These are just my ideas, feel free to add.
Name of Demigod: TBD
Type of Demigod: General
General description: More of a classic wizard. Carries a staff, wears long robes.
Abilities:
Ability 1.
I like the idea of an egyptian/historic type warrior (assassin) male/female. Add in the God of War type weapons (chains attached to wrists and weapons). There is a male side and a female side
Abilities Include: (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Male Side); (5, 6, 7, 8 Female Side)
1. Auto Rage - Depending on level Gives a Attack/Speed boost withing the last 1/3 or 1/4 life left.
2. Self Sacrifice - If about to die (last 1/8 of life) one final gust of attack that does considerable damage and stuns DG. "If I'm going down I'm taking you with me."
3. Whirling Dervish - A tornado like attach with weapons on fully extended chains attack in a target area. Duration and Damage depend on level.
4. Concentrated Blow - A blow with medium based damage that knocks back enemy DG and possibly stuns.
5. Change Sex - Change to other Sex.
6. Come Hither - Use weapons to grab enemy DG and bring them to you success ratio depending on level.
7. Launch - Dig weapons into ground near enemy DG and pull/launch yourself toward selected enemy DG.
8. Hold Up - Wrap enemy DG in chains of weapon immobilizing enemy DG for (x) amount of seconds more depending on level.
Ability 1 & 2 could be combined and could be for later level ups. And could predetermine a 2v1 gank with unfortunate results.
These are just some thoughts but It would probably work best with an norse/greek/roman/egyptian god-like charactor as their mythologies have strong male and female examples. Norse: Viking/Valkrie; Greek: Ares or Kratos/Athena; Roman: Mars/Minerva; Epyptian: Anubis/Bastet.
Why has no one suggested a reflect ability?
Name of Demigod: The Warrior Priestess
Type of Demigod: assassin
Background: The Warrior Priestess history start thousends of years ago. she was a davotee of her god, and for her faith her god blessed her with power to spread his word and worship. as time passed she became his most faithful devotee until her faith grew too strong and he became jelous. for his jelousy over her actions on mortal lands he abandoned her to her suffering. abandoned, she chose the path of solitude, living on a little shrine she made herself on a mountain. after a thounsand years, waiting for her death she discoverd she cant get old. she meditated for a long time until she has discovered her faith in herself and by this new discovery she got back to the world defending what is good and punishing evil. after she found her faith is strong enough she started looking for revenge in her old god that abandoned her, looking to banish him from the mortal world once and for all as she believes he is a false god.
Active Abilities:

4. soul conviction - when hitting other demigods she is draining thier mana for her use. no one shall defy her faith. 30/45/60
she carries a morning star and a heavy shield, half plated armor.
Pros: all around demigod, high survaivability.
cons: very mana dependant, no range attacks.
let me know what you think, sorry for my spelling i am not an english speaker.
i will corrent them if this idea will be likable by other forum members.
The 'new' demigod concept I'd embrace is the ability to create pantheons that represent the gods of various cultures through history. Given my forum nick, my first choice would be a set of Aesir (old Norse) gods, such as Thor, Odin, Loki, etc. Given my alternate forum nick ("Vanir"), I'd be looking at Frey and Freya and others from the Vanir of old Norse Mythos doing battle with the Giants in Alfheim or on the flaming rainbow bridge of Asgard.
Don't like Norse mythology? That's ok, because having download packages of ancient Greek gods battling out on Mt Olympus, the Celtic pantheon burning one another in some pastured highland (or whatever floats your boat) would be the holy grail for me. I do hope Demigod development continues long enough to see a selection of pre-made packages covering a variety of such historic mythology. I think it would be amazing to log on and see games listed by their pantheon.
If user-content creation tools get released and are mature enough, I'd expect such ideas to become the focus of some project right away.
Name: Archion
Type: Assassin
Theme: Melee user, emphasis on debuffs and draining (bear with me on this), avoiding damage
Allignment: Evil
Description(needs elaboration): Archion once served in the armies of hell as an officer, leading the legions undead and demons in the name of evil. Moves quickly and uses a sword forged from hell (bleh, so trite, lol). Emphasizes on avoiding attacks and using his opponents' presence to his advantage.
Active Abilities
1.) Insatiable Grasp. Archion lunges forward a moderate distance, impaling his foe for 200/350/500/650 damage. The opponent is then rooted in place while he drains 10%/20%/25%/30% of their maximum mana over a period of 1.5 seconds. Costs 250/350/450/550 mana and has a cooldown of 15 seconds.
2.) Abyssal Aura. Activates a draining aura within a moderate radius of Archion, draining 10/15/20/25 hp per second from each oponent in range at the cost of 4% of Archion's maximum mana per second. All enemies being drained lose 5%/10%/15% movement speed and 5%/10% attack speed. Archion cannot use any of his abilities while in this form. Turning off the aura takes one second (similar to TB's ice form to fire form interval). Cannot be used with Annhilation Aura.
3.) Lumination. Archion releases his power in a large blast radius, dealing 450/650/850/1050 damage and interrupting all skills at the cost of 600/800/1000/1200 mana. Takes 1.5 seconds to cast and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
4.) Annhiliation Aura. Archion empowers his allies with his zeal at the cost of his own safety. Archion loses 30/40/50 hp per second and 4% of his maximum mana per second while giving himself and his allies +5%/+10%/+15% movement and attack speed and his allies +10% health (lvl 15 rank). Archion also takes 30% more damage while this aura is activated. Cannot be used with Abyssal Aura.
Passive Abilities
1.) Blade Dancer. Increases Archion's ability to dodge by 15%/20%/25%. If Archion successfully dodges, he will immediately counterattack if his opponent is in range and +5%/+10% (final two rank only) movement speed for 5 seconds.
Note: Increasing % dodge from items will stick with Blade Dancer and any dodge will activate the appropriate buffs, provided that Archion has taken Blade Dancer.
2.) Immolation Blade. Imbues Archion's blade with the fires of hell, burning the opponent upon being struck for 15/20/25/30 damage every second for 3 seconds. This effect stacks three times.
Might come back to elaborate a bit more on this, but this is the basic idea.
Name : Tauren Lord
Type : General
I'm you lord: TL take control over a # of ennemy tauren depending on the spell level
Follow me: When TL is in an allied waves of creep, he can order them to follow him
Tauren spirit: when a tauren die near his lord (or near a totem) he became a tauren spirit.
limited on time ? just a ghost unit, doing 0 damage ?
@PhoenixBomb: Woah Lord Erebus much? You have bat swarm, mist, that stunning move I've forgotten the name of... It just seems to be an version of Erebus easily achievable with an Assassin build.
EDIT: Mass Charm, that was it...
The Frogboy idea seems too generic D&D. I'd prefer something more exotic like what other posters have suggested.
No idea if these have been mentioned because I'm not in the mood to read eleven pages--
One idea for a general I had included something like Frogboy's "Charm Beast" teamswitching creep/minion idea. I was thinking of a more psychic-powers themed general with mind-slave minions, an AoE attack to melt creeps' brains or something, stealing troops from the enemy, and something like the Armistice ability of the one capital ship in Sins of a Solar Empire, where towers/creeps/minions would ignore the demigod, his minions, and any nearby creeps. Essentially letting him wreak havoc with huge waves of his own minions and creeps + mind controlled enemy ones, damage towers without any pain in return or just walk past them to cap portal flags, etc.
Assassin idea: TBish weather-focused one with lightning, wind, and storms. Unfortunately, Erebus' bat swarm would've also been a great style attack for this, but oh well. Lightning bolt for direct damage + stun, AoE storm creation for area denial and slow (acting kinda like the lightning storm from the Weather Control Device in Red Alert 2), tornado that acts a bit like Boulder Roll but focused on damage instead of stun. Perhaps could combine tornado and storm at level 15 to make some massive hurricane attack.
Another general: One with lots of absolutely killer minions but not much of anything in the way of burst damage or protection himself. Basically a human on a chariot with a bunch of kickass soldiers.
I would love to see a HP Lovecraftesque type Demigod who can drive people insane (debuff) by being around them.
I think a Beholder could be a perfect Demigod for this game.
I'd like to see a stealth style demigod, ala WoW rogues. Basically, the demigod is invisible to players not on his team while using the stealth ability. I could see this costing no mana and being maintainable as long as you want, although an initial mana cost / mana cost per second you stay stealthed could be a good way to balance it. Stealth would be very powerful in demigod, so it would obviously need some restrictions -
Can't be used "in combat" (you can't cast the stealth ability unless you haven't taken damage in the last 10 seconds)
Slowed movement in stealth (probably half movement speed, perhaps up to 75% with points in the stealth ability)
Taking damage knocks you out of stealth (think AOEs here to destealth the demigod)
Standing too close to an enemy unit / structure / demigod lets that unit / structure / demigod "see" you (they can target you through your steath and damage you to remove it)
Going full on WoW-style could be an option (basically while you are stealthed you have a separate set of abilities) but I think stealth itself would be so powerful that this would be unnecessary.
I also think another healer demigod would be nice, if nothing else but to take some of the pressure off Sedna's to literally be forced into heal spec.
My idea would be as follows...
It would look something like this. Maybe not as dark, I'd say it has the black armour-type bits, but instead of fire coming out it glows a dark purple. It has the two arms, and tapers off at the bottom.
Demigod Name: Bane (working title... I'd like to see something better.)
Basic Description: Bane is a personification of the fear that the Gods inspire in those in the world. All of their nightmares, fears, and phobias are all channeled into the one place even the Gods themselves fear. Bane is the Keeper of Fear, the Dread Lord of Terror. His very form is fear and terror, and channels his essence into his enemies who are quickly routed and slaughtered.
Bane is an assassin Demigod, able to disrupt and destroy enemy Demigods' ability to fight. He is very mana-dependant, but his spells and abilities are strong. His health and autoattack damage are below-average to offset this. He would have the following abilities:
Grip of the Dark One: (Channeling) Stuns a target Demigod (similar to ub's grip). The time a Demigod is Gripped is based on level, but is dealt no damage. Instead, when it is freed, the victim's armour is reduced by 30% for a short duration.
Channeled Terror (Level 15 special): The target is also slowed by 15% when released.
Umbral Rip: Targets an area, all enemies in the area are forced to move outside of the target zone, and take a scaling penalty to their damage.
The Enfeebling Black: Single target ability, the target takes a very large unstackable penalty to damage, a moderate penalty to health regeneration, and their ability to regenerate mana is removed.
Your Delicious Terror (Level 15 Special): The target is silenced for the duration of this ability, and Bane receives their lost mana regeneration.
Shattering Presence (Passive, Aura): Enemies in the aura receive a penalty to their armour, reflecting Bane's terrifying presense on the battlefield.
The Edge of Life (Passive): Whenever an enemy dies while near Bane, there is a chance that they will heal him for a small percentage of their hit points.
The Dark Lord (Passive, Level 15 special with above two passives as prerequisites): Bane always heals a small amount of damage when an enemy unit dies near him (less than Edge of Life), and each enemy that dies gives a stacking minor penalty to armour to the remainder of the enemies inside the aura. [Note: Essentially, every enemy that dies would heal maybe a third of the HP it would if it had healed him based on the chance of that happening, and when it does die, it gives an extra penalty to armour on top of the penalty given off by the original aura. On issues of balance, this effect is small at best.]
For We Are Many... (Passive, on Death): When Bane dies, his essence remains to continue to haunt the enemy. Similar to Oak's on death ability, Bane splits up into a few flying aspects of fear that last for a few seconds. At the last level, his armour penalty aura remains centered on where he died.
So what happend to the 2 demigods that were "in developement" ?
Good idea. Like where u are going with his support abilities.
I really like the lovecraft stuff. though he'd probably be better as an assasin, cause the assasin class is so badass, awesome, and tough.just one character that goes to battle and holds their own.
Kul`Thar as an Assasin class could have massive damage, and have the ability to 'drive enemies mad' momentarily. 2 secs/4 secs/6 secs/8 secs even if its only minions, then have level 3/4 of that ability cause 2/4 secs of 'madness' though to add this demigod all characters existing would need a 'writhing in madness' animation, which would be a fair bit of work for one ability, as awesome as it would be.
I have idea for that techno demigod you guys are talking about. Name: Arachniad, uses clocks and is made out of gold and bronze. He could be an assassain or a general. Just a very faint idea. Be sure to check out my other dg ideas such as my Jungle king idea or check out lucifer(not my post but i did some replies).
I've been playing other games lately and I've come to the realization that the side of Darkness needs a Demigod that poisons enemies. Spit is the closest thing to this right now, but I think a Demigod focusing on such a concept might be cool.
Actives:
Basically, it's a debuffer/assassin Demigod with some Area Denial abilities.
A demigod with chains for a weapon would be nice... either ranged or melee would be acceptable. The ability to grapple (UB Stun) another player would be a nice ability.
compliments to mark zug for an amazing picture--sry mtg fan.
Beforehand I want to apologize if this has already been mentioned.

NovaBartonMelquiades
Chek them out.
the abilities sound good, but i dont like the way he looks.old man in robes with a staff is just too...typical for a wizard.all other characters are unique, and i doubt you'll find a character similar to the Rook,so why not make this new demigod a lot more original?the reason why i'm playing this game is probably because of it's originality.good luck
I guess the first ability should be taught at lv 1,4,7, and 10. Not 1,4,8,and 10
