My original plan was to have basestars, raiders, etc "upgrade" with Entrenchment's ability to swap meshes in game. But I started hearing from some people wondering if any ships from the original series would be in that weren't in already (like the old raiders, original Galactica, etc)
I figured it would be kind of unkind to the fans of the original series to have their favorite ships replaced part way into the game, never to be seen again until they start a new game.
So, my new plan is that at the begining of the game, the Cylons and the Colonials both start with only one capital ship they can build, the original Basestar for the Cylons, and the original Galactica for the colonials. There would be a line of research that unlocks further capital ships. Colonials go original Galactica > new Galactica > Valkerie > Pegasus, with the other's thrown in there some where, I'm not really sure where yet. Cylons would be Original basestar > Guardian > new basestar > resurection ship > worldstar, or something like that.
Each cap would have its own "era-specific" strikecraft. Original Galactica will have original vipers, new galactica will have mkIIs, Pegasus will have mkVII and so on, with something similar for the Cylons
This way, hopefully everyone will be happy, and will have the favorite ships in game.
can you please change up the weapons in the next release so it doesnt look like a mass of the same weaps being fired weather you use phase and standered doesnt matter much as long as there slightly different and great job so far and danman hurry up and finish 2.5 lol cant wait for it

Wow, that was quite the lucky coincidence. Although none of those pics show it very clearly (not being shot at) so I think I'll do a little feature, with a pic of every cap, just so everyone can see all the new textures.
Has the high reflectivity been fixed? Looks from the pics, it has.
Yes and no. It definetly isn't as bad as before, but the Colonial ships still have a habit of glowing every now and then, with a couple exceptions. The Valkyrie seems to work right all the time, and the Warrior has the exact opposite problem. It alwasy appears too dark. Hopefully we can get this fixed soon. On the plus side, the Cylons have no problems with that at all!

I can make no garrentees, but I'm hoping soon. Before the end of July for sure. It kind of depends on how long it takes me to get it up and available for download.

The Worldstar is still my favorite. Original design, and looks good with all the lights/windows on it.

Other thing, have u noticed that one of the 8 reactors of the pegasus doesn't work (the one on the top left)
Ok, I've posted a reply to this twice now, and neither showed up, hopefully this one will.
Like I said a couple posts ago, the Colonials still have some glowing problems, although they're not quite as bad as before. In all of these screen shots I tried to manipulate it so that didn't happen, but in those last couple pics the Galactica+Pegasus started moving because the basestar was destroyed, so it turned a little white.
Dan is going to re-hardpoint the Pegasus to fix the engine thing, as well as the Galactica.
