Well... seeing as I apparently have lots of time to post while I wait for a disconnect, here we go. I'm at the load screen for pantheon. I get a hard crash... the new magical crash that doesn't leave any dialog boxes occurs (I posted on this in bugs with logs previously). Anyway, I now have the invalid login issue. Presumably, the game still thinks I'm logged in and is denying access when I try to login again.
Stardock - can you ellaborate on what the time outs are? If the above occurs, how long do I have to wait until the system realizes I'm not connected? Is there anything in the works that might resolve this or will it always be an auto-timeout issue?

Just to clarify - this post was about the outage that lasted approximately 13 hours where regardless what you did, you could not log back in. Per Frogboy, the issue was caused by their ISP doing some maintenance without informing them. If the ISP had not been doing maintenance, then perhaps this would have been very similar to the invalid username/password issue that many have encountered in the past.
Anyway, SD let us know what happened and the 13 hour lockout is over.
6 hours of "invalid login/password".
2 monthes of errors. (bought it on 14 of april).

Yep, it was "Out of memory" before problems with login.
Having the same issue, going on 5 hours now. Tried it a few times, figured it was the same old thing that you had to wait for and thought I just wasn't waiting long enough. So I popped in my copy of Princess Diaries and then The Notebook and after those two movies were over I tried again and it failed, I'm one unhappy dude right now.

game is fine if you over look the connectivity issues such as local oz/eu proxie servers/games disaparing/desyncs/simultaneous login bug/not connecting even with proxie.. apart from alttab bug/pathfinding/organised 2v2/clans
oh wait .. maby the game isnt fine then ? these are just the issues ive experianced first hand.

i got 1 of 3 games crushed on my win xp 64 in last 1.5 monthes, its more then 40 crushed games with lose status and erased favor. now im having "out of memory" and "invalid login / password". I bought that game for 40 bucks, when it sells for 10 on russian game stores. I though it will help the company wich published sins of the solar empire. But...
They just published an buggy game and for now im felling like in cinema with that bug resolving videos. how long will it takes? 1-2-3 a year? How long will i see that bug resolving video reports from star bugs? Dont say me that they dont know about buggs in game when start selling it. 1.5 months of crushes - its a big time period for forgive them. All game code is buggy. They solving one problem and generate another one.
I can't count all the problems in this game... Problems are everywhere ((( It could be a good game without so much curved hands...

Oh wait lets look at this shall we. All of the problems (except hte Alt Tab and pathfinding) are netcode related. The other two are pretty annoying but not total gamebreakers. Many other good games have been released with issues, though the netcode with this release has to take the biscuit. Pity as it is genuinely a good game and fun to play.
It's a nice game, fun to play and all. Even the connection issues so far are not bothering me too much, but the fact that im unable to play and i don't have any idea how long do i have to wait, is making me angry as hell...

Stardock should try to fix some things but leave the game as it is right now.
BUT, they should work on a expansion. Everyone who bought this version should get that game for free.So there will be 2 versions 1 with and 1 without basic.Then in the expansion there should be wel figured out p2p connectivity or just a serverside connectivity.Plus some extra maps and demigods.We happy and they will have a finished product wich only needs support instead of rewriting.
pro's and con's:
+ real good finished product+ more expanded game (more maps more demigods)+ no more connection problems+ no more alttab bugs etc+ free expansion
- long waiting time- still connection problems as long as the expansion takesWell i hope they will consider this because this is a real good game (at least the concept) but as it is right now it doesn't work out.

i paid 14e for demigod. most games are around 45e. its a new game, from a small company, with... a crappy netcode. so what?! there are not much games with a "good" peer to peer netcode, but its important to get games running this way.
sure, it need improvement and some issues are hardly shitty, but overall, its generally playable, its fun, and ... its nothing lifedepended.
so stfu whining around bout its a shitty game. if its so shitty.. wheres your problem that you cant login?

The only thing Stardock is bringing right now is frustration. So fuck you.
Same problem out of memory crash and now can't log in. First major issue with this game have been playing a lot for a few days with no issues, and there have been WAY more buggy games than this at similar stages so I'm not gonna go mental complaining unlike others. However if you cannot play at all with your friends which is the main thrust behind this game, then expect complaints and a lot of complaints until it is fixed.

I'm wondering will Stardock give us something in exchange for that damn long waiting? For instance I'd be gratefull if they cleared up my stats from the "losses" I got from their coding errors... Just to mention it: I got about 10 losses this (and last as well) pantheon just because game crashed on start-up while I was watching the stats of the players I'm connecting to.
Whatever...
