This is a total conversion mod, so the TEC, Advent, and Vasari are no longer playable
The Colonials and Cylons are now playable races

that's early version, i made some changes to that already, and i take design from an old comodore or atari game i don't remember.
I just think that the bridge connection should look a bit sturdier to have the full Battlestar feeling to it as a ship. And if the hangars were a bit more in the middle of it then i don't think it'd feel quite as Klingon of Romulan to me.
Other than that, i can't wait to blast it and many of it's sister ships out of the skybox with my many battlestars.
And i'm really sad to hear about that setback with the GPU Kyogre. But hey, whatever you need to get it done, right? No rush from me. Still got a pretty good quality version to play until then =P Good luck!
Is this mod currently compatible with Ent 1.051? I, the dummy that I am, patched to the latest version and the game stopped working. The mod will enable just fine, but anytime I start a match it freezes at the loading screen. I've already tried reinstalling sins and deleting ironclad folder in the appdata directory.
the entity files have no significant changes from 1.05 to 1.051 as the changes were in the engine not the entities so it SHOULD work.

So I have a question, the icon for the basestar that replaces the model when you zoom out a little in the game is still the radiance battleship, but on the thing to the left side that shows fleets shows a custom image of the starbase. Is it more difficult to change that or was that something just missed?
Is it easy to fix that?
Is there anyone here that is artistically able to fix that?
I realize it's a small thing but it would improve my gameplay experience immensely. (If someone does fix it and wants to email me the correct file you can pm me for my email address and I will publicly shower you with praise!)
Funny story about that... It's not oversight, I've tried for a long time. I cannot find the stupid line of text that controls that icon! As you can see I found the one for the Empire Tree icon, but not the other one, and I can't seem to find the right file. It should be an easy fix, but it isn't...

Thanks for the fast reply! I bet if you asked the community or emailed the developers they could answer you. Alternatively, you could ask one of the other modding groups how they did it?

Here is the reply I got on how to fix that:
"There are two files: Unit_HUD_InfoCard and Unit_HUD_Main. These two affect all instances of the icon you're referring to (on the star map, in the galaxy window, and in the info card fleet summary).
Be sure you change both the color channels and the alpha channel, and then make certain you place the new icon into the EXACT same place on the canvas. The brush files dictate which parts of the canvas are used for which ship, and if you go outside the boundaries of the Radiance quadrant you won't get your entire icon (plus part of your new icon will become part of another ship's icon)."

It's been a while since I've posted but I've thought of something that would help make this mod more realistic. In the past I suggested that battlestars should carry point defense weapons, but was told that it messed with targeting priorities. I've been playing Sins of a galactic empire and they seem to have fixed that problem. They added a low strength weapons that can target SC and have a much shorter range than the main armament. So far, I have not seen any problems in SOGE with using a weapon like that.
what does everyone think?

as the mod is 560MB it will exceed any emal provider's outgoing email size and mos email providers incoming email size.
