Playing Sedna kinda has a drawback...you will basicall get no award whatsoever..there is no way you'll get damage..there is no way you'll get upgrades, because you can't kill creeps fast enough...I'm not trying to bash her, because she's quite good..but there needs to be a support award for healing/buffing teammates.
If I was one of those "only in it to win" type people, then, the way the game awards favor/victory points currently, it would be FAR better of me to just spec/spend Sedna to help me/myself/Sedna. Only heal myself, get lots of pouce and yetis and minions to kill stuff. Healing wind or healing other teammates, HAH, no way.
But I want to help the team, so I spec and spend to that end. But I'll never play Parth with her, cause you'r doomed to "Partisipant".
I think this whole discussion begs a larger issue in the game, which is how ineffective and neglected defensive efforts are. I agree that they should be rewarded, but more importantly (IMO) there is not much of an effective defensive strategy to be had. The primacy of all strategies are involved in your attack. When you defend, in the game now, you're more attacking back from a place from which you can retreat. not much of a defense really. With the defensive strategies so limited, or even more, unmentioned in the game really, it's not surprising that healing and shielding of teammates goes unrewarded. About all you get for it now is a "ty" from someone who's ass you saved.
I think you'll see strategies like those up in effectiveness and be appreciated far more on clan games and arranged teams who understand that effectiveness isn't a Favor Point Number, and however unsung, Heals and Bramble Shields cna save lives.
