I've seen tons of people complain but no one has stopped to smell the roses - this game is LOTS of fun with good content. I for one will not give up on Demigod as long as there is good support for it.
Post your relevant praises here, Thanks
The people not complaining have no time to post in the Forum... they have to play the whole day long
Haha i told a clanmate from Warhammer: Online about Demigod, he bought it the next day, didn't login into War since then... and i think he wasn't in school today to play Demigod instead (don't do that!!!)
btw... i think i should do some evening school or sth. to refresh my english... edited this post 5 times and i think it's still horrible
Kids don't do Demigod, stay in school?
Bump, how about instead of complaining about demigod you say what you like about it?
Pretty particle effects
well there is a demigod thts half naked >.>
Half naked? you call that half naked?
Anyways yeah, I'm having a good time with the game. And I dont mind playing customs, so I usually get games going without much of a problem.
She's pretty much fully nude with tentacles.
But, moving on, great game! There are some kinks to be worked out, but that's normal for a game. Lots of potential!
This game is a lot of fun. Simple as that.
Great team based game. I haven't played a game before where the tide of a battle can change directions so quickly when good team work is involved.
The maps are beautiful and all are well layed out.
There is a hero for every play style, and regardless of the opinions of some, I think that every character can dominate in their own way. Thanks to the skill trees, there are at least two builds for each hero which allows a lot of room for customizing your play time with each.
Overall, it's been a while since I've been hooked to a game and I can't wait to see the game grow.
i'm addicted. The technical issues can be annoying at times, but I'm totally willing to put up with it. Besides there's been huge improvements, and I think we can expect to see more
*edit*
Hope to see some official mod support some time soon though!!
I'm one of the people who actually browse the forums and love demigod to death. I play my own mmorpg (EVE-online another great game) and since i got demigod i've barely been on.
I have technical issues but thats normally in menus i've never had the game crash DURING a game only while booting up menus which a 10 second control alt delete close fixes. Then i just boot back up.
Great balance too. Next to supreme commander (another great game also by GPG) this games balance is the best i've played. All the demigods can be equally as powerful/useful in games. (I'd like to see those extra 2 demigods be exceptionally good and more support oriented cause we need that. I don't like dying.)
Maps are great and very well done/thought out. Giving a more tactical aspect than i had expected.
Me being a heavy RTS player and seeing this as more of an RPG like WoW I'm still very interested. The strategy is still there but with all the fun of Grinding like crazy (all you WoW players should groan when i say this, all of you who don't play it. It's pretty much sitting there and farming monsters... for 6 hours a day... probally 2 or 3 weeks of that... just to get levels and max out... doing the exact same thing... 6 hours... shoot me boring)
Awesome graphics. I really like how I can zoom out and figure out a strategy then zoom in and feel like I am playing a 3rd person shooter.
Really good balance, yeah people complain about classes being OP but the truth is if you look at the overall statistics almost every class is around 50%, that says a lot.
Build development, there are multiple ways to play the same class, furthermore your build fluctuates depending on who you are playing against (and your skill level)
Skill matters more than gear (for the most part)
i'm gonna praise SD for vastly improving the broken connection code in an amazingly short time frame. the improvements they made solved about 98% of my problems.
i'm gonna praise GPG for a great game design and a great looking game. i eagerly await new maps and DG's.
i'm gonna praise the members of this community who have a good attitude and are fun to play with. thanks for being cool guys, you make it worth sticking around.
I am totally and utterly infatuated with this game. Absolutely awesome - really love being on the ride with it.

Maybe the will notice?
Casually, I haven't had this much fun since Total Annihilation (hurray for Chris Taylor). Competitively, I haven't had this much fun since early Guild Wars. And my eyes haven't been so pleased by a game since I don't know when (kinda like when I first laid eyes on SNES Super Mario after years of NES Mario... total awe!!!)
IMHO, the game works decently well right now (though Pantheon and Skirmish still have some issues). Anyone (and by anyone, I mean most people, as some have legit issues) who isn't a total R-tard can get a game going in custom. It seems that most (again, not all) who are complaining about connection issues have no idea how their computer and network is working on even the most basic level. Unlike the XBawk, it takes at least some computer savy to get games to run well (I think I've tweaked computer settings for just about every game I have ever owned). This age of instant gratification is annoying. People need to be patient, supportive, and a little more laid back. The world will not end because you didn't get all of your favor points.
Anyway, keep up the hard work GPG and SD. And Frogboy, if you are reading any of these decent posts, know that there are many in the community who support all of your effort and time. Maybe more cookies from your fans are in order!
While mp can be fun (or frustrating depending upon whose going to connect), the SP for me has been a great time.
For someone who had never played DOTA, at first I found the normal AI to be very hard. It felt like an accomplishment the first time I finally beat a team. Playing all the maps and then adding 1 Hard AI to the mix, I was able to finally beat it, then 2 Hard's and then my friend and myself were doing 2v4 Hard.
This past weekend, I have graduated to Nightmare. I can now handle myself + 2 hard AI's on my team with 3 Nightmare's on the other team. It's an intense back-n-forth battle, especially now that I'm having to help out my AI brethren.
The thing is, with the number of DG's, I just randomly assign DG's to my team and the other team, and combined with the maps, this gives me quite a number of variations to play and keep me happy. Not to mention, I read up on ideas for different DG's and strategies and I try those variations out.
Not everyone is a MP god. People have complained about no campaign, or SP, but I'm here to tell you SP is alive and well and can keep you entertained for hours on end.
The game is gorgeous, the gameplay is what you make of it. You don't need MP to get your entertainment value.
Great game.
Wish I wasnt at work so I can play
If you can post, then i think you can have a quick game
For me the game is just fun. I look forward to see what other demigods they come up with.
Yeah agreed.
Awesome heroes that are unique in design and play styles.
Pretty good balance between heroes and items that support a wide range of tactical options.
Game rewards good strategy as well as twitch skill.
I think a lot of people who have negative things to say about the game are only posting here because they like the game and want it to improve. The average guy who logs on once, hates it, and then never plays again probably isn't going to make an account and write about how it sucks.
Just assume complainers have lots of nice things to say about all the stuff they're not complaining about.
True enough.
I wouldn't gripe if I didn't care.
