I've seen a decent regulus build on http://demigod.wikia.com/wiki/Regulus_Harassment_DPS_%28Guide%29 that is based on angelic fury for dps and enhanced attributes to maintain mana, but haven't had much luck at all in muliplayer with this, especially on tiny creep-poor maps. Are there any builds for Regulus that make it worth skipping the use of snipe to push DGs off flags and pick off wounded runners?
In single player this build does massive DPS starting when I get the mage slayer for 8k, but in multiplayer I don't make it that far, particularly if there is another Regulus on the other team who does have snipe. I had better luck just picking random skills and using snipe.
..
Your right those are your 4 bread and butter demigods.
In a serious match you want to have atleast 2 of them in say a 3 on 3. Or 3 whichever you prefer.
However those are your typical frontliners, and all the demigods are viable as support for them as long as your frontliners are compitent.
Try taking on me and my UB partner 2v2 on livithian and ill play Qot.
Regulas in the hands of a premade equates to countless kills on the strongside, were as he is passive on his side. Not to mention serious tower pushing.
And Rook on cata is op, put him with a sedna and an erubus who know how to use towers like the rook does and defend pivotal points endgame.
Your right those are the 4 main, and you want atleast a couple. But some of the best combos involve one of the support demigods with the frontliners.
Hmm Im no Regulus expert, but and I enjoy fighting off and killing stronger demigods with him, keep in mind you are a skill based burst damage god, so use your skills. Avoid them(farm, flags) until you can get one small health(275g) pot and one sigil of vitality(500g) with you and you have >2.3k health, assuming you are <lvl7 stack 4 mines in front of your tower (chase path) then harrass(mines,aa), let them hit back and get you to about 800-1000 hp, then before running towards your minetrap pop your potion, run to your trap, if they chase they will get a few tower burns + 1200 burst damage which should leave them wide open, at this point you should both be at ~300-800hp and this is when you pop your sigil and finish him off. Expensive but, worth the gratification.
Haha I just wanted to post because DS owned me a few hours ago today and I whined like a baby, him and his friend were really good . I'll have to play you guys again with more even teams, I wasn't playing well but my team was being kinda reckless. Sorry if I sounded like an asshat but i was frustrated lol, I think i was complaining about rooks towers hahaha. Cheers.
SocialistRyan, what kind of build do you go for if you think the one posted was no good? I guarantee im not on the same level of play as a lot of you guys, but I've played against mine and snipe regs who were coordinated with their team and were a huge pain in the ass becauese they just ran away all game. Curious to see what you use becaue I like using auto attack reg but you need other skills for support against good players. Thanks .
Yup, DPS reg sucks. Don't do it.
Ever.
Thanks.
to tb master
1. if you can't handle the mana of lvl 1 angel you need to stay in single player.
2. yeah if you know how to do ranged harrassment you can easily push people off/get kills
3. 200 dmg? if thats all your doing just dont play reg because you really dont know how to play an angel build.
4. your mine trick would work once maybe twice before everyone would just send a minion into your mine wave, tele over it, slow/stun you before you got there. also if your using all your mines for that trap then your basicly useless unless someone chases you into towers. and you wont be able to send anyone back to base with regs crappy auto attack.
just look at the auto attack builds posted at the top of the strat section.
I get angel. but not at the start. I think i get it at like leval 8 or something.
I've read pretty much all the stuff on the forums about auto attack reg, I was wondering about your specific playstyle man. Most people say auto attack reg sucks but you seem to make it work well. Maybe you could just mention which favor item(s) you like? Besides AF do you get any other skills or just passives? I'd assume mines or Mob or both but I dunno. If you dont feel like sharing no worries I'm just really curious. Thanks
Auto-Attack Reg is really under-rated. If you do the build right and have decent micro with him you can be really deadly. Its all about the crit stacking.
AdvantagesMana Management is literally zero - very easy to play without worrying much about mana.Towers/Buildings = owned by this build. Probably one of the best builds out there for taking out towers.Critical Hits - If you do this build right, you can get REALLY high damage on enemies.DisadvantagesIf the enemy goes high armour it counters your build very well.Very Late game Regulus becomes a bit squishy - but this is with every build you take with him....
every players' hp >>> 2000>3000>4000>5000>6000
dps regulus' dps >>> 150 > 200 > 250 > 300 > 350
I find Regulus to be the most annoying character. It is the noob smasher. And if someone playing is noob, then it is the team failure leaving him to feed many ah' UB. So I have devised a build that I consider the best in the game for noobs and pro's alike.
Favor Item: Heavens Wrath (New accounts use Poison Dagger)
1. Snipe I
2. Scope I
3. Stats I
4. Mine I
5. Snipe II
6. Mine II
7. Maim I
8. Mine III
9. Snipe III
10 Mine IV
11 Snipe IV
12 SCOPE II
13. SCOPE III
14.Tracking Bug
15. Dead eye
16-20 Stats.
Level 1 Item list.
Banded Armor
Scaled Helm.
*try not to shop till level 5+*
Item list go:Vlemish Facegaurd (spamming mines/snipe), Boots of Speed, Wrymskin Handgaurds. Then try for mage slayer *replace Scaled Helm*, Slayer wraps *rplace banded Armor*, And Journey Man Treads replace boots of speed. Obviously Ashkindor if you can afford late game. And try to snipe alot for assists not kills, your playing support
This build is simple. You use heavens Wrath As soon as creeps reach Portal. *mana side if on cataracts*. Go to mana flag. Your level 2 once capped. Then farm that lane useing heavens wrath on your lane * if other lane is vacant because allies are in base use it there *double exp*. Keep sniping across map. Stay behind tower and keep harassing lane if you need to, but don't go out where you can be stunned or ganked. Your playing support and lane control. Your job is push a tower if you can while your allies control HP flag * most important flag*. You can cap mid after you heavens wrath creeps cause your tower is some what safe. TP scrolls if needed. And if you are facing another regulus always remember to spot him first. and watch him. If he is sniping you snipe back if it is SAFE. If your at 50% of lower on HP stay back. And last. DON"T DIE. And you will out level everyone you see, and you'll also keep your tower safe. Gl and enjoy.
what a dumb you are?? you seem like you played dps regulus only on single player. Dps regulus will work only until level 5 maybe. I have seen tons of dps regulus player and i always 100% won against the team that has dps regulus. Do you know what dps regulus's teammates say when they rage quit because they were just losing ? this. "oh my god that fuxxing noob didn't get any mines or snipe.."
what a dumb are you. learn2english, kthxbye
again you dont really say anything but useless bitching. so here are some numbers for ya.
dps reg at lvl 10; 100 (angel) + 258 dps (weapon dmg) + 37.5 (natures reck) + 9 (wyrmskin) + 83 (slayers)= 487.5 dps (with BOTS)
so at lvl 10 most demigods have about 4 or 5k health ish
so a lvl 10 ere with nimoths has 33.9% armor which only effects the 258 dps as everything else is skill dmg or bonus dmg. (and the slayer bonus dmg ofc)
turns the weapon dps to 170. and the bonus slayer dmg to 41.6 lowing your total dps to = 358.1
so our health stacking ere has about 5455 health at lvl 10
so MOTB will trigger at least once doing 600 dmg at lvl 2. it would take reg 14 hits to do over 5300 dmg. now in a one on one ere would win however if you know how to play reg you'll do ranged harassment in order to get him low enough where you can push. yes ere can tele in however with motb you should be able to out run him as long as your not over extended.
and if reg can get mageslayer (through selling other items or w/e) the builds dps increases by over 20%.
now this the best build for all demigods? no, but dps is the best reg build being that its the ONLY one that stacks well with lvls. mines aren't that powerful btw; 1200dmg isn't very impressive when you have 487dps
