This is a total conversion mod, so the TEC, Advent, and Vasari are no longer playable
The Colonials and Cylons are now playable races

Because they do. The Cylons on the other hand can easily outnumber the Colonials by 3:1 odds, and dying isn't an issue for Cylons since they have resurrection capability so go ahead and send wave after wave of ships at your Colonial enemies since death is merely an interlude and not an end.
What he said That is exactly why the Cylons have weaker ships with less survivability. Instead, they get cheap, spamable ships.
Oh dude! that would be sweet to have the tec or other races flying around amidst the cylcon/colonial war, not much for immersion though.
Not going to happen. I had a vote for it a while ago, it was pretty defenitive that most people didn't want them back. Plus it would mean everything would have to be completely re-balanced.
when will a 1.051 entrenchment compatible version be released?
I'm a fan of the show and this mod looks amazing, and really need to play this.
see the links in the OP. there are NO differences in the entity files between 1.05 & 1.051, the differences are ONLY in the engine

i placed the mod in the sins folder, but tech and advent are the only factions available.
and the ships are still the same.
running version 1.051.
is the link on top up to date?
Will you be rebalancing the ships? Like, instead of having 20k armour, will you drop it down to a more reasonable 4k, likewise with the weapon damage?
did you extract the folders and files from the archive?
i dont think they will and i seriously hope they will not do it because this is one of the best things about this mod, real capital ships,i dont even play original sins anymore because capital ships were made out of paper there,they couldn't stand anything,a couple neutral faction ships and bye bye your capital.
And this mod was trying to capture the strong resistant capital ship theme from the battlestar galactiga series anyways so things have been balanced already
I kind of see what you mean, but personally I feel it's unbalanced now in that Capital ships have impossibly high health, when it could be tripped to a fraction of it's current one, and just tune the weapons down a little - they don't have to be as weak health wise as in Sins, but to a more realistic level than current.
Anyway, it's Kyroger (did I spell that right?) who gets the final say.

As for that actual question, I don't really see a reason to mess with their health. What do you think they are unbalanced to? Granted, frigates are pretty useless right now, but that's going to change in the Diplomacy version; the frigates are mostly going to be replaced with "almost capital ships" (think the Gamma Basestar, Berzerk, etc).
I believe I recall hearing/reading that. I figure I am one of the few who do want some sort of fodder race.
Also, you wouldn't technically need to re balance; I mean really, who in their right mind would choose to play TEC against the colonials or Cylons?..."man I really want to get my ass kicked in today's game"
100% agree. Original sins is almost irritating to play thanks to this amazing piece of work.
Well, then I really don't see the point in leaving the vanilla races in. What's the point of having them if not to play as them?

Nope It's just not worth it when I could be using that time to work on the new version, because it wouldn't be as simple as just uploading the new mesh files, a lot of other stuff would have to be changed too.
Ah... darn... worth a try i suppose... but the suspense is killing me! Here's to hoping that there are no setbacks in production...
It's not a setback, persay, but in a week I'm going on vacation to Hawaii. So needless to say, I'll have better things to do than mod Although I will have my computer with me.

I and kyogre12 (more me) want to add 3 faction Earth, so I will make models, since you don't like my models design you will provide me with art concept ( i hope you know how to paint and post it here), I need just the basic outline of ships.
If you don't provide me with those, i will need to invent them my self
