Could you explain what is Steel command ? I threw a look to the other topic but i found it not very clear for someone who didn't know what Steel Command was...There is nothing in your forum either to explain.
I understood it was about a role-play with games on ICO that involves changes in a kind of more global competition and that's all.
When he does explain it...come check the sorrowsworms! Not that I want to promote or anything but Carbon's team already has 3-4 members and SorrowSworn only has 2.

Steel Command was a Role playing league that was orginaly for Mech Commander. Basically it incorporated the in game map and battles into a larger universe where via the website, Different factions would fight for the know galaxy. There was a logsical system and point system that was used to dictate the size of the forces used in the in-game battles. Its hard to explain in a simple way. LOL, by the end of it. Steel Command league was complex. It might be helpful to google it and see what it pulls up! If you need more explaination let me know. I'll try my best to explain it.

This actually doesn't seem like such a bad idea. It sounds like it's an alternative format for having a clan league with the results of clan matches being represented on a map instead of on a ranked ladder. However, I wonder, why do you think you'll be able to convince people to get organized in online multiplayer and to play clan matches this way when we don't have any semblance of anything like that using the traditional format?
(Or is my naive understanding of how this works inaccurate?)

Alright! After FINALLY reading those 4 pages and getting further up-to speed I feel a bit more confident on the going ons and WANT TO BE A PART OF IT! Seems like the advent has yet to have a faction made. I'll talk to my buddy about it but I know that I am most definately interested. Who else is interested about an Advent faction? Or is all the love for the TEC and their Vasari invaders?

Yeah is like a 'clan' ladder or league. Just its taken one step farther by adding Role Playing element and an extensive web based aspect of the game. The hope in getting people to join is the fact while its competitive, its also friendly and adds more to winning than just winning. I for one dont know all the underworking of SCL, Im limited to faction based understanding. Cuz I wanted to join the orginial but never got the chance.
On a side note, it be great if we got an injection of current Online players. I can speak for myself, that Im not good. But I dont wanna any faction to die within 2 turns cuz any suck that bad. And I do hope to see if I can draw from the players who dont play online alot and/or suck like me. Best way to learn is to play in a format that has rules.

Alright. I have talked to my friend (We go by Citzen General Lu and Ender's Game) if you've played with us, and our favorite/best race is the TEC, We'd like to sign up today, recieve our 100 credit bonus (which would be a crapload considering that thats HALF the cost of a scout ship) as faction members. Both him and I are decent at the game... reading your rules of recruitment now but perhaps you'd like to try us out or something but until then my interest goes with United Explorers of the Trade Emergancy Coalation.
I am excited to hear that we have some people intrested in joining up with the -Ue_ !

Well we need to get this started. We should consider the our coorperation to be full to encourage other factions to start filling with people not to mention the actuall creation of the advent faction...

i think im going to have to agree with Mercury.
the other faction needs members as we also need some one to start an advent faction.
once these two factions get started we will then start actively recruting again,
kinda hard to be the winning faction when your the only faction!
with this said we will still take applicates to our faction, though you may have to wait a bit before you are inducted into or ranks.
we would take you right away but as we are the only faction to have members join us, we cant take everyone. hopefully the other factions will get members soon!

IMHO, ppl will gravatate to whichever race they like no matter how big 1 side gets. There will be ppl who love Advent or Vasari. They might be a minority but there out there.
I for one am not gonna say we are full. In fact we are not even close to a number I would like to see before we get picky on recruitment. Im not gonna force someone to play another race just cuz the numbers are not there. I would hate to play Vasari or Advent. I personaly, if I was forced into that situation I rather just sit out and wait till the faction/race I wanted opened up.
If we want more activity and recruitment in any race we all need to spead the word on what this league is about and where and how to join. Not limit how and who you can join.
