I have been looking through the post within the forum, it seems there is a general bash against Frogboy, Stardock and Gas Powered games. I would like to say sorry from myself personaly for any negative comments i have made on the forum, you guys are trying really hard at making this game perfect, and given enough support i think you will make this game great. Keep up the good work guys

Seeing as this thread isnt about demigod per se and about all the bs whiney fans post and flame SD/GPG/Frogboy i'll just say this.
Everybody likes alittle curtosy. You all work, or i assume you do or will at some point in your life. I cant tell how much it means to say thanks for example. We all work hard at our jobs, and we all deal with a holes on a regular basis. Unfortunately frogboy hears from alot of them on these forums and i reckon he's gotten sick of sifting through all the sh... Has anyone else noticed he hasnt been as present in recent days?
If you have some gripe with the game bring it up in a constructive manner, at least have that amount of decency.

The connection problems were SD"s or atleast the software they bought. If you have played supcom you know that the engine is just working properly and the dropration is around 1 to 100. No I do think GPG should be more active on the forums, but what you are saying is just not true. Also, what were your problems with supcom?
I think that what the people for whom the game doesn't work right and feel the need to flame on the forum don't realize is that for every single game that is out there, there's a subset of customers for which that game simply doesn't work (any modern game anyway). Every single game forum I've seen, there's a few people who feel the same way. I wouldn't pay too much attention to them, they need a good flogging. Now there are some games that deserve bashing but not DG. The way SD fixed DG's connectivity problems _in_a_single_month_ is totally unheard of in the industry. As Frogboy said, if you're still having connectivity issues now, fix your damn router, forward some ports, and complain to your ISP.
Oh, OK, it is SD/Frog's fault that multiplayer sucks then.
Supcom problems? Did u play it 1st day??? Performance was HORRIBLE due to memory leaks all over the shop and GPGnet in the first few weeks were pretty atrocious... well, not as bad as Pantheon but so many RTSs before had done it much better.
The man brought countless dissapointment to thousands of fans and he's worthy of praise? You can look at the beta discussions and see that countless bugs from the beta made it into release unaddressed with little concern. He messed up and hes paying for it. You don't deserve praise until you at least fix the broken game, AND +1 somehow? Effort is never rewarded in this world, even if it is earnest. I'd like to be wrong about him, but he is at least taking Demigod in the right direction now, even if it is slowly.

Yeah, thank you Froboy because you, as a publisher, allowed GPG to release such a unfinished and broken game.
Well, Frogboy deserves praise for some things and criticism for others. He deserves praise for doing a good job communicating with the public and in general being up front and honest about it. But he does deserve criticism for some of the low quality stuff that is still in the game (bugs and whatnot). I think that some criticism is also warranted for releasing a game that is lacking many standard features that every online game should have nowadays.
You can play the blame game between GPG and SD all you want. But the bottom line is that SD hosts the official forums and its their company's symbol that I see first every time I start up the game, so they have to deserve some of the criticism for how many things have gone wrong with DG. And yes, despite all of DG's positives, a lot of things have gone wrong with it that really shouldnt have.
Its probably not fair to blame Frogboy for everything just because he is the guy nice enough to be communicating with us all the time. But he is the leader, and the leader is going to take the blame for what happens under him even if its not really his fault. Thats just part of being the leader.
