Where do you report people going aganist the terms of use "With screenshots? Cheating/Language/Etc.

Anybody who wants to trash talk me during a game is welcome to. I'll probably laugh.
Doesn't seem worth it. If someone is capable of insulting you online, you should probably check into why you're letting someone you don't know get to you rather than get all pissed off and want to get them banned. Seeing people get their panties in a bunch over words is quite funny. Two people in one game I played were getting all mouthy so I got mouthy back and I really hit a chord with them. It was funny, because I wasn't even trying to be offensive, but was at the same time to instigate them and get them to mess up. Funny thing was they took it so seriously (after they were being how they were) and were messing up a lot. We won that game because they were too caught up on a bunch of harmless words. Getting death threats I could understand reporting it, but someone just simply swearing at you, really? Are your virgin ears hurt? It's REALLY not that big of a deal. I see it a lot and just ignore it. Just remember, the time they spend trying to insult you, they aren't playing.
You do not understand the point Xero. It's not the fact some of us dislike being disrespected "regardless" of the fact it is online it's because these people will mouth off for no reason and don't think the rules in place matter. If you cannot understand it think of an actual interaction with a person. If they disrespected you there would be a consequence if you are the type of person to not laugh when people insult you "unable to do anything else". I won't listen to a person mouth off to me or anybody else to that fact because they are simply a distance away. If you think these words are harmless go to your mother and say some of the things these people say, or go to a stranger that is bigger than yourself on the street and say them. Insulting people online is not ok that is why we have rules against it. Please don't misunderstand this... it isn't the swearing that is a problem.... its insulting people which is. There is a difference. Saying "dammit" compared to "You’re a chicken head" is both completely different. One statement is insulting one is swearing.
As I said before there are rules against this. I'm not looking for people to get in an uproar I simply want people to know they don't have to take people insulting them. If it doesn't bother you when someone insults you then why cast your opinion here on this thread since it is clearly not directed to you? I can't see why you would want people to know your ok with it "people being insulted". Rules are rules if you think it is unfair to report someone for insulting another then provide a valid reason that person should take it; would you just accept it if you were in real life? If so remember that everybody isn't like you and will do something when insulted in real life. Hopefully I was able to clear up the misunderstanding between insulting & swearing.
How many h's is that? Sounds hard to type . . .
It never ceases to amaze me how the "mature and proud to tell everyone they can of it" are always the whiniest. They should implement a /ignore to stop spammers otherwise grow up, stop looking at it as some sort of power struggle between you and preceived "kids", and play the game.
A report option should be really needed , i dont know how it could be enforced since theres no official servers but seeing the nice communitiy we have here it should be the minimum. Ignore you say ? you could but it certainly ruin the game atmosphere , Those people are insuting and swearing cause they feel all powerful on the internet. They know they wont get my fist in the face.
Report and ban their account that would be perfect.
Most of the guys online are not even civilized ,hardly anyone say hi when joining a team , you already know you have bad players, when no one is speaking at all.
Even in custom game lobby you know theres people to avoid when you see "no retards, no noobs" as server name you can be sure the host is certainly one of it or both more likely.
Many have absolutely awful computer and ruin everyones game with negative simspeed them blame lag and get extremely vocal about it , insults other with ping > 200ms,then insults stardock and gpg , not knowing what a ping and what simspeed is.
It looks like 90% of the players met there have not the education a 4 year old should have , no technical knowledge at all, it really worries me.
Everyone find it normal and dare not to complain about it ! Forums warriors will copy paste their epic pics and call you whiners or a fag, i suggest to go watch the movie idiocracy , its certainly the way we are going.
I'd say the opposite, that maturity is being able to ignore the idiots, which there are so many of on the internet. Rather than sinking to their level and being offended by petty words.
Sinking to their level? How is reporting a clear violation of the terms of use sinking to their level? That's like saying if someone was clearly hacking if you report them your being a baby. Arguing this does nothing since the rules are clearly laid out. Rules are in place for a reason.
Also there is a problem of people claiming to be mature when you ignore something, but wouldn't it be the mature thing to do if you did something constructive about it? When a kid throws a rock threw your window do you simply laugh it off because you don't wish to cause a fuss over a single window? No you bring the kid to their parents, and have them replace your window which in turn will get the kid grounded, and MAYBE he might learn a lesson "Example insulting others on a game might get you banned"? This type of thinking is what is wrong with parents now a day they simply do not enforce proper behavior. It is wrong to insult people, and everybody should already know that.
Every action has a consequence.
Sinking to their level in the hacking case would be to do it yourself. Of course you should report cheaters, of which there are none in this game due to the restrictions of desync.
If someone insults you in real life you either take it, as any mature adult would, or as you seem to suggest, you take some action. If someone insults you in the street do you go to the police? I certainly hope not, they have more important things to deal with. Similarly I'd really like the people at Stardock and GPG to have their time wasted as little as possible by this kind of issue.
And yes, an in game ignore function would be nice.
Woppin your example is flawed since it isn't illegal to insult others in real life on the street, but is against the rules in demigod. This thread is becoming tiresome arguing pointless conversations.
In closing if you wish to report anybody for any number of reasons you can use the forum report tool, or shoot a e-mail to gripeline@stardock.com
I find it hard to believe that so many of you think that online interaction is somehow seperate or beyond the normal simply due to the large portion of anonymity it grants each individual. Yes, it isn't in person....does that mean you think it's 'ok' and 'just fine' if someone starts sending you death threats in the mail, or if you get insulting text messages and or phone calls? The internet can be the same level of medium in terms of communication as the aforementioned, yes it tends to be less personal due to the nature of everyone's anonymity....however I believe to disregard all sembalance of rule and decency due to that goes to show just what level of morality many of you have learned over the years.
Remind me that I should become a jaded adult whom apparently is too 'mature' to participate in a detterant method so that I can enjoy my online gaming experience more. As it is a waste of both my time and the companies' time to punish those whom would make the gaming experience less enjoyable for a portion of thier audience.
Hell, I shouldn't even report people whom are botting (to those whom can kick them) on Unreal Tournament, because there are methods in place to weed them out, and why should I care if I'm getting beaten in game?
What I am hearing from most of you, is that due to being online and anonymous, any mature person would simply ignore it....why even bother responding to this person's forum post then? Why would you ever even care if you won a demigod match or not, it's online, it's just a game - it doesn't matter at all.
If it's simply to feel superior or as though you can manipulate those there in....That has never been difficult, I've said it before.....It's difficult to communicate with others, and extremely easy to manipulate.
I am amazed at your level of indifference and 'maturity' - remind me to find my way to buddha as you have.
Depend on how you define cheat. In narrow sense it does not include bug exploting but deliberate game code modification. Narrow cheating is not possible in games like this because any change of your in-game code will result in descrpencies between the game state information which your comptuer sends to the others and the game state on other's machine. Any modification of packets in the network to change any stats will also cause desyncs. The only way to cheat is to simultaneously hack and take control of all other player's PC and modify the game somehow on all of them simultaneously at the same time or prior to game starts.
