With a game like Demigod, there's bound to be a lot of exciting, interesting, or downright hilarious moments. People getting too greedy and getting owned, people coming back from the brink of defeat and winning, etc. So, I figured it might be fun to share our stories like that with eachother. I've got one that happened yesterday. The setup was a 3v3 match on Cataract. The Forces of Light consisted of a Regulus, TB, and Rook. The Forces of Darkness (my team) had 2 Oaks and a TB. I was one of the Oaks. It was almost midgame, our levels were around 7 or 8, with the exception of Reg who was lvl 10 because he was quite good at sniping anybody who was fleeing a battle, regardless of whether he was in the fight or not. Anyway, I was about to run up our left lane (from the Dark side) and as I was doing so I saw my teammate, the other Oak, running back to base, incredibly low health. I knew Regulus would try to pick him off so I threw my Shield up on him and continued running. Dead ahead I saw Regulus charging up his Snipe. It hit my teammate, he didn't take ANY damage due to my shield, and he escaped back to base with about 80hp. I then took the opportunity to use Penitence on Reg, chase him down, and put my ax between his eyes. It was so much fun, just because I felt like a real contributor to my team. I saved my teammate from the brink of death, and then proceeded to kill the enemy that had been bullying us the whole match. I saved the enemy from getting a kill and feeding them gold and experience, and then I earned that experience and gold for my own team.On a side note, we still lost this match, but it was an incredibly close fight. We were constantly pushing eachother back and forth across the map.
Funny experience: Trying to play an online match as the Queen of Thorns while a friend of mine was partially blocking the screen with her head, as she was trying to check out the, uh... art style of the Queen.
My best Comeback was in a 1v1 game as Rook vs a Qot, i got some map control + a couple of kills making me go ahead on gold, i spent it on equip for my Rook, the game extended and she kept defending pretty wll, later on she focused on creeps and psuhed me back as i couldntt defend both sides, she even got one of myh portals after some fight and my citadel in half life i sell all my equip to get giants, i recovered my portals pushed the last catapults out of my base pushed back with my giants and won in the end.
i got one
i was running away with rook from an oak and unclean, regulus was not far behind
unclean said he would portal to me, so i quickly dropped a tower...continued running
when they were meleeing me i turn around, boulder roll then begin a smash
just as my unclean teammate portaled in he stunned the oak with the grasp both were hit by the smash resulting in unclean dying and chasing down oak to kill...regulus proceeded to run away
Cannot connect to a NAT facilitator...NawT!!!... See what I did there?
Hi there, Europe here.
I was trying to play Demigod online but couldn't connect at all... again.
So I went outside in the sun for hours, rolled down grassy hills, smacking bees against trees and what have you not. All this while I was not sitting looking at my monitor and wasting my time with a broken game.
/end sarcasm
Now for the love of god, fix the bloody game!!
I kissed a girl!!!
AND!!!I liked it.....
First time, GZ... Nice to see how mature our community is...
Was playing as Torchbearer (frost spec) on Cataract. We were starting to push into their base, but they were doing a good job of holding out. We just needed to get one or two down so we could take out some towers and make a real push, but they kept escaping in the knick of time.
We started beating up on their oak, and once again he ran away. He was fleeing into their base but I pursued (frost spec FTW!). I had him to about 200hp when he popped his shield (at this point the 6 second one). I continued chasing him, timed it out in my head, dropped a rain of ice and just as it came down on top of him the shield war off. Killed him and escaped by the skin of my teeth. So epic
I think he was doing some kuind of reference to the pop song of a girl that sings "i kissed a girl and i like it" , by the way whether you are boy or girl, just as funny
You can easily check HIS profile, being it a girl, I would've used some joke...
This isn't a specific instance, but I always like UB spitting on someone then getting the kill 7 seconds later. One time his body blew up and then Post Mortem killed his fleeing teammate. It was greatt.
The other day I was playing and I was doing so well I didn't go back to base for most of the match (I had HoL, no need). Finally I got back and realised I had like 15k gold. Got angels, catapults, and giants in one upgrade. Needless to say, my enemy was more than suprised. If I can recall I think he said "dude, just crapped myself there"
I actually got a 5v5 match on Pantheon once. I didn't realize until it was near endgame that they were all AI.
Yeah the last girl I kissed was my ex.....omg that evil spawn of satin!!!! Lol...and yes I was playing off the song...and being a smartass to this (pathetic) thread...
Hehe

it made me chuckle. lol randomness ftw!
Well, I can't play online, as some people knows the story of by now..
But while I was playing hard AIs this morn before work on Single Player Skirmish.. I thought it would be funny to set up both sides as the exact same stats. QoT, UB, & Rook. Vs the same, on Cruicible map and Slaughter game. It was such a close neck to neck match, epic battle. Soon as I killed UB, the other QoT would get me.
Well, what ended up happening was that we (the dark side) won by 1 kill all becus of my shield. In one instance, I saw my Rook (for simplicity sake, I will now refer to as R1) with only a sliver of HP remaining, being pursued by the opposing Rook (refer to as R2) who had like half a bar of health left, so I threw the shield on my R1 and spiked the opposing R2. My R1 then stunned the enemy and I Ground Spiked him while my R1 ended him with a Hammer blow. And won the game.
EPIC.
Who said Single player was useless? Its as challenging and engaging as ever.
Funny experience : I launch Demigod and... Fatal Error
Funny experience : I launch Demigod, try to play an online match and... disconnected

Funny experience : I tried again, like a brave soldier and actually start a game I'm sure it will become a legen -wait for it- da. Oh no, fatal error
Funny experience : I tried to play a 5vs5 game, and... oh no sorry, i remember that's not funny
Funny experience : A friend of mine as a joke about Demigod : "You want my boots to go faster ? " Huh ? Playing Demigod is hazardous to your health.
Funny experience : I still enjoy playing Demigod, so all of this is funny. Or I'm crazy, I'm not sure.
MishYu, your enjoyment from playing SP, makes me cry.
hahahaha well, I can't play MP so I might as well enjoy my money's worth. lol
Last week I had a crazy, amazing game. 2 v 2 Domination on Cataract, 10,000 point limit - I'm playing a mines Reg and my ally is Oak, but neither of us are communication or working very well together. The other team has some experience and basic teamwork so they take an early lead in flags and keep it. When the score is around 8,000 (them) to 4,500 (us) and they have central map control I say GG in chat, figuring we can't possibly make up the difference. And then we start coming back, slowly...My late-game Reg is a hunter-killer today and the allied Oak can push lanes like no one's business - teamwork becomes less important than the ability to demolish and that we can do in spades. We take and hold the three middle flags and the score creeps up to 7k (us) to 9k (them). At this point still no chance and the Announcer agrees "The Forces of Darkness are moments from victory!!" But we also have giants on the board and we've upgraded them, so Oak and friends have basically pinned the enemy DGs to their base. I start swinging from one of their portal flags to the other with port scrolls and flag locks, trying to keep them defensive and locked down. Score creeps up to 8500 us and 9600 them. They need 400 flag points to win. As long as they can keep *some* flag control they should be able to make it. Now they are getting a bit worried and they start making suicide runs at the mid flags. My ally is too busy farming their portal spawns at the Dark valor flag to notice, so even though we have their portal flags they are bringing in points from the center...I'm freaking out, because we still have no chance but it's awfully close... "ZOMG Hey Oak stop farming grunts and cap flags!!!" And he pauses for a second as if looking around and slowly steps back to cap the artifact shop flag. Watching that little flag status bar move from dark to light takes 3 seconds but it feels like 10 minutes. The score is 9950 on both side. We have caught up to their score in the final .05% of the game. No effin way. What happens next is almost too quick to grasp. In 5 seconds the game is over. The dark Citadel crumples like a bad souffle. We have the winning score of 10,000. The enemy has 9977. Capping that final flag for the vital 5 seconds has taken us from a game we couldn't have won at any point during play and given us the gold. I've played games where the enemy had our citadel down to 1k health and we came back, or where we were racing to destroy each other's citadels first, but it's really hard to point to the tipping point in game modes other than Domination. I've never had a game this close before and I don't know that I ever will again. GG guys. Looking forward to the rematch
I'm not bothering on my school's internet....once I get home for summer I'll enjoy some mulitplayer action on a 27 inch monitor !!
nice! I can't wait till they allow multiple alias under one master account. I would love to be able to play online.
What I meant was, that playing with good players is tenfold better compared to playing with hard AIs, so I wish you luck for that multi-profile account.
Thank you.
The fact that you really take it so badly that people dare like other game modes than you do, makes me want to cry.
Oh man this was in no way meant offensive, it's just most of the community is complaining 'bout AIs in MP, because it is not their place there and the AIs are stupid, so I was just intrigued by someone actually enjoying playing with them (given her current condition with one profile per account).
