This is the story of the last of the Babylon 5 mod-efforts. It's goal, to prevent another failure, by creating a place to solve our problems collaboratively. Its a port of call, home away from home, for modelers, texturers, programmers and sound engineers.

Sometimes the in-game mod loader can be a bit funky so if you can't see the mods you've installed or something isn't working then enabling the mods via the 'EnabledMods.txt' file in your 'Mods-Rebellion v1.85' folder where you installed the mods to is the other alternative. It should look like this to work:

How the project coming along?
Slow but steady
Having purchased all five seasons of Babylon 5 (currently half way through Season 4) and working my way towards all of the movies afterwards, I have to say that this mod project has definately caught my attention!
Is there a list of all available ship classes for a certain time period (say, 5 years previous and post of the series, over a 15 year span) that you can put up that you have models, textured models, no models etc for?
If it would help I could do some digging and not only get a list from various cannon and non-cannon sources but I could also grab any media concerning those if possible. Please let me know. I would like to help out where I can.
Please note that I am not a texture artist and I am only an industrial modeler (i.e. SolidWorks, Catia, AuoCAD, Pro Engineer etc ...)

As for a list of ships, I orient myself using the mongoose publishing shiplist from the tabletop game A Call To Arms. This list is sanctioned by JMS, so it's the most canon list we've got. I have EA, Minbari and Narn ship dates here for you. As for being an industrial modeler, well, you could always try to do some planet module designs which we could use as a basis for the ingame models.

Alright now that we have a list, can the OP be updated (and have the list color coded) with what we have, what we're working on, and what we need? I can then search out reference material for any item that is currently in need and does not have visual references.
Looks wonderful, when you have another adjusted narn UV post it on DMG.

@koobaltWill do! How about the drazi fighter? That should be fairly easy to optimise so I can give it to you in the next days.
@SteinerXIf possible, please give me the heightmap (grayscale map) so I can calculate the normalmap myself (and bake AO into the Texture from the heightmap like in the Hyperion or Artemis 2.0) and please make parts of the color texture (the cl file) that contain lightning effects separate layers (e.g. if you want a part of the texture to depict light on a model such as a signal light or a spotlight) and give me the psd so I can render light effects based on 3d lights into the texture in their stead.

As for the version, the original has 6 green stripes, if we can do 4 or 8 and I think 8 looks better!
Thanks! Still very early Tex - Yes original has 6 stripes, but current segmentation allows for 4 or 8 - agreed version 2 looks better than 1:)

@LoneRanger1Not that I know of. If you want you can start one and we include it in the thread header and on the Homepage. But in it's current state I don't think it is feasible. Too manny things missing and no balancing yet.
Is it too late to change my mind? I came to the conclusion that I liked version 1 more. It looks more heavy and bulky and real I think.

I'm really excited about this mod. I've know about it for a while now, but just tried it out today. I thought of a few things, that you're probably aware of, but maybe not. So here they are.
-When I play the Narn Regime, I get a planet with out constructors, and there for am unable to play. I saw the computer have a few ships (which looked awesome btw) but they all went too far out of a gravity well and were lost to the vastness of space.
-Vorlon and Shadow computers aren't very active. (May be by design, since they are super powerful and were more behind the scenes in the show.)
-Minbari computer was able to build a (sweet looking) cruiser, but it just hung out at the asteroid one jump away from its planet. It stayed pretty inactive the whole game.
-Centari appeared to only have one model from the show, (something you are likely aware of since you are the one making the mod). I didn't play them much, so there are probably more there.
-Babylon 5. I build each of the four options of star base, but did not see an option for the iconic station from the show. Is it hidden somewhere or not yet implemented. (I swore I saw screen shots of it.)
-Computer over all did not seem very active when I played against them. Maybe I just need to get some friends.
The models that are in the game just look amazing. I mean. Dude. Oh and when I enabled the mod and got the sound sequence from season 5 opening I got goosebumps. This is going to be super awesome. Thanks for putting in the work you have Tobiwan (and others). Good luck and the gods speed to you. I wish I could offer something to assist you but I have no technical skills in this area.

Oh hey again. So whilst I was alt tabbed posting on the forum, the constructors spawned and now I'm building the awesome Narn Fleet. Going to kick some Centauri ass.
babylon 5 is one of my favorite shows and i would love if you guys ported the newest mod to entrenchment,that being said the previous version you have out for entrenchment after about 5 minutes will cause a mini dump and crash sins.
I know this happens sometimes when they start chasing the fighters. Don't know why, but we'll look into this. As for the constructor, no idea why it took so long.
They are not fully implemented yet, and I'm not sure the AI will ever be very good with them
We have to look into this later (I don't have much time playtesting at the moment, perhaps you want to assist us in this) but I've had many a deadly encounter with Minbari when I played EA
There is only one model at the moment, sorry. (And thanks to Timmaigh for giving us this wonderful model)
Not implemented yet. The model exists on Thoumsins harddrive but he has not finished modelling and UV and textureing haven't even begun.

@jin akanishiSorry pal, Babylon 5 was about diplomacy and I don't intend to go back. The few bucks for diplomacy are well worth it IMHO.
I'll definitely keep play testing it for you. Let me know if there is anything specific you want tested, and I just keep throwing stuff on the forum if I find something.
Wonderful. Lategame lag concerning the refuel mechanic will be important in the next version. Other than that, everything you can find is fine.
