never overly clear whether it was co-op, competitive or flat out PvP with multiple players
This tbh.
LOL @ NOOBS FROM THE AUS COMMUNITY RAGING.
prove how good you are through playing instead of bickering at each other on a stupid forum.
countless times ive had retarded people bitch at me for the most STUPID reasons you can imagine("OMG ITS UR FAULT I DIED COZ U RAN AWAY FROM ME").. /ignore ...then, 5 mins later, they realise im a good player and they stfu themselves.
if anyone knows me i am rage master mix:D
