I finally got my hands on the game soundtrack and it is AWESOME. So I was thinking, why not add a music selector the UI? All you need is a drop-down list of songs and a track bar. Play, Stop, Shuffle, Repeat, Merge, Mute, all of the other buttons could easily fit in one little corner.
Nice idea.It is not really needed but it would be nice to have.
Btw, where did you get the Sins soundtrack? is it seperate to the in-game music files?

All I see is old patch 1.05. I don't see the soundtrack. Where is it?

Sound Folder, they're all OGGs, playable from any player supporting it, like VLC.

anyway, in relation to the topic, a music selector would be nice, but i think Sins dynamic music player would prevent choosing your own music.
that is, if you zoom into a GW with a battle where you are winning, Sins would probably be playing a winning track, whereas if you zoom in on another GW where you are losing the battle it will play a trouble track. alternatively, if there are no battles, or if you zoom all the way out, it will play a quiet track. (these are just arbitrary names taken from the sound folder where Sins stores all the music, which, btw, i have copied and use WinAmp to play, omg, so happy)
all that means is that choosing your own music would be contrary to what we have now. IC probably put alot of effort into their dynamic music player, so they might be a little less than enthusiastic to enable you to choose your own music... considering the current system is deisgned to heighten the experience.
i personally would love one, there are definitly some tracks i like more than others, however i dont see it happening
on a seperate note, i noticed there are some music files contained in the Souns folder that never occur in the game? TEC3 and TEC4 are a few examples. if you download WinAmp or VLC to play you will see what i mean. any ideas? maybe they were thrown in for the benefit of later x-packs?
on the link posted above, you should have a login thing on the right side, login with your information used for the forum, when you do scroll down, you should have a list of things like, sins desktop, sins music cd in zip format, and things like that, if not, i can only assume you don't have a collectors edition?
although when i tried it it worked for me and i saw everything there, and i didnt even know i had the collectors edition myself but meh thats irrelevent, it's all i can think the problem being though if you cannot see them there
yeah, i bought a box set... but then during the process of beta testing i somehow got a digital download... or at least thats how impulse sees it

i have the .ogg files, im not that fussed, though i would like to be able to upload them to my iPod
you can always google an ogg to whatever converter , no doubt theres a few free ones about that can do that
already tried that, most of them only convert about 60% then ask you to pay...
