Just woundering are there girls around here?i met 1 girl yesturday, she was the only girl i saw playing DG since i start playing it myself
I wounder, coz' CS:S had not only planty of girls but there were "girls only" clans too (Pink Clan)
anyways i find it much more intersting to play with or against girlsit makes me nicer during the game play, and when i win or loose to a girl its a whole new thrill
His first post was not rude at all, terribly structured though compared to his other posts. It was the immature replies that led on to a conversation that has nothing to do with the original post. Especially by saifoo and Azrailx or whatever.
You're right his post post wasn't rude, incredibly creepy but not rude. So then when faced with a thread that's no longer on topic what does he do?
He keeps it off topic by throwing insults back. There was two good ways to fix this and he choose the way of keeping it off-topic.
He could have ignored them and tried to get it back on topic or made a new thread where it wasn't worded so strangely. Have to bring this up though... why are you defending / speaking for him?
EDIT: Whats wrong with the quote system? It sometimes lets me quote a single post after i've removed everything else and sometimes it doesn't.
I'm not speaking "for him", I was in my previous posts saying what I thought about the subject matter. Now, nobody really cares and most never cared in the first place. Especially that immature Azrailx kid who thought it would be funny to make a joke topic about it.
Can you blame them? The first three lines in the OP's post are fine. The next two turn the thread from just interest to creepy.
EDIT: k this is bothering me now I didn't change the post at all and the quote system still didn't work.
Im not the sort of guy who is insluted by some nubs and sit silentlyespacialy when they are probbly americans, which is the reason why i keep throwingcounter insults on them, just because they are so up themselfs and i hate such creatures
Maybe some pople here come from an education system that teachesthat if someone insults you, ignore them "because they are ignorant" or whateverwell i come from a real world where i have to stand up for myselfand it shows on my virtual profiles as well, cant hide who i am and dont want toso when someone ruin my thread, IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF which results in me fighting backthats all
If you have problem with that, then follow your own guide and dont reply or ignorebut moustly the saddest thing is the lvl those creatures drained me toi was forced to use insults such as "gays", while i have nothing against gays at allor when they called me "vrigin", the taboo of loosing virginity as fast as possibleled to the world where 12 year old girls having sex with 13 year old boysand most of it started in USA, with the sex trading commercials
So even if i were a virgin, i dont see why it is a bad thing, i have a 26 year old freand who is a virgin so what?
anyways i lost my point here..my words have no meaning for anyone in here anyways, waste of time really
I've gotta go with Xinoxlx on this, the topic may not have been rude to start with but it was pretty bait-like - as if designed to attract the kind of responses he seems to revel in. Given his proclivities for hate-mongering and homophobia in the joke thread I don't think the OP needs defending.
Also, Azrailx may have been crude in this thread, but not inacurate. The joke thread is also rather funny.
-------------------------
Regardless, I shall attempt to address the original topic:
Games with highly male player-bases can be uncomfortable to women, not least because most men believe they should be treated differently, without being entirely clear on how they should be treated differently; it often outs itself in fairly random gifts or other acts which may be kind, but deffinately seem creepy to the woman.
When I played WoW for a couple of months (ugh) I was in a guild with friends from Homeworld 2, which included some female gamers. They were competetive and so fit in well with a successful raiding guild. It was also the only place I ever saw a successful online-couple being formed, while still in highschool; they eventually went on to go to the same uni but I don't know what happened after that. My wife on the other hand, when she tried WoW out, wasn't competitive at all and joined a group of role-players; this didn't work out very well, all the "milady"s and bouquets of pixels were odd enough, but the reaction to her saying she was married didn't just return things to a semi-normal state but made people positively hostile.
Different games have different populations, and women tend to integrate into traditionally male-dominated comunities (such as RTS ones, or the harsher MMOs) in different ways.
EVE, my MMO of prefference for instance has a 97% male population according to the votes for the player-representatives-council from last year or the year before, it simply doesn't seem to be an attractive concept for women. Those who do play tend to either out-male the men, being 'one of the guys' to let people forget they're female (the leader of one of the former major alliances, Foyle, could very easily have auditioned for the QoT personality-wise. Mother of 2 and pure eveil in-game, not feminine at all.), or they find other women to hang out with. There's a few all-female corps and others run by women.
All of that is only an issue though if people know that they're female (voice coms for instance). If people don't know, it's much easier for them to do whatever they want without getting hassled. That includes pwning you.
Yes, there will be girls playing. No, they probably don't want to be very open about their gender just yet, and there's no reason they should be; it shouldn't change how you treat them, but it will. If they're nubs, help them as you would a male nub... or shout at them in caps like you would at a male nub. If they beat you... it raelly isn't a magical new experience. 90% chance you've already been beaten by a female gamer without you knowing it, how would knowing it change the experience?
In my opinion, this thread should have been started in the 'Off-topic --> General' subsection of this forum. Because it has nothing to do with the game Demigod itself. The topic, as I see it, is 'some guy wants to know if females play games, and accidentally it's Demigod this time'. If you place a topic like this in the wrong section, you can pretty much expect some nasty remarks.
PS Could you stop the US insulting already? You now keep doing it in every single post, and it's getting old.
So, you admit to being an ignorant fucker then? Looks like every reply on this thread calling you as much is spot on. Grats.
its ex^'s fault the ^ in his name breaks it
You can't even spell or speak coherently and yet Americans are the stupid ones?
Just curious how well you speak Russian. Unless you're going for the ignorant statistic.
Keep it civil folks. If this thread doesn't calm down, it will be locked.
come on guys we all know the kitten thread rox all ur sox off!
i no rite. that half second to type the ^ is a killer. same name without it.

You are never forced to use insults.

We Didn't Start the Flame War...
we just added the fuel too the fire
Wahahhahaha...this has gotten pretty ridiculous. Well, at least people seem to be enjoying themselves.
...Back on-topic!
Yea, I was just joking abt en entire team of sednas (though I have to say, now I want to try it once). If you play well with the Queen then that is awesome. When you know what youre doing with her, she can become pretty damn insane and one of the few demigods that will consistently throw a wrench in my tactics. Having all the opponents pushing down a lane with bramble shields on is seriously annoying to deal with....lol
LETS DO THIS. HUGH!!!!!
My gf plays Demigod but she only plays sedna and she just stays in the base while i go out and fight and cooks up some good healing spells so when i come home from a hard days battle i can get a good home made heal, and kick up my feet. Then i head back out into battle, she also polishes the citidel.
