No, it's not the only ship. I posted a pic or two of the Boomer a couple pages back, Colonials will have a new cruiser, and the Thor will be in once I find time to hardpoint it.
No, I'm having trouble finding people willing to texture an already made ship, especially when I don't have the original UV-mapped model.
Yes, there will be icons, yes, there will be a change to the UI, and yes, they still fly like strike craft. Capital ships will not, because it looks incredibly stupid when your battlestar flies through a basestar.
I haven't asked any of the forums you specifically listed, but I have asked other BSG mods. Some have been... unhelpful, while others would require far too much work to get their models into Sins, to the point where it would be easier to just make the model from scratch.
The problem with places like Scifi-meshes is that the people there tend to make very high poly models. They prefer to model all the small details, rather than texture them. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent models, but most of them cannot work with Sins.
Let me know if you need help on this or more icons.
What about the Guardian Basestar? The current model is waaay off and one of the team members previously said they'll correct it. Was that done?
Also, I came across a forum post full of colonial ships, images, renders, as well as the names of the artists doing the rendering. It was so delicious I had to share it with someone, so might as well be you guys, maybe it will inspire some stuff out the people working on this project.
Most of the models shown are too high poly, others are not. Also, if you are looking for more ships, one of these guys might be willing to chunk out a lower poly of their ships for the promotional angle. Them getting their name out on projects could help them out in the long run.

Forgot to mention that one There will be a newer version of the Guardian, although it won't be the one that was in Razor. There aren't very many good reference shots of the "real" Guardian.
Kyogre12... Did you take up ZombiesRus5 on his great offer? This may speed things up a bit so hopefully the mod will be finished by the time the final diplomacy patch is released... which shouldn't be too far off now..
To be fair, my assistance will probably not help speed up the mod much. I've done quite a few icons for the mod and some weapon points already to help out and take some of the load of Kyogre12. I just wanted to let him know I could still help out if needed.

Well, the Loyalist/Rebel system sounds nice, and could make sense in BSG thanks to the Cylon Civil War they have going on. The Colonial Rebels could be some nutjobs who think the Cylons are right and mankind needs to die.
The demand Peace Movement? Hell they could bring back the STO from Caprica

Edit: Also, I'd like to volunteer to make some simplistic, yet necessary and vastly improving string edits. Simple things that make a big difference - like the changing of research titles, militia's, etc.

There is no GalaxyForge for it. Maybe the Distant Stars one would work with it, but I have no idea.

Thanks for the update. When will it be released? Will you be ready when the final version of the Diplomacy patch is released by Stardock? It's just a real shame, there was sooo much enthusiasm for this project, but it seems to have dropped off alot because die-hard fans have given up.. There are quite a few people who have offered their help recently... have you taken them up on their offers to speed things up?? It's been such a long wait, and it just seems like we are still so far off and are never going to get there!!

Ok, I've completed the map. The only thing left to do is to sort out a picture for it, and to get it uploaded.
Right - I have the map (which you'll need to add to the galaxy list), a picture that needs to be place in texture so that the map has an 'icon' and a few suggestions on changes to the string file (the suggestions are in no particular order, and I can clarify if needed.)

Also, I forgot to mention that, in the map, the players start on the following worlds in this order:
I might do a second version, one that allows for a larger number of players (assign them to start on colonies within the same system, much like Player 1 and Player 5 are in the same system.)
What do you have left to do on it now?? Why don't you just release what you have done? I think everyone has waited long enough Kyogre12!
