How exactly is that calculated? Why me with 5W 0L and 700 favor points have less than one with 0W 3L ??? I even have 735 favor points!!
IMO everything is really messed up right now
I would say its probably bugged.
great, like favor wasnt enough
Also, it's an Elo rating system. This means it's impossible for someone 5-0 to have a lower score then someone 0-3, so I must assuming you're lying or simply got the wrong data. That, or the system is broken.
Yes, its totally broken. Check out this page of the current tourney stats [as of 11:00 PST Thurs,April 30] You'll see there's very little to no correlation between W/L ratio (or number of games played) and experience.
For instance, consider:
Bertl025 (first in list) with a W/L of 1.0 zxzxza (third) with a W/L of 2.75
Despite a an almost 3:1 difference in their W/L ration, they're only two places apart, out of more than 6000. Moreover, the 1.0 W/L is ahead of the 2.75. Even moreover, the 2.75 W/L has played almost 3x the number of games. And, just for good measure, the 2.75 W/L has more favor points, which actually appears to be affecting rank negatively.
I'm at a loss for a rational explanation as to why Bertl025 (nothing personal Bert) is ahead of zxzxz.

Say what? this whole system is messed up (not to say fucked)
the system work with experiences point , you can loose a game and earn more XP then someone who won a game, just because you had more kills , killed more grunts , bought more citadel upgrade , captured more flags , destroyed buildings and did overall more dmg then the players who won .
I don't think the system is broken, I just think that it isn't showing what really matter : the overall skill of the player !
P.S : this is just a random though and have no fact to back it up !
since I have 735 favor points, means I also had many achievemts, so no, your theory is not correct
I never ( or rarely ) saw a guy on the loosing team getting anything else then ''participant'' as achievement , even if they were really good players . so Favor points shouldn't mean much if he didn't win a single game yet .
P.S random though , nothing to back it up , again ... !
and in their constant loosing they have more experience than those who win....then let's keep loosing
system is about facts not feelings. The algoritm is based on somthing precise and in that regards it is broken.
Hey Dracook, check the posted image again and locate magnum101 0W 1L 15M playtime. And try to figure out what he managed to do in that time to get the same experience as all the rest
It *might* be some combination of favor points + who you were playing against when those favor points were gained.
As long as the player rankings are taking custom matches with AI's only into account, they don't really mean anything to me. Look at the top 10 players, all of them have between 20-100 1-minute matches on prison. If you can get ranking that way, ranking doesn't mean anything...
TBH im more annoyed at the random disconnects on the loading screen and then getting loses from it.
Only Pantheon games i have lost so far have been when I / others have disconnected while loading into the game and it shows it up as a loss.
The same issue is in Pantheon rankings...I have same stats or better than some top 20, but I'm no 200+
loosing != losing
Very usefull...
Anyway, on topic - I somehow think it correlates favor earned to number of minutes played. If that is the case then this is a complete FAIL
At present, the rankers are in favor of the vauge use of Experience over Favor Points and Win/Lose ratios. Experience being the result of how many challanging battles you've faught. Killing someone more skilled than you gets you more Experience, farming new players for points gets you next to nothing.
It doesn't matter exactly how they caculcate ranking, only that it be coherent and published.
If we're not told how it works, we'll never trust it = why bother.
