Playing Sedna kinda has a drawback...you will basicall get no award whatsoever..there is no way you'll get damage..there is no way you'll get upgrades, because you can't kill creeps fast enough...I'm not trying to bash her, because she's quite good..but there needs to be a support award for healing/buffing teammates.
I think the 'tiny-AoE-dmg' idea sounds appropriate. If the various shield & heal abilities all had that, it would probably be very hard to beat a QoT or Sedna on assists, unless you're a really determined Oak. And they'd get a fair bit of xp/gold from creeps by buffing people.
Yes, if you spend all your points on healing/support abilities, and then you spend most your gold on items that keep your mana up all the time to heal/support others on your team, then your going to be in last place 95% of the time for favor and all points/awards. You can't really get kills or farm when your busy healing and helping.
It's backwards: The more selfless you are with Sedna; making her more helpful/supportive to others, the less reward you get.
As for "hearing something about this topic"; that would be GPG's department, and good luck hearing anything from them on most any issue, let alone this. . .

So what if sedena is the only one that can heal others.. everyone can heal themselves with life steal (all generals can heal via minions, and qot and oak can "heal" teamates). If there isnt a healing award, there shouldnt be a damage award.
The very least they should do, is show the amount of healing done by players at the end of the game.
I wouldnt mind a killing blow by gadget award, or killed solely by gadget.

a healing award would be good to have but the amount off time u would have to put into to make the code right would be a waste
Not what i was saying at all, some of those would be cool to have though. Only if they didnt count for anything, just fun little facts/ achievements at the end.
Just because it might be a bit of work(and I'm not even saying this needs to be accomplished before the BIG fixes) doesn't mean that it shouldn't be. The last time I checked this game is a team based game, and because of the current system some of those team members are all but being ignored.
There's no way I'll play Sedna/Queen of Thorns/Oak in a Pantheon game if it means I'm going to be ranked 100,000/100,000 while my buddy playing Rook get's to be 1/100,000 because he's had a dedicated support character.
Since when is experience based on heals/dmg done?
all abilites give u exp so spaming healling gives u exp even wings on reg gives u a little more then normal
In-game or...? The ranked experience? How much xp does casting spit give you? Never heard of that.
Personally, I would even settle for no extra favor, just anything that showed my teammates at the end I was a big help. Maybe if you heal someone while in battle, they can add that to your "Assists" rating; that would be great, because you are "assisting". Many battles a teammate would have had to retreat, instead of getting a kill, if us Sednas were not there to heal.
You can save butts all game, and still get "Partisipant" as your reward.
perhaps just extra experience and/or favor for using shields/heal on others, seems a simple fix, rather than a complex one.
I do find the game puts way too much emphasis on killing and damage when it awards favor.
Sure they are important, but lets be honest.
- The most damage will be done by those with many AOE abilities (or some at least). Others will be waaaay behind. I can win games for my team as sedna or regulus while having less than half the damage of the most damaging player.- Most grunts killed will also go to the AoE demigods- Buildings: demigods that can either stay out of tower reach for auto attacking (regulus), give quick damage bursts (TB) or just plain heal from buildings (rook). Others will have a significantly harder time tackling towers and as such you will not likely see them having the most building kills.- Gold: kinda comes from kills (so back to AoE again)- Citadel upgrades: directly related to gold, unless you are artifact whoring.- Flags: About the only stat which is killwhoring independent. You can have a reasonable chance of winning it with any demigod, although rooks are at a disadvantage there, but they make up for it in other areas - deaths: Sedna and QoT are the likely candidates for least deaths, but if you are a good enough player, you can avoid dying with any demigod.- kills: depends heavily on player skills, teamwork and demigod matchup.

Bottomline... most of the awards (and favor point distribution) seem to be biased towards the damage heavy demigods.
What i would like to see:
Awards that reward creativity, thinking, and TEAMPLAY.
- Favor points for not upgrading creeps blindly whenever you can (as stupid as it sounds:P)- Favor points for locking flags with enemies on them- Bonus Favor points for defending (locking) home (behind your towers) flags from the enemy demigods- Bonus Favor points for capturing (locking) enemy flags (behind their towers) with enemies on them.(actually, these three should be somewhat intelligent, so only award the bonus, if an enemy happens to try and cap the flag 10 seconds after it was locked. This would prevent people to blindly lock safe flags just for the bonus.)- Favor points for using buff items on friends, like say someone using an universal gadget to heal you 2k HP should definitely be rewarded for it.- Favor points for using teleports well (teleporting to flags being captured and holding them for at least 10 more seconds - or permanently, or just restoring them back to fully captured)
The list could go on really.. you get the idea. Granted, these might be harder to track than the simple stats tracked now, but they would give a much better picture of who did what in the game at the end, when you look at the favor point distribution.
This is a team game, yet almost every game i've been in, favor points were awarded for individualism and kill whoring.
Why not just make a Damage/Healing award? After all, if Sedna is truly balanced, her Healing and Damage combined should be roughly equivalent to the Damage of pure damage dealers. If not, sounds like she has some nerfing coming.
doesn't sedna's heal count as negative damage right now anyway? I'm pretty sure heals don't lower your damage count at the end of the game, but do they raise it or do they not affect it?
You can tell heals count as damage cuz they will stop your heart of life...
Okay, a couple things I haven't seen brought up yet, but I apologize if they were as I only read about 70% of the thread and skimmed the rest.
All generals can get priests, oak can heal on kills (and shields late game but that won't add up very well unless the game is super long), erebus can drain, UB can drain, everyone can get heal items, and even crystals could be counted towards self-healing.
Main thing is a bad sedna wouldn't be guaranteed the support award just for picking Sedna if you did it correclty and she wouldn't immediately be disqualified from damage and upgrade etc. if she were improved a bit herself.
I would really like to see a heal/regen/drain/steal/absorb reward added though, for the fun of it if nothing else.
I am all for the fun awards that dont give any favor, something like 007 on n64, "most useless demigod".. just something to laugh about at the end of the game.
