Top 3 games you regret buying.
Nothing worse than paying good money for a crappy game. Ughhhh
1) Mirror's Edge
2) Spore
3) Age of Empire III - Ugh.. I just bought this last night too. ughhhh
If you don't mind archaic UI's (think Baldur's Gate) and turn based combat you might enjoy it. It has much better writing and much better dialogue.
Lol just use MishYu?
1. MOO 3 2. Spore 3. Homm4 (Said it had Multiplayer, it did'nt. They said they "we'll add it later", they did, months later, but we never ever got it to work).
The current Fallout 3 should be considered some kind of non-canon spinoff.
lol I always do.. because I try to be witty and clever but end up failing and end up with my same ole name.. sigh.
This Fallout 3 hatred is making my heart hurt... *cries*
Episode 1-2 stunk. Episode 3 was alright (at least in my mind) as a movie in it's own right. It's only when you compare it to the other movies in the other triology that you realize that it stinks.
Fallout 3 is a good game in it's own right. Some might even argue a very good game. But as a Fallout game and as a RPG, it sucks balls.
So it's not hate.Just disdain.
it sort of is. that is why they set it in a different area
hmm I actually don't buy games that end up dissapointing me as I hardly ever buy games at launch.
I regret having even played Halo II, luckily I didn't buy the piece of junk. But my worst purchases?
1) Tales of Symphonia II-- Remember Navi, from Majora's Mask? Just imagine that thing as your main character. Only clinically depressed. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. SORRY! Sorry. *Sigh* I'm sorry."
2) Ultimate Spider Man-- Cool graphics in no way make up for a game whose sole difficulty lies in wonky controls and abnoxious time trials.
3) World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King-- Everything's gonna be a lot better! We promise! Destructable environments, better skills, and a new class! Wait, damn, it's just like Burning Crusade. Damn. Why has Blizzard forsaken me?!
Do MissYou lol or YuMishMi haha idk
- Daikatana. Even for 1€, it's a waste of money (1€, new, not 2nd hand )
- X3:TC. Don't buy a game when your computer can't run it. And if it comes with a damn DRM.
- Mystic Quest (SNES). But i was young and innocent
hahaha good idea. lol but it's so.. asian.. lol
1. Spore... holy... crap.. what a piece of junk that was. I actually liked the cell phase most out of anything.... The things you put on your little guy actually mattered, as did the direction you put it in (atleast i think ) This game had alot of potential but seems they decided to aim for a bigger crowd and missed
2. Bit of a combo as i was bored.... Empire total war and Dawn of War II. Not because they are bad games persee... But i bought them both on a whim because i had NOTHING to do at the time. I dont think i played either game more then 5 hours. Empires combat did seem a bit slow and repetative but i didnt play it THAT long anyway
3. Final Fantasy 12... I have loved The final fantasy series since FF6 and i only really disliked FFX-2 before it (aimed at preteen girls it seems) The change in combat style, Lack of character focus (being able to build everyone anyway i want isnt good for a guy like me i like traditional roles build in characters myself) and the lack of focus on the people in your party, instead the focus is on the war and the story around that.
It just feels you are not actually important in that game. Its actually the only ..well allong with X2 even though i got pretty far , final fantasy i never finished and i am very hesitant to start over.
dawn of war 2 - played it like 1 week, then the multiplayer was unplayable so i quit it.
c&c red alert 3 - played one singleplayer mission and quit
i just realised i bought a copy of morrowind ages ago, what a piece of S#!T that was.
Morrowind is one the greatest free form RPG's ever made. There was no hand holding, they didn't dumb it down, it was massive and it was an unashamedly hardcore RPG experience. What's not to love? Except the journal system, that was trash.
I'd actually disagree on this one. For one, being able to build a character set any way you want has always been in FF, since the original where you could choose 4 partymembers, rather than getting thrown a standard set. While FF10 characters and FF7 characters were predisposed to a role, you could easily change them into something else and still be remarkably effective (rendering kimaru actually useful was nice, or whatever the blue guy was), and...God, was it FF2? One of them allowed you to completely customize your characters, and had no real 'level' system. But that one was the worst.
The idea that your main characters aren't important is only applicable to Pinelo and Vaan (whom I personally wish had not been in the game. They served -what- purpose, besides being irritating?). Balthier, Ashe, Basch, and Fran saved the world, as you always do in an FF game. Furthermore, I personally find a focus on the world outside your characters to be appealing. It makes the world feel real and living. But to each his own, and I've typed for way too long
well in its defence, it was fun cheating and running at like 2131051km/h, but that lasted like 2 minutes haha
Tiberium Sun: Firestorm
Hinterland
Grand Prix Manager
Can't decide on what order these should go in, don't think I've been disappointed with any of my other game purchases. Was initially disappointed with Dungeon Keeper 2, but I went back and played it again years after and that time around it was fantastic.
Alright, let me see if my mind can take re-living the horrors I've seen.
1. C&C: Tiberium Sun. The first one was so good, and Red alert 1 was amazing, so how could they go on to release this boring pile of crap?
2. Spore - So much promise, so much let down. At least the creature editor was fun.
3. Auto Assualt - Not quite a bad game (hey ,I had some fun with it) , but they left out so many essential things at the start (like an auction house) that this MMO was doomed!
have you looked at your avatar?
HOLY...
The customisation thing has more to do with me being unable to choose and be happy about it. I tried mentally figuring out who i thought was "supposed" to do what role in my party... I just couldnt find it. I didnt like everyone being able to buff everything, and heal, and be good in offence. But thats just me. It feels like a part of party makeup strategy is lost in that.
I remember 7 and 10 to be less open as you put it... but again that was more to do with my already having assigned a role to them based on character. In 7 i had Aerith be a healer as it seemed fitting (so yeah i had to find a new healer mid game ) Cloud offcourse being my main man slasher . i guess i had Tifa fill in the healer spot.... But you are right, thatone was pretty open ( and i loved the materia system myself)
in 10 though.... Its been a while but i cant remember it being that open... Ohhhhhhhh was that the one with the sphere grid ? I ended up opening everything up for 3 of my guys just to beat the Ultimate boss... But most characters have a pretty set course and you needed special unlock spheres to move away from that path... And in my opinion character design made it easyer for me to assign a role to them.
I guess i could never pinpoint what i really didnt like about FF12.. Often thought about replaying it as i never finished it, and it seems like a waste. Biggest thing was the new battle system which i wasnt really fond of, and me ending up having everybody be their own healer/buffer which got kinda boring... and with the.. whats it called.. auto commands system .. gambits was it ? I didnt have to do anything half the time.
Dont get me wrong about the part where i mention the game being story centric instead of character centric. I like a good, deep story... But the characters seem to just go along with the ride, not to mention i found the voice acting quite bad. The voices didnt really fit, not just character wise, but you could hear it was dubbed like some bad german dubs you see everywhere.
If you really think its that good i might just hook up the game again and see if i can finish it this time. Not sure i want to farm (seriously in a single player game ? :/) for good gear again... but yeah
Ok sorry for the offtopicness but yeah.. sorry
1. N3 (ninty nine nights) this game is just plain out bad.
2. Shattered suns waste of cash..and the time it took to install.
3. Age of Conan. Great just wahat I needed a mmorpg that has femnale avatars with out tops on. wouldnt be to bad if teens were not the main players of the game *oh look there goes ANOTHER naked chick*
