I just enjoyed my first game online, and in all fairness, bar one guy dropping out with a ping of 1500, it went very smoothly. We chatted in the lobby before the game started, enjoyed some ingame chat (although why it's limited to same-team I've no idea), and eventually won the game.
Wootz!
Except.. after the game ends, and the scores/awards are on the screen, all that's left to do is quit to main menu. I really felt like congratulating the other players, discussing the game and generally newbing around in the chat lobby, but it seems that the designers don't want us to make freinds online in the game.
Please, make the game return to chat lobby after ending!
Good suggestion...very good in fact.
Shift + Enter to talk to all, Enter to talk to teammates. Unfortunately the score interface obscures the chat to some degree, but i have had many a friendly chat post game all the same.
I agree -- why can't we go back to lobby and set up another game after? The way it is now, everyone has to re-find each other and reconnect as well! It's a huge hassle and a big time waster.
I concur. It's really strange when you want to banter about the end scores and stuff and then suddenly you're back on the very first main menu... after the game is the best time to add people to your Friends list too, so it's sad to miss out on the opportunity if you can't remember their name. I know Steam has a list of people you've recently played with, does Impulse?
