"Goes to show if enough people complain about something it will get changed...."
Yeah...about that. I've got to say I love this logic circuit as it is what I always here when someone's beloved class gets nerfed.
Basically the inference is this:
1.) For some "mysterious" reason people complain about class "such and such" being overpowered for unsubstantiated reason (cry more noobz)
2.) This cacophany of the Peanut Gallery rises to a chorus loud enough to be heard by the devs and therefore nerfs to class "such and such" are enacted.
3.) This obviously shows if people whine enough the Devs will cave and enact needless nerfs.
...or something to that effect.
However, this is a fault in logic because it ignores causality, not to mention it's pretty insulting to the Devs.
In reality, it's more like this.
1.) Class "such and such" is overpowered to the point that people of equal "skill" will be more effective with that class as opposed to others to the point that it's actually harming the overall quality of gameplay. This is also known as "abuse" or "cheese" in some game circles.
2.) Because the imbalance is so obvious a lot of people recognize this and rightfully complain in an effort to improve the game.
3.) The Devs, being players themselves are also likely aware of this and made more acutely aware by the complaints and therefore enact the nerfs.
Again, the issue is causality. In the former, the "cause" is the whining. In the latter, the "cause" is the actual imbalance.
To assume the former is to assume that the Devs are dolts and somehow just buckling to peer pressure. This is a position of ignoring the fact that the "whiners" may have been right to begin with.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is worth it's own thread but since this is a recurring defense any time someone has their class get nerfed, I thought I'd spell it out as I see it.
/cheers.
Provide full quotes and proof they're actually good. Also you proved yourself in another thread that there's a big chance you're just biased due to playing erebus as your main.

So reg kited you meaning it had to be low level since once you get bat swarm he can't. Mines? use your minions. Sniper? mist it. (ok it takes incrediable timing when he's close but you can still do it.)
As for beast if he uses lolstial wrath, just mist and wait it out. It'll also purge spit, then use bat swarm to get away.
Mist is the biggest counter to assassins. The only one that can counter it is rook with boulder + hammer.
