Lately it has been my observations that consistently over half of the custom games are made up of premade teams hosting a game and waiting for some PUGs (basically noobs, because experienced PUGs know not to get involved) to stomp.
Why the hell don't you guys play against each other?!?
Que "boo-hoo, there's no team automatch" in 3-2-...
Of course some premades play each other. That doesn't need any evidence. Am I somehow expressing myself super badly here? English is not my native language, so perhaps you can help me.
I was wondering why over half of the custom games were made up of premade teams waiting in their hosted games as opposed to joining the other premades already there waiting in Cataract at 3/6. Some others had noticed the same thing.
Where do you get all this "every premade is the coming of the Antichrist" shit you try to keep pinning on me for God knows what reason?
Edit: also, I'm not speaking of your team or anything. I'm making a general observation. If you join and battle other premades, good for you. If you don't I wondered why. Woppin and vexerz provided those reasons.
I don't know what got some panties so twisted as I in no way implied that I was talking about every single premade ever and I never said that premades are a bad thing or should not be or anything like that. I've never claimed that (no matter what SoFFacet fantasizes about).
Perhaps my less than perfect grasp of English is to blame and I don't get some nuances or something, but I already said that premades are inevitable and completely natural in a game like this and there is nothing wrong with playing with friends.
My Sedna heal AoE didn't show any damage done when I did it right next to the citadel...
Edit: though perhaps the citadel graphic somehow prevented them showing?
if you dont care about getting better, you definately wont improve. you need to question why things in the game happen, for example "why did i die?", "why did we lose that match", "what spells are they going to use on you if u start fighting?".
doesnt that make you learn that it is a team game, so if you work together well you could win?
being in such a small community(AUS) your going to have to get used to it. there isnt a big enough player base for us yet.
Indeed if you never face people that are better than you are... then you can't improve your own game much at all...
people dont care about improving. they want to jump on and have a nice fun game. if i stay beginner forever i dont care i just want fun 30-40 minutes. if i play a 1 sided game vs a better team i dont give a butt if i improved because i dont have ambition to turn myself into a allstar player so stop telling me all is well because im improving or i recieved a $1 in the mail or some other simply -WONDERFUL- useless thing. its like your doing me some kind of favor lol O.G.THANKS
if you want to premade thats cool just tell the truth if i ask and dont hide it. if you asked me a question that i refused to be upfront about im sure you would hate it also.
if a team plays with eachother game after game they will have an advantage over a team that just met and dont take bites from eachothers sandwiches at school. this should be common knowledge i dont know what people are thinking. trying to argue this is just BOLONGA!
You make it sound as if it's unfair and they're cheating or something. That they choose to play together on multiple occaisions is surely none of your business. What about a group of friends who like yourself don't care whether they win or lose and aren't interested in improving their play? They aren't on voice, they have no predefined strategies, they're just a group of friends playing the game. Are you going to have a hissy fit at them as well?
if i play a 1 sided game vs a better team i dont give a butt if i improved because i dont have ambition to turn myself into a allstar player so stop telling me all is well because im improving
Whether you have premades or not, some games are going to be one sided, that's part of playing any game.
There is no magical automatcher that can find someone close to your skill level who will have good latency to you and match you with them every time. Less so in a team game such as DG. If you're so casual about playing why be concerned about losing? Maybe you should just enjoy the game whether you win or lose rather than giving other people grief for playing the game the way they like.
Jesus, these PUG vs. premade threads make my head ache. And they all seem to be iterations of the same arguments; it's like reading the empiricists vs. the rationalists debate the same things over and over again for hundreds of years.
Here's the gist:
1. PUG players want to know in advance whether they're facing a premade team. This is a fair request. If you are a premade team (and I do not think most premades do this), there's no excuse for lying if someone joins your lobby and asks if you're a premade. I can understand that this is impractical, but I don't know why people get so riled up by this reasonable request.
2. Same if you're a noob and someone asks you if you're one. You are being selfish by hurting your PUG team; not all PUG players want to play teacher and help you learn.
3. It's not practical right now for premades to advertise that they're premade in game name for a variety of reasons listed above. Stat hounds won't play a premade host because they will be concerned that the host might quit to save stats, etc.
4. If you're a PUG and don't want to face premades, you have to stop whining here and learn to figure out in advance how to know if you're facing a premade. It's not hard. Don't flame or insult people in the lobby for playing with friends, just leave quietly.
5. if you're a premade facing PUGs, you ought to kick noobs on opposing side, especially if you advertise your lobby as "pro" or "no noobs". The PUGs on the other side will greatly appreciate it, because there are PUG players who like to play vs. premades, but understandably don't want to do so if they're stacked with noob twins.
Finally someone that gets it.
6. PUG players that have knowingly joined a match vs a premade need to stop rage quitting after they get killed a couple of times. It ruins that game. You are the one that opted to join in vs a premade, now take it like a man or vote to concede.
