You can tell me that its too early to talk balance, that "the only OP demigod is always the one that kills you", there is no such thing as OP but that's BS.
Erebus is OP, and you can tell me I'm wrong but I guarantee you are going to see him get a nerf sooner or later.
ALOT of people underestimate Oak's prowess.

To point out something jara.. muddle increases skill recharge times. (of course OP wouldn't know that.) The reason i'm annoyed at him using my stuff is because he strikes as someone who couldn't have made it up himself. He saw the info and came to the conclusion that he's OP, when in fact erebus just has a lttle too many advantages. Mist is good against some other demi's and items, not just UB.
You can mist parasite gg off you. (pretty needed if you're running a minion build)
Can mist tracking bug off you so regulus can't snipe you as you try to go back to base.
Has several uses of being able to dodge attacks.
Couldn't see a erebus build without it. It's simply too versatile of a move, it's like oaks shield without having to target anyone. If anything the animation should be lengthed as currently as long as you press it before the attack hits you avoid everything even if your character model still shows.
Yeah oak and sedna are definitely better late game. Erebus dominates early on(Bite is very effecient)
I've suggested the most nerfs too Erebus, but they are very minor nerfs. He's not that too good.

I do think Mist could be seen more and more exploited. A 2-3 second cooldown to all skills when it ends would keep erebus from leaching up some health or bats'ing away right after he exits, giving you a chance to stun him or silence him.
Is it a joke? At the begining you're lacking mana and bat teleportation and you can't tank. Even the mist is useless (edit:I mean for kill another dg and compared to a heal/shield skill at same level) until you get enought mana item for support it (its just a debuff/attack evade, like fireball/snipe/hammer). I find erebus one of the weaker at beginning. And if you play vs a sedna or queen (the two it's worse) you can do nothing. In 1vs1 in the first levels, it's impossible for erebus to win against thoses two, and even in a 3vs2 battle on the map, the heal/shield at the beginning if well played help Sedna/queen and a teammate to stay alive. Against a rook playing def with tower it's same. Well played at begining I dont try to charge it, even when I get first bat teleportation, or only when it's 3vs1.
I find that Erebus get all his potential only when you get the 4 skills and enought mana for spam them. At this point he become a killer and later level 15+ is the best. But until you get all the item/skill, well, you can already loose the game. Of course I've never tried Erebus with full creeps. Wonder how it play. Anyone can talk about it?
EDIT: About skill cooldown after mist, thought it was the point to be able to undo mist fast and attack just after, at the moment other players forget about you and you're 'deadly' bite. Used it 1-2 times like that, transform into mist waiting teammate coming help me, and during the battle that occur over me come back and finish the one trying to escape.
If you want stun/silence erebus when he stop mist and use bat, dont stand in middle of the mist. Just camp the path far enough to stuck erebus after a teleportation. And still, you need enought mana for a teleporation after a mist, it's possible only later in game. Before that, even if you can do it, you are out of mana after the jump and can't bite/mist again...
LAST EDIT: Rook towers are a good counter vs mist. IF you go into mist for life save an have low life, just when you go back normal the tower hit you. You don't have enought time for teleportation or escape and mist don't damage the towers (didn't noticed it). Fire ring can be deadly too when you don't have enought mana for stay in mist. The ice rain can caught you after the teleporation if the TB is well placed I think.
Um. Everyone lacks mana in the begining, and bite gives 300 health healed, damage done, movespeed and armor reduction for only 300 mana.
Have you bothered comparing that to other level1 skills? Apparently not. Or.. have you even played?
There's a lot of fail in this thread, so I encourage people to try this:
1. Play Queen of Thorns exclusively for 4-8 hours.
2. Play Lord Erebus exclusively for 4-8 hours.
For me, it was like going from Navy SEALS training to whack-a-mole. Every single game I've played as him I've had the highest number of kills by a significant margin (2x or more). I go toe-to-toe with the Rook; often times I don't even bother moving out of the hammer slam. I can kill Sedna solo. Regulus barely tickles. But hey, if people don't want to try it, feel free to buff Erebus.
Please, stop with the ridiculous theorycraft and try the actual game. They aren't the same thing.
^ LOLZ
So because we don't want to nerf erebus it automatically means we want to buff him? I bow to your amazing logic there.
A better way to put it would be: Trying eating an apple then an orange. What's that THEY'RE DIFFERENT you say? Yeah they'e a like cause they're both fruits but they're not the same thing.
So because I said feel free to buff Erebus it automatically means I meant you automatically meant you want to buff him? Here, this might help.
Most kills = game won, right?

No, not necessarily, but it definitely helps. I can do it while maintaining a flag majority. I'm guessing the light team in that game had the lower war score.
You confirm my on-line, MP experience as a too frequent victim of Erebus.
When I perceive that I'm set-up against a competent player who knows how to maneuver & manipulate the Vampire Lord, I'm really impressed ... and scared. No other DG inspires me awe & terror as much as Erebus. As an Ice-TB specialist, I haven't figured out yet how to deal with him ... except to run away and seek some other spot on the map to throw my snowballs on.
Your statement does give ammo to those who would wish to nerf Erebus : perhaps, as the eminent innociv as suggested (see reply #56), some "very minor nerfs".
As a note, the suggested nerfs would make him halfway in between how he was in phase3 beta to how he was now. Erebus is only VERY SLIGHTLY too good. He isn't a win button like phase3 rook and tb.
He gain 1 sec on mass charm, 40% steal increase on bite, 1 sec longer debuff on bite, 10% more survivability, 10% more movespeed, 10% more damage.
Only thing really taking away is fixing bats not to gross gaps, 5 range nerf on it, and adding a skill disable on mist exit which the last bit I'm not sure is nessisary really.
innociv's pic just show some broken things in Demigod.
.. It's broken that a team with lower levels and less kills can win handily?
Why?
You think just because our level and kills where lower we didn't have madder skills? =] It's strategy.
My recommendation:
Reduce the range on Bat Swarm by 5. Add a 2 second silence effect to Erebus after he casts bat swarm, since it's the teleport-bite combo that pushes him over the line, and it's only going to get more powerful when the control glitches are fixed.
Eh bats-bite is fine. It's bats, bite, then misting to wait for the mto recharge to repeat it that's bad.
I stopped getting mist and I still have no problems dominating every other demigod. Usually I just beat on the enemy for the 5 seconds or so it takes to recharge bite. Any damage I received is mostly mitigated by the next bite.
Yeah. Mass charm is real good too now that it's 3 seconds..
People complained that frost nova stun was too long(3 sec) especially compared to mass charm being 4 point investment, and instead of lowering frost nova they raised mass charm.
After playing many games against erebus as TB I can now say.. that Erebus is just SLIGHTLY overpowered.. just slightly.. but not by much. Even if they left him like this I would be fine because he can still be taken down.. just slow him down and freeze him and don't allow him to use his skills.. if you can't do that.. run, TB is faster than LE.
Erebus is faster by .3.
Doh.. I thought you might say that.. I am wearing the boots of +10% and Favor item (when I can get it) of speed 15%.
