I was searching for the threads on this topic to see if there was any dev answer or comment on the bug.
The bug:
Some times you issue commands to a demigod, like attack or make a skill and it doesnt respond until you issue a move command. After moving even if just an inch the demigod gets responsive again.
This is a major bug that seems to happen when u least need it
Networking and connecting is more important than this, yes, but after that i can't see any other bug or problem as big as this one (well maybe the /nosound issue).
Like i said before i searched for the threads on this issue and they all seem to have vanished
Please, lots of you guys are frustrated by this bug, post here your experiences and show GPG and Stardock how bad this bug is.
For the record this bug exists at least since beta 2, and as long as it exists i can't see how demigod can be a really competetive game in the major gaming sites.
The game being randomly broken for everyone makes it balanced but not acceptable for competition.
Having a word on this bug from the devs (even a "we r looking into it") would be nice, for once.
Support this thread dont let it "vanish" like the others. (if some one finds the other threads please link here)
Yes i experience this issue almost once per game with SEDNA. When I try to use her healing ability nothing happens no matter how many times i click, then I move around a bit and boom she starts healing no problem.
Many threads on this topic. The devs have to be aware of it as its a common problem affecting all demigods.
Well, i thought that in beta too, when i played the game after release and found that the bug was exactly the same, i got really disapointed.
I also read lots of threads on this already, but don't seem to be able to find any at the moment, please link them here if you do find them. I'll put the links in the 1st post.
Edit: And please, if you find any post of a dev or moderator acknowledging this bug, post it here too. Because i never saw that.
The Dev's haven't made any comments on some of these big bugs as far as I know, which is pretty dissapointing. I know they are working on some multiplayer stuff but they could at least acknowledge these issues.
There are a few key things I would like addressed even before they start adding new content, mainly Fixing the UI bugs like above and what the plans for modding are.
Maybe they just don't have enough hands to get around to these things at the moment... see what happens i guess.
This single bug is a pretty big gamebreaker for me. The number of times it happens in any given game is a good enough reason for me to give up on playing the game period. It's such a frustrating thing.
Yeah I have the same problem.
Too bad, this could be a great game but it has bugs holding it back.
I share your pain, there is nothing more frustrating than getting killed or missing a planed kill because of a bug. I find myself spam clicking after every skill in case the bug happens, and that is not good
I don't mean to flame or criticise the devs for their work, i'm here like many are to provide any information they require to nail the bug down. But please, give us 100% responsive game engine, cut on the graphics if you have to.

I get this bug a lot aswell... it's been the reason why I am sometimes unable to kill enemy demigods when they flee because my demigod just sits there for a few seconds doing nothing until I get him a MOVE order and then attack order, it's very buggy..
I've bought a game yesterday. I've experienced this bug too. Lots of times. I am very very disappointed. At the moment this game's price is much lower than it is. I hope that developers fix this soon.
Me too. I've notice it especially when i try to use an ability. I think your demigod gets deselected or something. It's very frustrating.
I have also encountered this problem. However, sometimes it's even worse and I completely get locked out of being able to select skills, potions. Everytime the first bug appears, this second one usually comes along with it and I have to stop the game and start anew.
I've been getting it worse each patch. Stardock should really be ashamed at this joke of a launch.
Yeah this is a real shame because the game is awesome and clearly just needed another month or two of hard work on fixing the large number of bugs that sadly persist and make the game mostly unplayable for some of us.
I have stopped playing Sedna completely solely because of this bug. Previously my favorite DG, I'm simply sick and tired of not even being able to heal half the time, let alone watching a DG that I'm actively attacking turn around and run away with 200 HP left, watching as Sedna stops attacking and stands there brain dead, or getting stuck with a flag pole sticking out of the middle of my character.
UB and Rook also have terrible pathing. It's clear that the DGs with large or wide character models suffer from this extensively.
Erebus is neither large nor wide. Erebus suffers from this about every 5 mins. Its horrible.
I like to play Torch Bearer and this frequently happens after spamming a lot of spells. It never occurs when trying to cast a non-targeted (player-centered or AoE) spell, as those occur instantly. It only happens when casting targeted spells (usually Fireball).
Usually it happens like this: Frost Nova, Rain of Ice, Deep Freeze, switch to fire, Fire Nova, Fireball, Fireball, Fireball, Fireball DAMNIT WHY ISNT MY FIREBALL WORKING (enemy escapes)
I usually depend on hitting my opponent with a final fireball before they run out of range. The delay introduced by this glitch has ruined many kills for me.

hehe, that one made me lol, is much true. is funny to read but is not funny when it happens inside the game
there is no doubt the bug exists, and when it happens, maybe why it happens is more dificult to find out but anything i can do to help find out i'll do it
about demigod getting deselected it has nothing to do with this bug, happens when u click ur portrait or smth when trying to move, is anoying though
lets keep those experiences about this bug rolling to see if we can get any dev to come here and acknowledge it
With Sedna is the worse, i think...Once i failed 3 times in a row to activate the healing spell. It was clear as day it wasn't responding to the command.
Here's a video of the problem as experienced by UB. I intentionally didn't issue a move order to cancel the bug becuase I'm showing the bug itself and not how to cancel it.

I can confirm this issues with the Rook, my hammer slam would not activate untill I moved him. It only happened once the entire round.

Still no word from any dev...
GPG is aware of this issue and it is a top priority for them; they've made good progress in identifying the causes, but it may take a while to completely resolve.

If we can do anything to help, anything more specific please say so. To reproduce this bug, in my experience, you just have to chain skills with vampire or tb, happens all the time.
