If you find someone in game behaving utterly horrible, feel free to take a screenshot and post it here.
This thread is Not pointless, for posts just like these.
Thanks Kitty, you man'd up enough to apologize. We all have our bad moments.

this thread is not shameful enough any more. All this off topic, not being a jerk stuff... meh
lolololol this thread is epic, 2 months after 1.2 was supposed to be released and still nothing, stardock = fail. I will never ever purchase anything from them again..
To begin with i went to stardock went site originally to purchase Demigod, then I bought from the website and it tells me my credit card info is incorrect, to check it again and try again. I check the info, and once again submit the order, it says the same thing that my credit card info is incorrect. Well it double charged me and I had to call to get the charges cancelled, etc.. anyways I bought the game from newegg or ebgames online, and my cc info went right through like normal, so i should have known right then when I was just trying to buy the game, it had epic failure written all over it.
Just for FYI Demalii...GPG are producing tha patches not SD. SD are the publishers....not the developers.
I'm sure SD is not the only place/time you have suffered weirdess when using a CC....but, your fully entitled to your opinion....
I've quit out of lobbies when seing Kitty in them, after a eeringly similiar experience to Lukas', the two of us and a player with less than five games logged losing to a 2man team with an experienced 3rd.
If I remember correctly, he topped it off with a "1v3, gg" at the end that time.
Was back on September 23rd though, glad to hear he's had a change of attitude since then
So I thought I'd give DG another try tonight; been quite a while, and I seem to have to nothing but ragequiters and sneaky premades in the past. I see a friendly, casual looking game, so I join. I keep thinking that something about the game feels familar. 5 mins in, I notice the Vampire Lord teleporting across the cracks in the exile map constantly. It's then I remembered reading something about an exploit for that map and the Vampire Lord on this forum in the past.
Sure enough, "Lorlor" & "Warcrytruth" are premades; using the exile map and the Vampire Lord's exploit on it. They were pros at using the exploit; obviously very experience in tearing up random pugs they lured in. Play them at your own risk. . .
People like this are just another reason I won't be on for another month or 2, if ever again.

That's hardly an exploit, you can do the same thing with the Cloak of Night or warpstone.
Can you be banned for accusing someone of desycing games (when you haven't played with them in quite some time - eg prizmsuft is acting like a complete asshole - no proof, no reason for his behavior, just acting like a douche)? Just to clarify, this guy joined my game, said what he said in the picture, then left. Came back AGAIN 30 seconds later, talked some more shit and left.
I would say that EB and generals teleporting across to the crystal areas on Exile and Crucible are exploits. To me an exploiting is when you become aware that a game mechanic isn't functioning as intended and you use it to your advantage. I'm fairly certain that those maps weren't designed with an intended insane movement advantage for those aware of the opportunity.
That being said, you've gotta just play the game as-is. If you don't like people warping across those gaps then don't play those maps. You should play however gives you the greatest advantage and if/when it gets changed in a patch you just adapt to the new changes as they come.
No amount of complaints will keep people from warping across those areas, it's not a winnable argument when it comes down to it.
Doesn't seem like an exploit, I mean, isn't it an obvious advantage of a short range teleport? You 'cut the corner's on maps like cataract and leviathan all the time, going over a short gap just seems to be the next step. That'd be like saying that mass Charm + FLag lock to prevent an interrupt is an exploit.
everything ur enemy do is an exploit
everything you do is an ability
If you lost game too fast they are hackers
If the games takes too long they doing it on purpose and you have right to quit
if they got the first kill you have right to quit coz they are pob hackers
Hackers teleport can heal them for 2000 or hit u for 600
Hackers can get 30% of their health out of nowhere
hackers are always premade even if they do 1v1
hackers use exploits called citadel upgrades
hackers always kill you when you typing (the most common excuse for dying with no reson)
hacker can hit you with lighting even if u r right next to your crystal
hackers can active a cheat that makes them suddenly run very fast
hackers can manipulate game files to put an oak shield on themself even with no oak in the game
you are always oom, and your enemies always have infinite mana because they are hackers
the enemy always outlevels you because they hack
hackers can send trojans to your teammates, make it look like they said "screw this im out" and force quit their demigod app
hackers can get rid of fog of war, which is how they always seem to know exactly where you are
hackers can make their minions unkillable
Hackers also do 650 damage to you with a teleport scroll!
I even once saw a hacker regenerate half his health without a casting animation. Damn hackers.
irek:
"Hackers teleport can heal them for 2000 or hit u for 600"
Zechno:
"Hackers also do 650 damage to you with a teleport scroll!"
I saw a hacker win a game with QOT... HAD to be hacking LOL.
Nah, I think you guys are mirespresenting it. If you played warcraft III from the start you may remember forest walking with ghouls. You could avoid collision with ghouls by telling them to harvest trees behind a target... The purpose of the mechanic was obvious, it was to keep them from getting stuck on each other and other objects while farming, but the combat application was quite unintended, allowing you to easily surround a hero by ignoring all their units.
I would say the teleport trick is similar. The mechanic has a legit purpose and its current usage is not a bug, it's just likely not an intended usage. It's an exploit, but part of playing video games competitively is using that kind of trick to win, if it's part of the game it's fair game. Even if GPG/SD said they don't want you using it it'd be silly to stop. It's on them to fix it, but that doesn't change what it is.
drivel drivel drivel...
rubbish horseshit opinions...
etc.
Stfu?
I hadn't played DemiGod in quite some time but in the early days I played an absolute ton, I'd estimate hundreds of games. Yesterday the game started calling to me, so I decided it was time to go back and see what all the lovely patches I'd kept track of in my absence had added to the game. One of the interesting things added since I left is the stats in connection when playing Pantheon... which show me as having played six games and lost all of them. I roll my eyes about that and think "No one trusts the stats anyway" as that had been my experience. In any case, the connection seems much better now, and I'm connected to a game within a few minutes. Within a few seconds of start though, Random_Dickhead (unfortunately can't remember the real name) says "No way I'm playing through with a noob guys, bye" and quits on me, leaving me with a bot. Which of course ruins the game for all involved. If I had been new to the game, I can see why he'd be annoyed but even in that case it seems that everyone's got to start somewhere and he should have stuck it out or at least offered me a pointer like 'perhaps you should start playing new people friendly custom games.' In any case, I haven't gotten back on since then. I hope the whole community isn't full of competitive dicks, and I nominate the one I played with for the hall of shame.
Bringing this thread back to its angsty roots:
P4yeek is a stat bugger, he said this to me before quitting out of a game he hosted. Surprise surprise, it didn't show up on the record:
FINALLY!
I would like to nominate myself!
I just rage quit a game because it was hopeless and I had to pee really bad.
Inexorable88 and KALELsmX,
I play a 4v4 against them on Leviathon, and over the course of the game, 2 of their teammates drop, but they decide not to concede. Our team is dominating, but then the game enters extreme lag mode, where it moves about 2 frames per a second. We wait for over 10 minutes while trying to convince them to just concede, since the game is already won, but they refuse in horrible sportsmanship. They were clearly waiting for either my team to drop or an invalid gamestate to occur. Guess what happened.
Same thing happened when McShane and I played against Inexorable88. He played a terrible game as beast, and decided to blame his poor performance on the slight lag; even tho his team mates were doing just fine (Especially DUBTRONIC). When the time came when it was obvious he wasnt going to win, he went off into his classic supervillain monologue talking about how he wanted to start a "crusade against lag losses" (No joke!...Dude actually said that!). Seconds later he bragged about slowing down the game to an absolute crawl. His ashamed team mates left after it was clear he wasnt going to stop. We ended up waiting him out, but im sure he's done this several times before. McShane has a sneaking suspicion that he is actually the kid from the WoW freakout videos. Anyone have any idea how to report this kind of bad behavior?
