I had my cheap old mouse die on me in the middle of a demigod game which lead to and interesting scramble for an alternative before the otherside killed me. Miraculously, I didn't die. Anyhow, I ended up buying a MS Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 since it was 50% off. It took me a while to adjust to the new mouse. I ended up disabling a few of the features to turn it into a basic 3 button mouse + scroll wheel. That got me wondering what kind of mice other people use for gaming and what mouse button and scroll wheel settings they use.
So I'm asking you guys, which mice do you use and what configuration settings do you have set?
My usb ports are on the right side of the notebook. You have no idea how terrible this is when using a wired mouse, or a wireless mouse with a big receptor. This mouse solved my problems
Ooooh. Nice microwheel on that one..... Yummy
how's the arthritis doing, do you notice a difference?
Logitech cordless for me to. No numbers either.?
Microsoft Sidwinder X8. The ability to charge the mouse while playing if I need to is awesome. My old wireless mouse died on me in-game and it sucked as I scrambled around my room trying to find another mouse. Needless to say the game didn't end well : The blue light is awesome too :3
Logitech MX Revolution here also. I love love love this mouse. (And I'm someone who's bought many mice/keyboards until I found one I liked. Now if Logitech would just clone it but at 2k+ dpi I'd be in heaven. Only downfall of MX Rev is it's only an 800dpi mouse, although it tracks extremely accurately even with sensativity near maxed. (I always get comments when others try and use my mouse about how insanely sensative I have it set)
Logitech MX Laser
I use cheap corded optical mice on my computers, and don't have a problem with any of them. I also use cheap corded keyboards (PS/2 connectors for both mice and keyboards).
I use a MS Wireless Laser 6000 (came with keyboard), works fine for me, and batteries seem to last forever. For both my laptop and netbook, I use the same MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, which works fine for me as well.
Logitech G9
I used to have a Logitech Cordless Laser mouse that jumped all over the screen on most surfaces, I recently upgraded to a Logitech G5, and it's perfect! I don't have much room to use the mouse, but on max dpi i only need to think for the move to happen. It also has that weight cartridge thing, but i'd like make it even more heavier than is possible (36 grams).
