Brad,
While I do love Sins and it’s a great game, why are we being given an add-on to make alliances? This has got to be the stupidest add-on you all have decided to make and one of the dumbest directions the game has gone in. If I wanted to make an alliance with the AI I would have done that from the start of the game when I created it.
Let’s face it Sins is about conquering, and having an option to make an alliance is just not needed in this game. There is no Single Player game so why bother with this Add-on when you all should have been working on adding a new more powerful bad ass race to fight against. I hate to sound ungrateful that you all are still making add-on and patching the game but I just don’t see the sense of this new add-on. Unless you are adding new ships or ability for weapons this new add-on is a complete and utter waste of time.
i love to mention this map when people talk about big maps... its just like: yep, whip em out boys... on the table, you know... =P
you want it? its pretty crazy...
i bet it is.
i meant do you want me to send it to you...
(Thread highjackers FTW =P)
What's the estimated play time for this map? 500 years?
No thanks dude
Sounds more like a prison sentence than a sins map
I beg to differ.
Let me guess, you've played that map for a klondike bar?
haha love those commercials.
the green writing hurts my eyes cant read it but sounds like a bash towards the new upcoming addon give it a chance to be finished also like the last addon it adds a new level of game play and dimision
wait, i could've gotten a klondike bar?!?!? =P
He makes a great point, and I dont get people like you...dumbarse
thats hilarious, given the rant he just had about the Vasari Phase Gates being broken and the Vasari being nerfed in general...
which due to his crudiness and lack of civility, which he is starting to show again, got lockdown.
please don't reappear. Your thread got locked and shut down because of your rudeness. Please go away and disappear.
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time-a! You silly English kanigget!!!!!
what the hell are we talking about?
be nice

Just start thinking outside the box man.
Diplomacy can have very effective offensive uses in a purely human controlled multiplayer game.
i.e. Lets use the example of a standard 6 player game on a huge map. There are three players on each team. Say it's getting close to mid-game and u have concentrated on making your empire a diplomatic one. U make your midgame gambit and spend the resources to build, (I'm gonna make up a building) an embassy in enemy territory. In that system, even if it's controlled by an enemy player, his ships will not be able to target your ships as long as they make no hostile moves and you don't attack the enemy's empire directly. As long as you keep completing whatever NPC missions that planet's govt. asks of you and you keep their loyalty rating above a certain level you have diplomatic immunity in that system.
The benefits to your team are immediately obvious. Your trade ships can go more places without fear of being destroyed. You can move ships and materiel from one planet/system to another, even in enemy held territory. Allowing you to launch surprise attacks from anywhere you can negotiate your way into. once you decide you dont feel like playing nice anymore. So for example you clandestinely build embassies on 4 planets controlled by the enemy. Those planets are linked by phase lanes into the deep rear of the enemy's main border with your team's empires. This forces the enemy team to have to redeploy defensive structures to guard against a possible strike from anywhere along those worlds you have a non-aggression treaty in.
The possible options for multiplayer diplomacy are many. Just think outside the box a little and you'll see how things can be implemented to give the game more strategic depth with actual multiplayer consequences.
I suspect making someone like you understand my post is waaaay beyond my abilities. But then my post wasn't written for people like you.
this Erictred1 guy is kinda annoying. Trolls should live under bridges, not in forums. What is the requirment for banishment? anyone know?
