You will get the new textures in the next release, along with a lot of other stuff.
I like the balance as it is now. I know you're going to nerf the G's weapons, and buff the Mercury's weapons, I think that is a good move.
I'm buffing all the Colonial caps' weapons a little (so they're stronger relative to the G) as well as nerfing the G's weapons.
Hey, how much experience does a cap get for every strike craft it kills, either with flak, or its own fighters?
Last night when I was going toe to toe with the G, with my worldstar and the Res ship, the G gained 2 levels from flaking my fighters...
Any chance that amount of experience can be scaled back some? The G started as a level 5, was a level 7 when I limped my two ships out of there, simply from flak.
I don't know the exact numbers, but you're right, it is too much. I'm going to scale it back a bit, although I think that in general, caps are going to level quickly, because there are so many weaker frigates to kill.

I don't care how a Cylon raider or a Colonies Viper looks because i rarely look at them. I am more interested how they fight then how they look.
P.S. that the Galactica wins over a Worldstar is nothing new. Just compare the Build cost and the Fleet support. If the Galactica couldnt win you did something worng with the balancement

No. One, I like screenshots, so sue me . Two, pretty much everything I wanted in the next version is done, I'm just waiting for a couple things from Danman. He forgot to update a couple textures (there are a lot of them btw), and I want those in.
If thats the case I could have just left the vanilla models in and changed the stats, and you'd be happy. Is that really what you want from a BSG mod?

And I love all the pictures you've been posting, looks fan-bleedingeyes-tastic. Like I thought ship-to-ship combat should look. missile broadsides, massive explosions.

The post was my mistake. It was only there two people, and Kyogre was one of them. Just to let you all know that I have been in the background all the way. Kyogre and I go way back, and I have his back with this with every step. Anything he needs, he will get. The textures are shaping up rather well, and some new effects may be in order too, as Kyogre has prescribed. Models are also getting repointed, and look much better. I you are a BSG fan, than this is the mod for you!
WAY TO GO KYOGRE! Keep up the good work. Can't wait until we can have a Colonial Fleet, vs. Galactic Empire vs Kohr-Ah battle!!!!

Great news! Thanks for the update Danman. The prospect of such a battle is too much to think about
On another note I was messing around with the sound effects for the weapons that you have for the pegasus and I stumbled upon a familiar if not exact effect for the front weapons. The Gauss muzzle effect seemed to sound alot like the one in the show when it fires it's front canons. You might want to try it out. No biggie, and I'm sure you will probably use more "official" sound effects for future additions, but it is a simple modification using existing sound effects.

That is a very good idea, thanks for pointing that out. Is the effect for the Guass defense turrets, or the Guass cannon abilitiy that the Kol has? "Official" sounds probably won't be happening for quite a while, so this would be great!

Yes, it's the Gauss defense turrets sound rather than the ability. When you get the fire rate for the front cannons right it's quite a satisfying effect
I'd like to add that I always thought that the models had very good textures (once the reflection and bloom textures were sorted out). Interesting to see how the team colours for the models were also applied. Thanks for those in game screen shots.
btw sound, did you disable the voice output for "the shields are down" yet ?
At Stargate Races Mod, the Wraith dont got shield too. You still get the text msg. but no voice output.

No, I haven't, because, to be honest, it's a minor annoyance at best, and it doesn't actually affect gameplay, so it is very low on my list of priorities.

No, sorry. I recomend that you get Entrenchment. It adds a lot of new features, and most mods are migrating over to it, so you'll need it to play them.

That is a question that can't be aswered by anyone for any mod Real life and other things have a habit of getting in the way of release dates for mods.
