I hate to admit it but 360 would not be having the piracy or connection issues that Demigod on PC has. Plus with the simple click interface this game would play just as well on the 360.
I don't mean to be a dick but what you said is pure fiction.
1) 360 has connectivity issue. Look at Gears 2 and how long that took to sort out.
2) Piracy does exist on the 360 (and the Wii and DS). How do you think people hack in games on the 360?

3) You would have to pay to play online.
4) You would end up paying 60 bucks for the game instead of 40.
5) LAN games would be non existant

That would be $79 instead of $40 for me here in Austria (only impulse uses the correct euro<->USD exchange rates).
And you forgot the DLC: new demigod etc. would go away for money on a console (usually $10 , or $13 in europe )

Well I enjoyed Halo wars for its gameplay and simplicity. I used to love the deep RTS, but now I don't have time for it. And that's why I was drawn to demigod...it too is a very simple RTS. So yeah, I think it would do very well on a console.
keep the good multiplayer games on PC please, so we don't have to sacrifice multitudes of features for a gamepad, an overpiced service, and some empty notion that consoles are better for casuals.
consoles are better for beat em ups ifthey made dg into a beat em up then it would work but i highly doubt it
There are upsides and downsides to both.
On the Xbox 360, all the multiplayer matchmaking is handled by the console maker so the matchmaking horror we've been experiencing wouldn't have happend.
On the PC, developers have to either create their own connectivity (ala RelicOnline, IroncladOnline, Battle.net), license one (like we did with Raknet or others do with GameSpy Arcade).
But you don't get charged on the PC for playing multiplayer so that's nice.
If there was a 360 version of Demigod, the game would have to be simplified. No generals, for instance. So it would be a different game.
You can't *Click* on the 360 so the interface and UI would have to be greatly changed. It could be done, but would require a ton of work (you'd have to drive your Demigod Vs point and click to tell them where to go).
It's a major change if you look at all the little details (which you have to do, if you want to have good controls/translation).

I agree it would be a different game, but it could be very similar but just changed to support the controller. Remember just because it'sa controller doesn't mean it can't be fun. You just have to do things differently.
There are PC games and there are Console Games.Cross-platform games are usually only shooters, and from my experience, the difference between a stupid controller and a gaming mouse there is no comparison.
Notice how you can't play together on them usually. This is for a reason. There was a port of Q3 to one of the consoles that could be played vs PC. The console players got obliterated. As far as I know, no game which was supposed to include that, has since then. I wonder why.
Depends on the game and the developer and/or publisher.

Not all genre suffer the cross platform idea. There have been more than enough RTSs on consoles to show people just how incredibly inferior they are to the PC versions. Halo Wars is as close to a playable RTS on a console (well duh since it's one of the first specifically designed for one) but it lacks any real depth and the only thing that keeps its popularity in the spotlight is the IP. Also single player puzzle games and action games tend to fair equally well on both platforms.
I didn't read through the 4 pages of what I'd assume are "Object A sucks because I purchased Object B," But there are somethings that in all honesty do make sense.
You could play one of the Assasin DGs on any of the current consoles quite easily. I highly doubt any of the generals would work so well. The best way I could see this working is if movement of the Demigod's was based on the Joystick or D-pad or whatever you kids call those things. Would it be a wise move for Stardock/GPG? Not really, since Demigod's audience isn't in consoles. (No offence to anyone who owns them, but my experience shows a stronger preference to FPS titles than RTS, Not factoring the hybrid elements).
