When a Star with a mass of 1.4 times the amount of our sun goes supernova and collapses into itself, the core crushes itself to a point of infinite density in an infinently small space.
Also: Several large masses of protostars could meld with the surrounding nebula to form a Black Hole
When several stars collide, also forms a black hole.
Don't doubt my knowledge of the cosmos. From the ages of 5-14 I was fascinated by the cosmos... but since Last year, I've learned nothing new. Discovery kinda stopped with Dark Matter, Nuetrinos and Dark Energy.

still the fact remains how does a black hole end up around a red dwarf one of the longest lasting stars. should go into more detail of where a black whole came from if it comes out of no where thats just unrealistic unless my planet was near a blue star or other dense stars.

Killz... there are innumberable amounts of black holes that wander the Universe. We can tell because they manipulate the light behind and around them as they travel. The fact that your star is so old means that it obviously is nearby to another star or star system, that absorbed the remaining amount of hydrogen and helium in the area. Therefore: if your star was as old as you stated, it's fair to reason that the nearby system would've decayed into a black hole or a nuetron star, at least. Furthermore: if your star had been formed from a supernova explosion, the weaker type that fail to form even nuetron stars, that would mean that it would have to be in a high-conentration area of nebula, meaning that, once again, there's a nearby black hole. That's not even getting into the rogue black holes left over from the Big Bang.
Granted. All you have to do is surround your vessel of choice with tachyons, particles that can travel faster than light.
