Lord Erebus and Oak are easy mode, they are better than all of the assassins and they get followers which are useful, not to mention the general glitch for healer blobs.
i dont have an idea how to fix them, but there skilless W+M1ness is horrifying and i will just kick players who decide to play them.

Ok new rule when making any balance topics containing the words nerf or OP; think long and hard about how to play them and how to beat them, try really hard to prove yourself wrong before you even post anything.
Then, if you're still sure, include reasons why they're harder to counter than any other effective strategies. If you've thought extra hard, include some steps that might remedy it without making a worse problem.
I doubt the balance is perfect myself, so it may be that quite a few things need changing, but the onus is to prove there's a real need to change something, not fling your opinion out there and believe people will find that valid.
"I think round rock is heavier than square rock" isn't going to convince everyone untill you get the scales out and weigh them carefully.

Where is your evidence that they're over powered? How many test cases (games played where you try to beat Erebus or Oak) have you done?
Refusing to play them imo shows you don't know what you're talking about. A GOOD player will continue to play them and try to figure out which demigod, which skills and which gear are best at defeating them. -Jara
PS: I play a mean Erebus, but I'm not invincible unless someone feeds me. Any Demigod who is fed becomes very powerful.
The balance is VERY good. They only gave Erebus a ~10% survival increase,10% move increase, 10% dmg increase, 250 life steal increase to bite and 1sec longer debuff duration, and 1sec longer stun and that made him go from the worst demigod in beta to the best.
But even when he was the worst, I did very well with him. I thought he was still pretty okay, and it's just that people tried to play him as a killer instead of the map control he's good at. You can mist on a flag and it makes it pretty annoying to try to cap taking 125dps except lvl 15+.
You could deny people killing you with mist, or his free warpstone called bats.
I've suggested some minor nerfs at http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348135 which I think will fix him.
People are being way too overzealous, not understanding the games balance, and thing something needs to be made half as good. When really, the balance is VERY good and it's more about how you play the Demigod, not what Demigod you play.
Man...Erebus isn't really that overpowered. It's a function of items and how you play, and that can be said of any demigod at all.
Admittedly, he can build a small horde of nightwalkers very fast with bat swarm, but, he's still the only general who has to actually fight to get his minions. Even oak can just drop his flag and run.
Erebus does need a slight nerf to Bite. I will beat you everytime if I play Erebus regardless of how good you are just because of his bite + mist + bat. The guy should not die unless he is chain stunned.
I can come very close to beating an Erebus with my Rook build but its very hard and if I'm not -PERFECT- he will destroy me. Thats the problem there is that if you aren't PERFECT vs him you will lose. FYI: I do get ARmor on my Rook so even with the -armor debuff I'm still sitting at a decent armor rating.
The problem with Erebus is that Bite does 900 dmg + heals for 900 health. Effectively an 1800 pt difference. Add in his 3 second stun that is casted faster than a boulder can be reacted to, unless you sit ready to select (Again, PERFECTION needed), you have 3 more seconds of beating and waiting for that Bite CD. The remainder of the cooldown (if per chance you are getting the beatdown done to you) you just Mist and wait out the last few seconds of the Bite while your minions beat on him and your mist deals damage. Counter? Walk away from mist to either A.) retreat to cover, or B.) His Escape route and wait for him. I typically take B and tower it up and wait for him to try to bat through me and heal up on a tower.
Last night I played someone who knew how to cheese Erebus. It was getting late for me but our fights typically resulted in him being ahead most of the fights w/ me with the occasional random chance I get lucky. At the end of the game we were equal levels but I think he might've been SLIGHTLY ahead with money. I made 1 mistake fighting him near my base and he came out with near full health. That should not be the case. I've managed to counter Unclean Beasts RIDICULOUS venom spit on my Rook but I'm still working on being PERFECT vs an Erebus.
I don't mind playing vs other demigod no matter what demigod I am because they seem more balanced overall with their skills and you can better counter them. Unfortunately I absolutely hate playing vs Erebus players that know how to cheese him to the max. I refuse to play Erebus anymore simply because its WAY too easy to win with him. Most of my games lately have been vs Erebus and Unclean Beast teams. Its gotten kinda lackluster to not see the other demigods. I just wonder how many people will still play Erebus / Unclean Beast very well once Venom spit and Bite get nerfed to normality.
Seriously dude, they are strong but there are counters to them. The games seriously been working decently for like a week... give it some time. In the meanwhile, use yer noggin' and figure out some ways to beat them. =]
people suck and they need to admit that rather then calling for nerfs, something i have noticed doing MP when i can is most players stay till they are almost dead, then try and run, you cant do that cause of bite or bats will kill you everytime.
oak is just fast and follows you, other demigods have snares etc.. as well people need to learn to run sooner when they cant win, not stick around and try and run near death.
Most games I only run with Bite I, late game 15+ I'll upgrade to Bite II and maybe Bite III.
My build is very minion heavy and I kill people all the time.
Bite is not the only issue, I personally think it's his health regen in combination with his bite.
Of course I'm still not 100% sure he needs any nerfing and that more test cases and playtesting needs to happen...
Well played Regulus and TB are a threat (Usually faster due to items and have longer range). An equaly geared Sedna (as she can last as long if not longer than Erebus + silence can be a killer). QoT can kill your your minions faster than most Demigods, etc.
There are a large amount of variables in this game and any demigod that is fed (gets to kill lots of other demigods) starts to get really powerful really quick.
Likewise if another demigod has more time on target, I.E. is more efficient and has more time gaining exp and gold puts them at an advantage regardless of which demigod they are playing.
THe Lord is OPed, needs a nerf.

ffs they've already nerfed erebus once, and no other demigod has been nerfed. He's my demigod of choice and if I get the nerf bat twice before anyone else does once I'm out the door (already halfway there).

This makes no sense.My statement was a reply to a comment that Demigod will fail because people are complaining about every thing. I gave a rebuttle to the comment, my statement, which was that in the online game World of Warcraft a large number of vocal players - or 'everyone' - complain about all aspects of the game and despite this the game has become the most financially successful game of all time. Thus, by extension, people complaining about every aspect of the game all the time is in no way connected to or a sign of a product, or game, that will falter. In short, people bitch and whine about every thing because when they get on the internet they vent all of their little thoughts with no brain-to-keyboard filter.
How this is connects to your line, which I can only guess is some kind of comment that Demigod needs to become the World of Warcraft, is something that isn't entirely clear.
